Yes, that's right. But here comes a second point: Poco has decided not to let the SD8 Gen1 in the GT run too hot and also throttles it a bit with the kernel firmware. This also keeps power consumption within limits. On the other hand, one could have tried to achieve a consistent frame rate. On a 120hz panel it makes sense to aim for 40 fps or 60 fps (every third hz / second hz is one fps) to have less tearing. On a 90hz screen, 45 FPS would make sense (every second hz is an FPS). But it's definitely the case that Samsung's manufacturing process is significantly inferior. You can also see this with the RTX3000 graphics cards, which on average consume 30-40 watts too much because of the Samsung Node and cannot clock as high as AMD cards. But luckily that's changing now with the RTX 4000 series

Still, if you're okay with medium graphics and you can find it for a fair price, I can recommend it. Outside of gaming, the battery of the x3 GT was better than the F3's anyway.
x3 gt gaming performance is still below f3 but has better battery life, if you want an upgrade consider the x4 gt with dimensity 8100
@@initialds4903 Did they announce when Poco X4 GT is coming?
@@vitormascarenhas4884 thrs a scheduled stream by poco yt official on june 30th iirc
the teaser is about the reguler f4 and x4 gt global launch
Compare Xiaomi pad 5 and Xiaomi pad 5 pro please
For Outs and Home my choice is my S22u SD8Gen1 (because Camera, SPen and One Ui with Knox) but for Full Gaming definitely I use my Poco F3 especially in Genshin, AetherSX2 or Casuals (because SD870 born for that)
PD. Iphone SE 3 remember me the Sony Z1 Compact, a phone with the flagshig Soc of his time but 720p screen ufff a Beast!!!
When a mid-range smartphone released with a last year chip has a better gaming performance than any smartphone released in 2021.
The only Poco phone which has a fluid gaming performance stable 40-50fps is the Poco x4 gt it's the best phone for price out there
Pls guys I have a question which device got the best screen? You can see the difference? Colors etc
Did your Poco f3 dim?
Wait, is that power ussage on F4 GT lower than F3? Please confirm
yep, this is why the temp is also lower after 10 mins. basically i would say they downclocked the SD Gen1 in order to not have thermal throttling in day to day usage. but again it's all about the silicon, tsmc vs samsung foundries.
Yeah because the fps is lower.... Duh!!!
@@fanban2926 other way around.
Thx to random miui thermal on FRICKING GAMING PHONE LMFAO 🤣. By xiaomi logic : gaming phone = for gaming = oh, people must wanted lower fps compared to standard phone, thus xiaomi limit their flagship soc to the point that their flagship soc is just marketing gimmick
At same FPS the Snapdragon 870 is far more efficient than the 8 Gen 1 so no
can you tell what pc application you used to monitor those data? thanks for replying.
Why all this misinformation I have a poco 4 gt runs a refresh rate 60 smoothly
I own the f4 GT and for me value for Money is the main reason i love Xiaomi/Poco that being Said i think the performance câmeras battery the fast charge everything is in place i experience no lag but im not and extreme gamer. Gotta say it's a Shame that the older version seems to extract more power from 870 then 8 gen 1 can. Hoping that a few updates can increase the performance.
I bought mine from CS mobiles 8gram /128 450€ still an awesome value for the Money
Hi! Any update on the Poco F4 GT as of now? I'm planning to buy it maybe next year once I have enough budget.
@@e.claire9739 hello Claire well nothing really new , i'm currently running android 12 with miui 13.0.8 for me is still smooth. No performance issues in my opinion still th best poco to buy but if U want getting the normal f4 or even the f3 it's not a bad choice either
@@DoPe-vj5bb thank you very much! will take note of this 🥰
Hi I have a concern. I really want the Poco F4 GT but the new snapdragon 8 Gen 1 seems to be poorly optimized. I don't know much about chipsets so I was wondering if they do manage to optimize the current one, will it automatically update to your phone or will I need to buy a new phone with the newly optimized chipset?
umm maybe unlock this 48 fps lock with split screen?
Dimensity 8100/9000 can be used for Eggns? 3.00 and up
Snap 870 all day
Dimensity 1300 vs Snapdragon 870 ??Victory how?
Foco 😂
@Golden Reviewer can you try sd 870 phones with overclocked gpu? something like moto edge s?
Did screen dimming occurred while testing Gensin on F3? What OS version installed? How many RAM?
Alright.. I will go to cloud game for now
Whats the best mobile phone for this game?
Red magic 7spro
This dude hating on snapdragon gen 1. It's a newly released phone the games haven't optimized for the new devices test Xiaomi mi 12
No it just sucks. New 8+ gen 1 id better since it uses tsmc process node while 8 gen 1 uses samsung node which sucks.
I have a question. I don't know much about chipsets. According to research, it's been said that the new SnapDragon 8 Gen 1 is poorly optimized because it's new. Will this chip be optimized and if it will be optimized, will it be in somewhat of an upgrade package on my phone or will it require me to purchase a completely new phone with the optimized chipset?
For reference, I'm asking because I really want the Poco F4 GT but I want to know if the chipset will be optimized on my phone or if I will need to buy a brand new phone.
Please help
i have four pocof3 and one poco f2 pro
poco f3 is amazing devices,
compare to poco f2 pro (sd865), poco f3 has much more stable performance and better heat management
Are you getting black shark 5 or rog phone 6? looking forward to your tests
Waiting for Black shark 5 and 5 pro review

Interesting. Thanks for the Video!
Please test out the new X4 pro with dimensity 8100
Poco f4's hole looks like a big dot in front of poco f3's
Can you do a review on k40s ? Plz
I guess not fully optimize yet for poco f4 gt
hello my friends , which one should i buy
Poco x4 GT vs poco f3 next please. The 2 kings of value
Miui version of poco f3?
Basically 870 is still king of the midrange market
Test also the redmagic 7 with perfdog ✌️
Poco f4 is almost the same of poco f3 I.m wait of poco f4
Was the iPhone SE running at lower resolution? It completely destroyed other devices in terms of efficiency, including 13 Pro max and iPad mini.
iphone se has a 720p screen, lesser screen resolution=less load on gpu, all these other phones have either 1080p or a 1440p display which is why the se destroyed all of them
If you are a hobbit u will like iphone se otherwise get a 13 pro max lol far better gaming experience
how do you measure the avg fps what app you are using.
What's your miui version for poco f3?
gtNeo2vs Poco f3 please
Thanks for the comparision, waiting for F4 GT vs F4
Eita, eu acho o poco f3 mais bonito e melhor em desempenho
I see SD is following the steps of exynos
The snapdragon 8 gen 1 is incapable of running genshin impact at 60 fps, it's a pathetic chipset, a disappointing one please do not buy a snapdragon 8 gen 1 phone.
Laughs in red magic 7 pro
@@paimog9233 Alright, but that's a gaming phone specialized in gaming, it has multi coolers and all kinds of stuff, but the snapdragon 8 gen 1 overall is a piece of crap you can't deny it.
@@Abstronal6402Discord So what? Isnt a gaming phone better? Lmao. Its only problem is that it heats way faster but with the red magic 7 pro and with its dedicated cooling fan, 8 gen 1 is very capable of running genshin at stable 60fps
