in australia V8s never took off like in the USA bc of our much higher fuel costs so we have been working on 6 cyclinder engines world leaders, we have many 6s that will trounce a chevy or fords sml block v8s while using half the fuel, and our 6s have been tested to 1mil kms since the 70s something ford usa is just doing now a 90s ford with a V6 with 250thousand kms is considered a good engine with heaps of life left in Aust at a cost of around 800 USD[thats in a running car]
