Got my Tragus piercing 2.5 weeks ago. Hurt level a 4. At a week someone accidentally bumped it which caused it to swell more, but I soaked it twice a day by sticking my ear in a cup of saline solution 5 mins each time twice a day, now 8 days later the swelling from being bumped is down, still some initial swelling, but one of my easiest piercing to date. (I have 9)
Appreciate your story! I had my tragus pierced in February. It gave me hell like no other piercing lol. I managed to save it, but I do have a dark scar around it now, which I hope fades eventually. It’s so cute, I kinda want my other one done now, but I’m scared to go through all that again 😂😂😂 Also you look beautiful and I love your locs ❤
It’s interesting about not cleaning. I had a helix done with a gun 😳 and a rook done with a needle, and I don’t remember at the time about the constant cleaning, and I never had issues with either of them, nor do I remember being told about a 6-12 month healing process
I bought a gallon of DISTILLED water. I would mix a glass with 1 teaspoon of sea salt, then dip cotton balls inside. I’d clean and then let the wet cotton balls sit on piercings for an hour, then rinse off and let air dry.
Yea. I went back to the same person. I don’t think it was her fault it got infected. It’s been a year this month since I got the 2nd Tragus and I never had a problem with it. I did not clean it daily as instructed. Just left it alone.
@allyouget320 yeah try just leaving it alone and see if it heals better. When I got my 2nd tragus piercing I did absolutely nothing and he healed really well. Never had an issue with it.

Sometimes I want my other one done too. It’s all healed now so I can re pierce it. But I think I’ll leave it alone 😀
@@alamodedesign yeah I think I might leave mine alone too, and get my faith done instead 😂

It's been 4 months for me and it's still tender to the touch. I keep it clean, usually twice a day. Maybe I should leave it alone
