    This piece is entitled 'Estampie 1' and is transcribed from the Robertsbridge Codex (England 1360). There is also a performance by David Munrow on the positive organ.

    they play alot of different types, and mostly Renaissance style music because it's got more of it documented than anything else. But that's just the name of the group, and I'm glad that they're playing other music as well. Yes, estampie is from the middle ages.

      No, that's the name of the piece of music. An estampie is a type of medieval dance.

    They would be if it was Western European music from the Renaissance PERIOD. The name Renaissance Players doesn't just refer to Renaissance era music. :)
