    Dennis Franz, Kim Delaney, and of course the stunningly beautiful, handsome Jimmy Smits will always be the legendary icons of this show for me.

    This episode is considered one of the greatest moments in television history...the acting, it's all so real. So good.

    All of these years later, this is so emotional to me. It was so hard to say goodbye to Bobby Simone. The writers and director of this episode were outstanding.

    This scene always makes me cry. It's kind of how I see moving to the other side might be like...what Bobby was going through in his own passing. What a great show it was.

    Good but very sad episode, I hated that Bobby was killed off, he was the best partner Sipowicz had, and none of the ones after filled the hole that Bobby left.

    • @materialgirl8707
      @materialgirl8707 8 лет назад +1

      +deraj nitram When Bobby died, this show died with him. Never watched again after this tragedy. Can't believe that it made it to 2005--only living on borrowed time.

    • @derajnitram1882
      @derajnitram1882 8 лет назад +2

      +materialgirl8707 It definitely wasn't the same without him, but I loved the show so I stuck with it to the end, I will say the show ended pretty well, but I can understand not wanting to watch after his death.

    • @xyPERSON
      @xyPERSON 8 лет назад +8

      +deraj nitram Yeah… I really didn't think the show was the same after Jimmy Smits' character Bobby Simone died. There was just something so special and unique about him. Even with Rick Shroeder's character Danny Sorenson and Mark Paul-Gosselear's character John Clarke, I just couldn't connect with them as strongly as I did with Simone(no offense to either of them).

    Couldn't bear to watch this show ever again when Bobby died. It was too painful and heart breaking not to see him not there anymore in the fall and to see those new sucker cast members try to take his place. I can't believe they let Mark Paul Gosselar try to fill Bobby's void!!!!! :( When Bobby died, this show died for me!!!!! I always bawl like a baby when I watch this scene or moment. So handsome, young, and such a beautiful man inside and out both Bobby Simone and Jimmy Smits. I haven't seen this scene in almost 18 years-I wish I hadn't because it brought all the damn sadness and heartbreak all over again.

    Reminds me of the day my mom died. They worked on her but she was going. The nurse said to me and dad and my brother, "Now is a good time to come in here and say your goodbye's" This brings it all back. Man it still makes me cry.

      Mryrhodesian this episode was just like reliving my husbands death at 36. Diane’s actions were partly me. I was worse. Watching Bobby die had me hysterical and to be honest I still watch the show with the fire stick. It still makes me cry and I literally feel nervous at those times. I do skip that part sometimes. Always was my favorite show.

      I know that what you went through is something most people go through, and I know it’s been five years, but given how irreplaceable a mother is, and when I try to imagine just how difficult my life would be if I lost mine, I want to offer my condolences for your loss.

    They do not make tv like they used to. NYPD Blue, ER...Mad Men was last of it, and it was small budget. Reality killed the tv series.

      Ted6976 was and still is. Ricky Schroeder was kind of a turn off but I stayed with it. I watch this show everyday starting episode 1 until the 12 th season. Can recite it. I just wish jimmy Smits was on longer. The handsome tall detective with charisma and very humble.

    "Pretty boid... pretty boid" has a permanent exhibit in my memory museum because of this episode. Been falling thru a RUclips rabbithole of NYPD Blue and it's shocking how many people Andy lost during this time in his "life", and that he was able to keep moving forward.

    I absolutely loved this show from beginning to the end. I loved it with David Caruso and was devastated when he left but Bobby slid in very well. I always come back to this scene and have a good solid cry. The best T.V. program ever.
    Can't knock all the new comer's because the script was so brilliant and I watched until the last episode.

    • @magnatone1960
      @magnatone1960 8 лет назад +1

      +usaalways The voice is Patsy speaking. Patsy was the retired fighter that was a role model for Bobby when he was young and introduced him to raising homing pigeons.
      "Patsy Ferrare (Brad
      Sullivan): The man who taught Bobby about pigeons, Patsy was a
      washed-up ex-fighter who, when we met him in season three's "Aging Bull,"
      was in the early stages of Alzheimer's. I never expected to see him again,
      but Milch inserted him beautifully into the death of Simone arc as Bobby's
      fantasy guide to the afterlife."

      +mcsquare77 That's YOUR opinion and I guess you can blame David Caruso for choosing to exit the show after its first season. By the way, that didn't help him at all because his career pretty much went in the dumps and stayed there for a long time.
