It’s for bringing the temperature of the concrete down. Certain jobs have that in the spec, usually when the slab is thick. Concrete temperatures can get so hot that it can explode is what I’ve heard.
There are three concrete companies in the area, but I'm not sure if they are hiring. There is Quality Concrete, Valley Concrete and OSCO Concrete, you could look into.

@@dallasamckinney Past couple years it's been amazing, typically doing 60-70 hours per week year round. This year has been brutal though, with interest rates going up a lot of condo high rise projects have been put on hold. I've been averaging about 10-20 hours per week for the past couple months
Forth and back. Back and forth. Going around. All around. Up and down. Across town. Wherever there's construction G.I. Joe... opps... I mean Big D is there.

Are you guys hiring? I've been driving ready mix for about 6 years now out of Toronto. Been thinking about moving to the east coast :)

Not sure what the starting rate is probably around $22-23 and yes union if you want to call it that. its the labor union.
