- This is the first explanation video of a série where i will show some fatsan pakmei classical moves. In this first one, i show Soo Sao following with Chong Choy in a usual combo.Be indulgent with me, the talking in front of the camera like an actor are a new experience and need more time to masterd :)
Enjoy!
a good fighting art because:
1. it can use few movements to solve many types of attacks. The fewer moves you need, the more effective it is.
2. know to pin down your opponents hand, prevent he from making a fake attack.
3. consecutive attacks.
4. some practical techniques good at self defense
5. suitable for short guys, who strength is weak but high at agility.
Amazing demonstration. Many misunderstood that the explosiveness comes from muscles, but many don’t know it’s from the tendons.
Easily some of the best pak mei I have seen. Sir, you represent your style wonderfully.
I'm humbled by your respect dedication and skill.
Had to watch this again.. Your teacher must be very proud of you :)
Very excellent, perfect combinations, thanks for posting.
Great explanation Thank you Sifu.
You know for all the bull Kung Fu gets from mma elitists, this is very no nonsense, direct hard hitting stuff with many applications akin to that of more modern styles. I heard Bak Mei could be very brutal, but this just confirms it.
Not that kungfu gets from mma elitists, but the mma elitists get from kungfu ! Kungfu has existed earlier than mma, for hundreds and thousands of years !
Awesome. I love Pak Mei Kung Fu.
under the jaw punch is great because its a nerve, punch through the opponent with jou sou
Very good video. Looking forward to see number two!
Amazing style and excellent video
So good Sifu John! I have been working exploring this style and you are both a great role model as well as teacher. Very thorough. Very good content and I appreciate your sharing!
Very good video. I learned from my teacher no fight should last longer than 30 seconds. You demonstrated that principle in an excellent manner. Excuse me, I don;t know your name, but the tall fellow is extremely fast, but I know it is not as fast as he can be. Also, the techniques here much more realistic on the street where you are likely to act fast in the situation. It is best you keep your feet and stance solidly on the ground, as demonstrated here. Very good work.
I look forward to seeing you longer videos. Thank you.
Dedicated! Respect from HK pak Mei
Excellent movement Sifu John, please can you do a video using the leopard fist in the future? Thanks.
Wonderful system, we need real Fat San Pak Mei in Mexico.
i like a lot how do yo workout!
Much respect from switzerland
Thank you for your break down of the moves. I enjoy your teaching and your approach to the art.
INTERESTING YOUR PROPOSAL
THE PAK MEI HAS MANY RESOURCES DEFENSE AND ATTACK.
GREETINGS.
make more application videos ,please!
Very good video! Goob job!!
We want more videos like this.
I think u did a great job! I look forward to your series always good to see the real fatsan kungfu. I also visited Fatsan in 2006 & 07 & there I met Grandmaster Mai Yu Qiang & his lion dance team in the Wong fei hung temple. At the time I didn't know he was so famous! Good video!
very nice, I cant help but notice the terminology and alot of the same techniques as Wing Chun. It has to of come from the same family from 150-200 years ago. Regardless great job guys.
please release a dvd set!!!!
Like this, Sifu....
Love the video! Thanks so much and god bless you....
Well done....merci
Very good, it reminds me of Bak FU Pai and Wing Chun.
Best Pak Mei Sifu
Great job.
Nice I did not know that lai chi poe allready had such nice application although I practiced hakka pak mee in paramaribo Surinam and the netherlands.
hi arnold funny to see your comment here, but im from suriname. do you mind telling me who i can contact to learn pak mei here? id greatly appreciate it.
Nice. Clean and no flowers. Since only about 10% of the population is left handed you might consider working against an orthodox (left foot/left hand forward) presenting partner. Being a "southpaw" has many advantages in real world. Most street trash doesn't even realize it until way too late. Step into the Dead Door and blast with the two limbs on one limb advantage. Simple and effective.
Thankyou
Great!
I like this guy. nice explanation
I love this!
Greetings Sifu.. Can you show us how this can be applied by a small woman against a larger man? Or just a smaller person in general? Or do you recommend different tactics to smaller weaker people?
wellcome to fat san ,fat san is my home town
What is your linkage and which forms are you using? interested on it.
He should go to the UFC and kick some ass
Does anyone know the translation of "Soo" Sao or the Chinese characters?
索手?
Considering the fact there are edge of hand and open hand strikes how do you spar and familiarise yourself with getting hit whilst continuing with the fight in say an unprovoked attack? Thanks.
is Fat San a different style of Pak Mei from others? or simply the town he teaches in? are there different styles of white eyebrow? what are they and how do they differ?
Do you use ging force in this style of kung fu?
Nice moves
When are you going to make explanation video part 2? Sifu?
Where you located at and do you sell DVDs for a person learn at home I was want to learn to style cuz I can never find a place to go look at it please get back with me I appreciate it
Cool

looks like you can fight, why not try UFC?
A lot of these practitioners don't really care about competing for others entertainment. You be surprised how many of them actually are big fans of MMA, but they too train just as hard for self preservation and be able to fight if need be.
