The sage design is the best for edc hands down. I prefer the CF version for weightiness and texture, but the LW FRN version is the best LW version of a knife they make, imo. Have owned both.
I recently acquired a Sage5 LW and love it more than my Para3 LW’s. I love the Sage5’s blade shape, how the thumb-hole is incorporated within the leaf-shape, great contour. Great video..!
Such great points that people rarely consider. I think the discreetness of the Sage 5 LW is hugely underrated while having every feature you could want
I love the sage but man I dunno I think ur giving ppl too much credit, I feel at least around my parts ppl will freak out if I pull out anything other than a classic red cellidor scale SAK
I lost my Sage 5 LW and before replacing had to use my Para 3 that it supplanted and got several “woah there” type comments using it that I never got with the Sage 5
Heh, your pt 5 is especially appropriate for me. The first modern Spyderco I bought was a M4 Shaman, and I just got my M4 Sage 5 LW today. I absolutely love it, and expect it to be my EDC for quite some time.
thanks, man! i was wondering the difference between that and the para 3. i like the possible dress blade vibe but won't those scales mess up your inner pockets when clipped or is it smooth?
There’s a compromise with FRN handles, not as grippy as G-10 yet lighter. These scales would never mess up your pockets because they’re virtually just indestructible plastic.

New subscriber. The knife pictures you post on are really inspiring as they are such high quality. Thanks for sharing.
