- Aboard a BONE STOCK demo 2005 #KX250, James Stewart, in 2004, hit the Loretta Lynn's course and showed the world - or actually just the people there - just exactly what was "Stewable" at that time, including the very legendary Finish Line Triple, a feat that has never been done again.
We were so robbed of getting to watch Stew race his entire career on 2-strokes. If 4-strokes never came around, without question Stew ends up with the most wins all time and probably has a perfect supercross season.
I agree with missing him race his career on a smoker but Ricky and Chad Reed was just as fast on the smokers too.
@@gageconner6414 absolutely, Stew, Reed and Carmichael were awesome to watch
Bubba was on another level. He Made everything look so easy , how much energy you save when you keep it flowing. Great to watch 👍
Wild that here we are 20 years later, and the only semi-higher-resolution MX/SX footage from the 90s to '07ish is from a non-network, non-broadcast, private endeavor -- yet everything from the pro races is a hodgepodge of murky, artifact-ridden VHS recordings converted to RUclips using a potato.
ya thats a good point what the hell is up with that.
Dude your so right
I like the part where James said, “It’s Stewing Time” and Stewarted all over the place! 🙏
Will always love 2-strokes and the style JS had!
Somehow Weege looks older here.
Right! He sounds WAY younger though that's for sure lol high pitched! (that's normal though people's voices get deeper over time)
Why is he wearing a Kawi shirt?
He got a hair transplant
@DANIMALLLLL for sure, you can see the bald spot in vid here
Plugs…and I don’t mean NGK
the 250f is bringing back some memories. that good ole carb sound, high idle. 250 2 smoke stole the show tho. super sick!
I’m so glad bubba stuck around after he retired.. there for awhile thought he was done with it all.. we love yah stew!! Shout out to vurbmoto I remember when this was the only platform that covered motocross really!! 👍
Didnt realize how long weege has been at it. True staple of the sport.
That track looks sick! I wish they would do the track like this again.
Holy smokes. How could anyone forget how badass this man was!
Back when MotoX was MotoX!! Jus the sound of the 2 strokes alone
He’s literally riding with Ivan on a 250f… did you even watch the video?
@@Griffin283we were all watching James
@@StandingWarrior and he wasn’t on the track alone…
On the 3 week Motocross break coming up I am going to rewatch this whole channel!
It's the best footage of James riding the KX250 2stroke.
🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I was watching the stream yesterday! I would love to see more Stewart and Alessi LL footage! Some of those shots I’ve never seen ! Thank you 🙏
One of the great rides to watch .
Crazy to think Bubba rode that 250 2t so hard that he was a threat to Ricky. Must mess with your mind being the champion on your factory 450 then all of the sudden you hear a 2 stroke buzzing on your tail lol
Ahhh the golden years....
Bubba one of the fastest and absolute best riders ever! Thanks for the show bubba
Sweet, his gear looks so good
Damn a year after I finished highschool seems so long ago had no idea about any of these guys back then
05 kawi intro, we were there on pdubs. Hill killed it that yr. And the schoolboy class was the best class to watch that yr
We uploaded the can't miss moto of 2005 a few weeks ago. You should check that out!
He had the concept of racing backwards. He thought go as fast as you can whether you can handle it or not. Crashed more than any other professional rider in history never learned how to ride correctly
Vurb is the best, it's impossible to find footage this high quality from that era
Hell ya I was there for this
Man these new 4 strokes fuck a track up
God that bike sounded so crisp.
It was so disappointing to never see James race again, every year I had hopes he'd form his own team and come back. Can't say I blame him, but I miss him. Supercross got a bit boring for awhile once we lost a few of the greatest....
cool footage
THE REAL GOAT
Weege needs to bring back the sideburns!
Bubba hitting that triple made Weege so scared he lost hair
😂😂😂
VurbMoto, do you happen to have any of the 80cc battles between Mike Alessi and Davi Millsaps? I remember watching footage back in the early 2000’s. It might have been Mini Warriors DVD. But I cannot find it. Love the old footage , thank you for uploading 🙌
Look at Weigandt lol.
No one rides like Bubba, and Weege has a hair transplant.
Weird seeing how hard pack this iteration of the track at the ranch is here lol
Was this prep weather induced?
Anyway….
Two smoke Stew will always be a vibe 🤘🏻
@@zakrusk5718 that's a track without new 4 strokes and paddle tires lol
Vintage bubba and weege, doesn't get much better.
Wild how much of a goon Tedesco looks like compared to JS.
1:03 weege looked like he was ready to kiss
Always Mean green in my eyes Yeah
JS 259 is the best ever
Jetting was on!!
I like big dirt motorcycle compared too a 250 of today the size of a 50 of yesterday you had something on your hand 😮ok
On a stock kx 250 at that
Can you see wy 4 strokes were hated back in the day?
I mean, if it's Stewable?
Is this the year that he was pointing at Allessi on the gate?
Yep, at the very end you can see him ride to the gate. Sadly we missed "the" moment, but there's a photo somewhere I believe.
I didn’t even notice that cuz the other videos popped up. Haha. Man I loved these days!
Did James race Alessi in amateurs? I thought Bubba was like 4 years older
@@DANIMALLLLL nah. This was a Kawasaki Demo ride in between motos at Loretta’s. But the hype around the two racing was insane and James was pointing at Allessi at one point.
@@MrPerry281 ahh thanks. I always wondered if they raced!
2:35 SHIII BRAAAAAP! 🤤
Look at james and weege
Was Weege a mechanic or something? i missed this whole era had kids to tend to.....
Nope, just starting his announcing career around this time!
I knew weedge had hair plugs😂. He denies it but this is the proof.
1:03 Weege lookin' like he hit a growth spurt, bout to get his driver's license lmao
And then RC happened)))
Looks like he got a run coming from off the track
Weege has more hair. Today. 😮.
Weege defiantly got plugs
last Year that Kawasaki built a real KX 250 not a fake Version like today!!
That kx250 2stroke looks bone stock
It was. They were showcasing the new 2005's at that race in 04'.
Weege grew his hair back 😜
That looked like a whatever triple
4 stroke sounds so lame compared to the 2 stoke hering them side by side !
And even in Italy (amore et motore) the 4-strokes make sure to close some old mx tracks!
They told us we ride 4-strokes to protect the environment.
What we get: closed tracks and spending more money racing.
Kawasaki, wake up!
Marty Smith far better rider GO HONDA !
