    Curious as to why these high end head units don't have the network mode option. Seems the ability to control the low, bandpass, and high frequencies in the networked mode is more precise than what the AVIC models provide. Pay more, get less?

    About the source level adjuster. Is the FM source itself adjustable? I was able to adjust other sources except the FM. The FM is not loud enough and I have to increase the volume all the time just to get a good quality. Other sources are fine. I wish I could increase the FM source itself

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 5 лет назад

      The design idea behind Source Level Adjuster is to make all source volume levels similar to FM. So that when you switch between sources there should not be a large change in volume from one source to the next. With the Source Level adjuster, all source volume levels are compared to FM and so FM is the base line and can not be changed. If the other sources in your system are louder than FM, you can use the Source Level Adjusted to lower the volume of the other sources to match the volume of FM. The Blue/White wire from the Pioneer in-dash receiver is usually used to switch on/off external amplifiers. You can learn more about the Blue/White wire here: ruclips.net/video/-bF3uzzaT30/видео.html When replacing the in-dash receiver, in some vehicles, to retain things like door chimes, or GM on-star or factory amplifiers, a factory amp module is recommended. Many are available, you can see one possibility here: metraonline.com/part/AX-GMLAN44-SWC If you don't know how to install parts like these, I recommend taking your vehicle to a qualified car stereo shop for help with installation. • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 5 лет назад

      Source Level Adjuster is used to make any source, for example: Bluetooth, USB, CD, louder or quieter when compared to AM/FM Radio at any given volume level. When you change the music source from FM to Bluetooth to USB, there should be little or no change in the volume level. You can use Source Level Adjuster to make this correction in your system. How do you adjust the source level when in carplay? I find that whenever i get a call the volume is so low i have to turn up the main volume to max so that i can hear anything. But when the call ends i have to turn the volume all the way back down because its so loud when it goes back to playing music.
    I want to be able to adjust the call volume independently to the main apple music volume. Apple music plays at a good level but when the call comes in, the call volume is low i have to turn it up the main volume control to max.

    My audio settings are constantly greyed out no matter what source I’m listening to. I have my light green wire hooked up correctly. When I apply the brake I get access to more settings like Bluetooth settings but I NEVER can press any of my audio settings at all. Can’t turn on subwoofer output or set EQ or any option other then MUTE. Really frustrating that the 141 page user manual contains no hints at all on how to adjust them. I’ve purchased and installed several head units from pioneer and never had any problems until this AVH-1330NEX. Hoping somebody has a clue as to what’s happening.

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 5 лет назад +1

      If possible, I recommend to use the vehicle's factory antenna, often with an adapter, to fit the new in-dash receiver. In many cases this will give you the best radio reception. If you are installing an aftermarket antenna, I recommend putting the antenna in a vertical position on the outside of the vehicle. The higher the antenna is on the vehicle the better. You can find a video about using Pioneer NEX HD Radio here: ruclips.net/video/sQ4-BiI6oKc/видео.html Be sure to check the Local Setting on the HD Radio. Switching Local Off may help to solve the issue. Please answer these questions and I'll do my best to help. In the Audio Settings Menu, under Speaker Level, what settings are available? What are the rear speaker settings? Are you using the RCA outputs from the in-dash receiver to the stock amplifier? Or are you using the speaker outputs from the in-dash receiver to the stock amplifier? Are both front and rear connected from the in-dash receiver to the stock amplifier? Is there a subwoofer in the stock system? If so, is the subwoofer operating at normal levels? Are you using idatalink Maestro RR in this system? You can find more videos about Pioneer AVH-4200NEX here: ruclips.net/video/vNHEvsZ5JKc/видео.html

      Hey Deckerd Otto, thanks for the reply. I didnt install so might have a small prob. I can answer a few of your Qs. speaker level settings are
      on and everything i do does nothing to change the back . my av light in source menu is lite up but i think they forgot to hook up my usb again.
      Rear settings are on. sub is on but i dont here a diff when playing with that volume. not sure if there is a sub in the stock system. as far as connection goes,
      Im not sure. I will however tell them or show them what u say. How would you hook it up in each scenario? Av must be hooked up if i have that option on source. I did have them hook up a switch so i could play a dvd while driving. any help would be appreciated. If you do it step by step would help me also . THanks in advance.

      Here is a video about the camera settings available on AVH-4200NEX: ruclips.net/video/6VY10uChNTI/видео.html The camera should show automatically when the vehicle is put in it's reverse gear. If this is not working be sure to switch it on in the camera settings menu. The camera must be wired correctly into the vehicle for this to operate. You can see more about wiring in this video: ruclips.net/video/-bF3uzzaT30/видео.html

      It sounds like there is a PAC, or Metra, or iDatalink bus adapter being used in the installation. Before I can provide more advice on this issue I'll need to know manufacturer and model number of the adapter. And one more question, Can you make and receive Bluetooth hands free phone calls through the in-dash receiver while driving?
      Here is a play list of videos about Pioneer AVH-4200NEX. ruclips.net/video/I97A2ETWVEo/видео.html There are about 30 videos in the playlist to demonstrate the operation of this in-dash receiver.

    Source level adjuster = distortion dont do it I learned the hard way 😂

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 5 лет назад

      The Source Level Adjuster is a tool used to adjust the audio level from one source compared to another, and all sources compared to AM/FM Radio, when the master volume is set to a given number. The idea is simple. When you change from one audio source to another, there shouldn't be a large drop in volume or a large jump in volume. The tool is not designed to make your system louder. If you are using a hammer and you hit your thumb, don't blame the hammer.
      The goal is to create an audio system with little or no distortion. If the in-dash receiver's RCA outputs clip they create a distorted audio signal. That distorted audio signal is then in turn amplified by the subwoofer amp or other amplifiers in the system. In a well designed and set up audio system, you should be able to turn up the master volume to, or near it's maximum, and not hear any distortion from the speakers in the system. If you have all of these settings (for example: EQ, speaker levels, crossover levels, bass boost etc...) set to zero or lower you should be able to turn the volume up to it's max, and the RCA outputs of the in-dash receiver should not clip and create distortion that will in turn be amplified by your system. If you add in a boosted signal on the in-dash receiver from any of the audio controls (for example: EQ, speaker levels, crossover levels, bass boost etc...) this may cause the in-dash receiver's RCA outputs to clip and create distortion at high output levels.
      So...
      Here is an example. This is hypothetical, please don't take the numbers literally and try to translate them to any given in-dash receiver. In this best case scenario I have excellent amplifiers and well matched speakers. My in-dash receiver master volume control has a maximum volume level number of 50. I have all of the audio settings set to zero, and I can turn up the master volume to 50 and the RCA outputs do not clip. I set the gains on the amplifiers so that there is no distortion. That's what I want.
      Now, I add in a subwoofer level control adjustment of +5. When I turn up the master volume I can get to only volume level 45 before I begin to hear distortion coming from my speakers. If I add in an EQ adjustment on the 80Hz frequency band of +4, my master volume begins to distort now at volume level 41. Remember I started at volume level 50 with no distortion. Please note this is just a hypothetical example. In this example, the in-dash receiver is causing the distortion and sending that distorted signal to the amplifiers. The amps and speakers are simply doing the job they were designed to do.
      What's the solution?
      Use the audio controls to your best advantage. If you set them to zero or lower, your in-dash receiver shouldn't be creating noise. Set the gain controls on your amplifiers so you don't hear any distortion at high volume levels. If you want to add in a +1 or +2, that's OK as long as you realize you may be getting distortion at the highest volume levels. You need to find the settings that works best for you. If you are trying to balance your system so all of the speakers are at or near the same volume level, consider lowering the volume level of some speakers rather than raising the volume level of one individual speaker.
      If you are using Bluetooth Audio as your main music source, consider lowering the volume level on the Phone. It's possible, the phone is overloading the input through Bluetooth Audio, and the distortion is beginning right there. If you set the volume level on the phone lower, you may be able to turn up the master volume level on the in-dash receiver with less distortion. If you want more volume, you might want to consider a more powerful amplifier and speakers. You can find more videos about Pioneer NEX in-dash receiver's here: ruclips.net/video/PeH_h8UHzBw/видео.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's You tube Channel here: ruclips.net/user/pioneerelectronics
