the science factor in viktor is wut made him special now he's just a blend of malzahar's void story and ryzes mage looks+ironicly the mage that turned out to be viktor in ep 9 the one that saved jace was originally ryze I just find it hilarious cuz o their similarities now.honestly the old one is outdated but the concept was so good the new is good but the cconsept is so generic I would've preferred if they modernized the old concept with magic hints so that magic is still a part f him without assassinating wut made him special
A detail I think is important to the context of machine Harelds story you missed, is when Jayce attacks the warehouse and comes across the mutilated human bodies and robots, without context it looks awful like the creepy layer of a serial killer, and Jayce seems like the justified one for attacking, but when we look at Victor's pov he was doing everything in his power to save a bunch of people from a chem accident that left their brains and bodies eroding, with contacts his actions are selfless and Noble, without, it's nefarious and psychotic.
I honestly love both iterations of the character, even if the original doesn't have nearly enough development the concepts presented are fascinating, especially the contrast between arcanes Viktor and the machine Herald
New viktor is pretty cool but the scientist or machine themes are dead. They focused more on the herald aspect than the machine, so now he is more like "an alien herald that wants to lead human to perfection". Old viktor is dead and cannot be saved, except through a new champ. Somebody who agrees with viktor, seeing flesh as unreliable but he also learn from viktor's mistake that magic is too unpredictable and chaotic, so he uses machine which is the perfect balance (undying and controllable). So riot, please make the new machine herald.
@blacktigerpaw1 no, i need a new character because riot incompetently replace a unique old character and saying its a rework even tho its totally different concept.
I really wonder how the machine Harold managed to make such extensive modifications to himself with seemingly no assistance as far as we know, alterations to things like his spine or connecting to his brain and just overall parts that would be incredibly precarious or downright impossible to achieve by himself while awake and conscious to do it 🤔 I know it's irrelevant, it's just some food for thought.
this is just my headcannon, but in his workshop he has a lot of machines arms (the one like tony stark's lab), so maybe he have assitance from it. The obvious thing is he will not ask for help, he have been betrayed a lot by other human so he only have himself and machines to do his work.

A possible option could be if we were to take a bit of arcanes lore of him meeting singed as a child, who works with biology to genius degree, could have possibly went to singed for some of the operations he needed assistance with?. It's iffy but a possibility I think.
