Freedom Convoy 2022 Lincoln New Brunswick
Where are you located? Also curious what you are recording with?
I'm in New Brunswick Canada. My first videos were on the Iphone 8plus but this video and recent others I`m using the Iphone 12 Pro Max
Love the words "WASH OUT" at the end of a long day
Amen!
all that traffic looks like the 401 in Toronto glad I don't see that anymore lol that Sunbury driver must not of checked the latches to make sure container was secure
Yeah not fun I’m sure.
I’ve been trying to get driver position at Cemex here in Las Vegas…but no luck. The company says they hire Class B with no experience.I have Class B with only buses as experience. But still no luck. Any advice?
Not sure man maybe tell them that as they train you they don’t have to pay you if you don’t catch on but if you do they pay you.
A whopper for breakfast?? lol 😆
Breakfast of champions… or just lazy🤔
Hey mate... Aussie here. Whats the temp there your guys are batching and pouring in? Looks bloody cold. I am new to the Agi driving role. Carpenter by trade and trying something different.
well in this video it was +1 so above freezing but depending on where there pouring depends on whether we pour or not. We can pour in -10 or colder depends on if the forms or houses... are heated or not. but concrete will freeze if its not covered and heated, we also use hot water in the winter time. Hope that helps, how you like the job?
More Jackhammer videos. i want to see jackhammering... :) Haha. Just kidding. Great video.
🤣 haha 😂 you’ll just have to stay tuned.
I’ve been a cable guy for 25 years. I’m thinking about driving for a concrete company like you’re doing for about 7 years before I retire. Your thoughts?
Well if inconsistent hrs and sometimes long hrs and depending on the outfit your wanting to work for has some nice trucks with A/C😎. Also you’ll probably be at the bottom of the totem pole so you will probably get a lot of the jobs others won’t want. If you’re ok with dealing with the problems that winter brings although you may be laid off for winter. But with all that said I think it’s a good gig to settle into retirement if you like driving a lot. What province or state will you be working?
The jack hammer music effects are intense!
😂 yeah love that part.
Trailer of ice? What’s that for?
It’s for bringing the temperature of the concrete down. Certain jobs have that in the spec, usually when the slab is thick. Concrete temperatures can get so hot that it can explode is what I’ve heard.
Did he ever find his remote?
Nope they programmed a new one.
What was the implication of the title of the video. Im about get into ready mix driving. Was going to truck otr
😂 did you skip talking parts😂 it was doing wheel barrels down a hole when you can’t see what’s going on.
@@dallasamckinney yeah, my bad. I sent this before watching the video to completion.. thanks for the reply
Np there are other driving ones. Enjoy
Just started in the Ready- Mix industry. Good pay, Lot's of people helping me learn the slump and procedures for different job sites. I'll be laid off come winter. But I'm OK with that ☺ This could be the Job I retire from in 15 or so years. 48 now. Driven trucks since my 20's.
Good to be humble and learn all we can, for there's always something new to learn. Where you working at in the world?
@@dallasamckinney Ontario, Canada :)
Must be busy up there?
@@dallasamckinney Hit and miss as I'm the new guy. But got some overtime. I dig this job. Pretty chill and good folks. God Bless.
That’s really nice when you’ve got a job you like and when the atmosphere is chill.
Where is home base Dallas?
New Brunswick
Alberta
Must be busy out there?
It gets crazy busy at times. I'm sure you know all about it.
Yup sometimes feast or famine.
I carry a jug of hot water with me because sometimes the air pump will freeze so I pour it over the pump to get it going
Sounds like your air dryer isn't working well or there's water left in the system too long.
I told my friend I was studying cement for a living. He said, " That sounds like a hard job".
Very hard...🤣
What’s the least hours you would work in the slow season and how long does it usually last I’m starting at SRM in a few days first time ever doing ready mix
In Saint John NB, full time person might get 20-30hrs in the winter. Someone just starting out might 8-16hrs or none at all. Depends on how busy it is. What Province or State are you in and is it a big city?
I’m located in Richmond, Virginia. I’m currently working at a papermill called westrock top pay there is 37 which could possibly take years to reach it being that everything is based off seniority. But I prefer being a truck driver to make a living being that it’s something I love. I see that SRM says it’s no top out in pay which caught my attention. Last year I made 70k working in the mill so I’m kind of stuck in between a rock and a hard place! Any advice for a young man? And could I make a lot of money being a ready mix driver?
And it’s a Southeastern state
I think $22-23 is top rate here so your way better off staying where your at. Plus I’m in Canada so…
Are you guys hiring? I've been driving ready mix for about 6 years now out of Toronto. Been thinking about moving to the east coast :)
There are three concrete companies in the area, but I'm not sure if they are hiring. There is Quality Concrete, Valley Concrete and OSCO Concrete, you could look into.
@@dallasamckinney Ah I see. What's the starting rate approximately for drivers? Are you guys unionized over there on the east coast? Sorry for all the questions 😄
Not sure what the starting rate is probably around $22-23 and yes union if you want to call it that. its the labor union.
Toronto must be really busy?
@@dallasamckinney Past couple years it's been amazing, typically doing 60-70 hours per week year round. This year has been brutal though, with interest rates going up a lot of condo high rise projects have been put on hold. I've been averaging about 10-20 hours per week for the past couple months
Forth and back. Back and forth. Going around. All around. Up and down. Across town. Wherever there's construction G.I. Joe... opps... I mean Big D is there.
Yup definitely get to see a lot of places.
The music junked another video 👎👎👎👎👎💩💩💩💩😬
Thanks for your input maybe you can find something else on my channel that's entertaining for you. God Bless.
great recovery well done folk,, the camera up in the sky is great to have an overall view , you have fine trucks for recovery and good men around the work area well done ,, greetings from ireland
Thanks and hello from Canada God bless you
@@dallasamckinney your more than welcome , thank you too
Your welcome that recovery was a one of. I was off work and noticed it so turned the camera on and got some good footage.
Are you back Dallas or is this an old video
No this is old footage I'm working through. Hows Roy making out?
Those butterflies always do that in that place?
Great living in Oromocto in a new apartment building@@dallasamckinney
How you like that?
I used to drive the EXACT twin to that truck although it was bright yellow and it was from N.B. as well according to the old safety inspection I found. I started driving it in 2014 out here in Saskatoon. It was a great truck to drive with that massive bumper and even though it sits in a barn and doesn't get driven much,as I now drive a 2021 western star I still miss the one I started my career in concrete in. We have 2 twins with the pto out the front from New Brunswick. I wonder if they worked for the same company that this mixer did. I hope the driver is okay. I've been blessed to not have as serious an accident as this, but I've been close.
Cool if it was yellow it probably belonged to Quality Concrete. Are you still working in ready-mix? Yes the driver was fine.
@@dallasamckinney yup! I'm still driving mixer. I really hope that driver got to keep his job,one mistake can teach a lifetime but hopefully didn't have him loose it.
like a little kid dal lol
😀
oh wow thats a little scary I recognize the place too. hope the driver was ok
Yup driver fine don’t remember whether he was sitting in it or not.
Since I began driving truck I've been able to pray more, talk to God more, listen to my sermons with no interruptions and my Christian music. Getting closer to Him everyday
Praise The Lord.
Amen brother. That’s very appropriate use of your time!
When I grow up, I want to be a concrete inspector.
Cool when will that be?😁
When my wife says so...
😂
Most times the biggest hassle with work is dealing with traffic.
Yes indeed, I'm sure its frustrating in those big cities. My city isn't too bad but can have its challenges at times.
and customer.
Ivver but boy there wverver@jasonim235 Can be... 40 years ago when I started there were few jobs that were pumped and therefore a lot of chute pours. Made me a better driver but boy there were moments.
Yeah there were a lot of paddling on walls but everything seems to be pumped now a days.
Finger must not be use due abuse is being expose usa yup.😮
Not sure what your saying.
I have to agree it's always something! Take heart brother we all feel that not wanting to work but the good lord keeps us going one of the guys I work with is 78 so us young 60+ pups should still have a lot left in the tank 😅
Yup for sure I know 70, 80 year olds that could out work me. But thankfully the Lord is working on us.
amen on automatics lol love that I have one too
Nice what kind of truck?
@@dallasamckinney it’s a 2023 Freight liner cascadia
And for the record I have a 5 cent tip of the day too. Always look over your shoulder in case the concrete inspector is lurking around waiting to catch you turning the water valve on...
Good tip. haha
For a minute there, I thought you were going to drive away with that hose still in the tank...
I thought that might get a few people. 🤣
@@dallasamckinney 👌
I didn't see the concrete inspector guy on site doing a slump test. I wonder how much water, opps, i mean catalyst was added to the mix to get it to pump through the auger... :)
There always there, lurking around the corner.:)
Breaker breaker Big Wheel. This is Wag Dog. Keep your stick on the ice and keep on rolling. 10-4 over.
Thanks
Haha did they ask you to blur the company? Judging by the title this video must have had a prior edit… good vid, good work.
Oops forgot to change that, no i just blurred as a courtesy.
Empty drum?
Nope full 8 meters i think, he was waiting to get unloaded.
Oh oh... someone broke their truck. 😮
ha
Sir can you give me your insta id
I have no car
Ok that's too bad maybe the Lord has other plans for you.
Sir i love super car but i am belong to Middle class family
Yes me too.

Oh cool.
No Tonto go town. Orange bandit there. Kemosabe no like orange lightening horse.

Thank you for the footage in Lincoln NB. Such great energy there from freedom loving Canadians. I was in the white Peterbilt (with big Canadian flag on the Grill) headed for Ottawa.
I am missing all those hero truckers.Love to all.!!!
