My father started out as an assistant manager in Queens, NY, was transferred to Youngstown Ohio as a manager, and finally in Baltimore. I have many fond memories of Robert Hall.

I didn’t remember Robert Hall had a jingle, but once it started it all came back and I was singing along with it. Wow!

Brought back memories instantly. My parents shopped there for us. Easter coats, dresses. My brother's corduroy pants that lasted a long time even for him☺. My dad writing a check for the total. He worked so hard for us. Robert Hall was one of the stores that kept us well dressed.

I remember the jingle and the commercials well. My grandmother used to bring me there to buy a suit prior to every Easter during my teen years. Fond memories.

Yes! The Easter suit, where else but there, then the phots on the front lawn to follow. Great reminder, thanks!

We had a Robert Hall in Waterburyt Connecticut. Yup! Got our Sunday and Easter finest suits there! Was a ritual. They played this jungle relentlessly! This jingle just popped into my head a little while ago so I googled the name and found this site! Looks like it's more than just me that is crazy for nostalgia and the' good old days'. I'm 70 so this was in the early 60's/ late 50's. What a great childhood! Thanks Mom, thanks Pops! Now I understand what you were telling and trying to teach us!

"The prices go up, Up, UP ...and the Values go down, Down, DOWN!" (a friend and I had a very weird sense of humor.)

Got a lot of Summer peasant tops in the 70s at that store. I wish they never went out of business I’ve missed them since the 70s.

Long after the stores were gone, I went to work for a guy who'd call me "Plain Pipe Racks." I had no idea what the heck he was talking about because the jingle was before my time....

I remember hearing "high quality, economy" rather than "low overhead, low overhead."

Yes but there were different versions in different periods of time. This may have been a real early commercial

I think both of these Robert Halls are located in NE Philly; one at Cottman Ave & Roosevelt Blvd (now Auto Zone) and the other at 7700 Frankford Ave (now a Wawa)
