    Breaking, new SSDI and SSI announcement from Social Security
    In this live stream we are talking about a new announcement that was released from the Social Security administration as it pertains to SSDI and SSI benefits, both of which are administered by the Social Security administration. These programs send out ongoing monthly benefit checks to roughly 16,000,000 beneficiaries. We're talking about some changes that were just introduced and announced by the Social Security administration as far as how they are changing and removing obsolete occupations from the dictionary of occupational titles which could potentially prevent someone from receiving SSDI benefits. We are discussing the details of this announcement from Social Security and exactly what it means for SSDI and SSI beneficiaries as well as people who are awaiting approval of SSDI or SSI benefits from Social Security.

      No, that is a must he doesn’t tell them what you can be! The male or female Occupational Job Officer ask you a series of questions and, like for me with having the chronic illness that, I have he had to see if, I could grasp money in hand and, to see if, I could manage to then, hand him money! That is a must like it or not because, if you can do some of these skills more than someone physically disabled may not be able to do then, you got to figure they are trying to see on what degree you really can do these tasks! 34:05 34:05

    • @sr2291
      @sr2291 9 дней назад

      @susanlampmon7246 Most SSI lawyers work for free but take a commission if they win your case. So it shouldn't cost anything upftont.

    • @sonyafox3271
      @sonyafox3271 8 дней назад

      @@sr2291 No, SSI Lawyers do not get paid nothing and, no they do not get paid on commission, that’s completely false! Attorneys get paid if they when, your case, it comes out of a percentage of that 3 yrs of back pay out of the first percentage you receive! Usually, The Social Security Administration will tell you when, it’s time for you to hire a attorney! It isn’t the fact someone that because, someone does or doesn’t have a attorney, every disability is different and everyone has different disability to different degree, therefore, sometimes it some longer than others! So, don’t assume want you have no knowledge about! It takes on the average of 3 yrs or a little over 3 yrs because, even though, I had gotten access to medical records, the SSA has a order in which they do things! Even, once, I got a attorney they wanted me to do somethings, they also are trying to get a second opinion and, sometimes they may even send you to the doctors you already have, which, I have witnessed! They pretty much want medical records about 3 times, they also are trying to see consistency in the doctors reports. You have to get a medical exam that’s quite lengthy, I had to have repeated test’s that at the time had recently from where, I got my medical treatment but, I still had to go where they wanted me to go, and, you can’t miss them, you have to do it and, you can’t complain about it! When, my hearing was close to the time, I was told to get updated medical records sent out! I was on it so, I had a attorney but, I had 30 days to get those medical records in, so, at the time it was a little over 3 wks and, they literally came the following day! 34:05

    I apply for SSDI due to losing my vision to retinitis pigmentosa Matt, the same eye condition that you have. Like you said a lot of people do get denied fairly quickly. I applied in December 2011 when I left my job from working with the military due to eyesight failure I was granted SSDI in April 2011 at the very beginning on 2 April I applied on December 11, 2010 I was granted fairly quickly unlike most people who are not and I think it’s bullshit that people get denied so fast because SSI or SSDI does not want to pay out but then again, what can I say about the government they don’t want to give The proper rights to people that they should. 9:30

    • @sonyafox3271
      @sonyafox3271 8 дней назад

      The Social Security Administration, a Secretary called me and, she said, we got your application and, we deny you the first time and, then, you have to reapply! But, she did let me know that they we’re looking at my case very seriously and, she pretty much led me through the beginning process, usually the day, I got a letter in the mail she would call me and tell me the next step! That was up until it was time to hire a attorney and, yes, she also told me usually it takes 3 yrs on average but, there are certain individuals whose cases take longer, they are different physical and mental disabilities and, therefore, everyone’s case isn’t going to be the same and, they aren’t going to have that disability to the same degree, each case is different and, that’s the main reason way, it isn’t necessarily whether one has a attorney or not! Because, your attorney gets paid out of your money! 34:05

    • @withoutlimitsbudgets
      @withoutlimitsbudgets 8 дней назад

      Correction, I only applied starting in December 2010. At that time all five of my kids were underneath my account. They were each receiving $310, since that time my children have become of age and moved out of the house so no longer receive checks for them. However, the three remaining kids that I have in my house are receiving $666 a month. My check is just over $1400 per month. I was able to put my children underneath me because of the credits that I had while I was working and I didn’t have a problem again. I guess it goes towards me being blind and irreversible due to its permanent disability. I was able to also get my $142,000 student loan completely forgiven underneath the understanding as well due to my permanent disability. I had a masters degree well I should say I do have a masters degree in clinical psychology, but the problem is I’m considered a high risk employee due to the fact that I cannot see on the other side if they were able to get up and try to cause physical harm to me, so therefore I make huge liability for any lockdown psychiatric unit and I can’t use my degree at all. The government forgave the entire student loan due to my disability as well @@sonyafox3271 I guess it just depends on the disability that you have. For those of us who are blind that goes through pretty quickly from my understanding at least that was my case and I did not need to have an attorney. I filled out the paperwork that they asked me to fill out, December 2010 and I got check started for my children who are underneath my account in April 2011. They had approved my case and then I got my check started as well so my backpay wasn’t very much because I only had to play in December 2010.

      He didn’t say that, no it’s SSI or SSDI! SSI are for those that are young or old who may not have enough of a work history to be able to receive SSDI! For those who can drawl SSDI have a work history and drawl much more beyond the amount that people with SSI get per month! Because, they have a work history that SSDI will allow them to drawl much more per month, it just all varies on their work history, hrs put in and paid into Social Security through the yrs, then, age on top of it, again it all varies! 34:05

    I have been on disability for 35 years. I have a severe seizure disorder. I had part of the brain removed, a VNS implanted, & now i could be heading back to DUMC for a RNS implanted in my brain. Just need someone to sit with me for a sleep deprivation study. I collect for my social security & my fathers. Because found disabled as a minor. Took me 4 years to be found disabled & lucky i was able to file on parents benefits because, when i was found disabled as a minor. I guess i am lucky to be found disabled when i did, but my social life pretty much ended then. I just hope other people are lucky with benefits like me, but i would rather have my life back. Goodluck to all.👍
