This was a wholesome reveal of feelings. I think Anya has been wanting to share her powers with someone for awhile now. Anya dropping down her guard around Damien is HUGE for her character development. This can lead to a huge turn of events with the Desmonds. I wonder if Anya and Damian will have more quality time alone to be able to let their friendship grow.
Many highlights in this chapter. First, Anya & Damian's faces when starting the dance had me laughing out loud literally. Next, I'm really curious about Henderson's and Martha's implied prior relationship. Seems like they were ex-lovers. And finally... holy shit - I did not expect Anya to cough up her secret like that. Hopefully no one that believes her overheard her.
(Btw I wrote this myself on the chapter 95 vid too so it’s not copied but it’s the same) I am SCREAAMIING that one panel yall! ITHINK THE SHIP IS SAILINGGG . Also, the fact that Anya trusts Damian that much to reveal her identity , even when subconscious, means that she isn’t doing this entirely for the mission, also also, when Anya answered the ‘who does Damian love the most’ question WITHOUT using her mind reading ability, that’s what made Damian feel more comfortable around her. Hence why I think that Damian made THAT genuine smile to Anya. Oh and in Reddit, someone posted something saying when Damian made that smile, he looked just like hanako kun smiling to yashiro. Thats how mangakas make characters smile to who they really care about. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
I really liked this chapter, especially the development between Anya and Damien, the fact that Anya told her secret about her powers means that she has great trust in Damien, in fact at the beginning of the chapter/episode Anya was very afraid of telling his secret is the person who said it was damien, without thinking twice and without fear, in the next chapter we could see the choice of class and new companions, and since we are close to 100 we could see an unexpected twist.

Really splendid analysis :) It was really heartwarming when Anya states that Damian loves his dad and especially when Damian is honest to Anya about her family seeming to be nice.. But why did Anya just drop the truth that she can read minds just after being cautious during the Damian quiz by answering some questions wrong? What especially shocked me was how it was a direct line and not some thought Anya would have before realizing the negative consequences like we would always see. But guess it was a bit funny how she just fights with Damian instead of catching her mistake 😆 (as well as the overall comedy of Loid getting sweaty and nervous about the whole competition haha) .. but imagine if Loid was close or witnessed Anya stating she can read minds directly at Damian, unless he would throw it off as her being childish. Really great chapter overall!
That's the thing that's caught my attention as well. For a secret she's withheld from her parents for as long as she could out of fear of ostracization/abandonment, she did NOT backtrack at all when it came to Damian. She doubled down and got mad when he didn't accept her secret being real which indirectly invalidated her moment of vulnerability with him. This girl genuinely wanted to entrust the knowledge of her greatest liability and source of fear to this entitled dork with whom she's had both fights and touching moments. Future chapters can prove whether Anya's confidence and attempt to connect with Damian were reckless or not, and frankly, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little scared for her. Even if Damian rejects it, that seed of possibility has been planted and at some point he will have to confront the reality of Anya's telepathy and how much she knows about him behind his back. Will he hate her and think she's creepy as Anya fears anyone learning about her powers? Or will he feel relief knowing that he no longer has to keep up an act for the Desmond family's name and can truly be himself around Anya? It opens a whole knew direction and dynamic IMO and I'm interested to see what Endo will do.
