One advantage of cotton air filter is u can clean it with petrol & reuse it again while paper air filter cant b done same& need to b replace,air filter helps in better mileage,good air fiter means good condition of carburetor unless there is good quality petrol

Sir meri bike me filter nhi hai maine filter ki jagha kapre ke 2 cover se dhap dya hai . . or ab gadi garam bhi nhi hoti or petrol bhi kam khati hai . air filter se hawa zayada nhi jati jis ki wajah se piston ko age peeche hone me taqt lagani parhti hai or wo taqt zyada petrol jalne se milti or air zyada ane se piston age peeche aaram se hota hai or petrol bhi kam jalta hai . . mujhe 3saal hogaye hai bina air filter se chala rha hon .

You can change but normally air filter last longer like 10000-15000kms..
