    I love that you actually show what things look like under an ASET scope. thank you!!

    Great educational video, and so pleasant voice and music. Thank you! The only thing that bothers me about the super ideal is that the distinct arrows, while beautiful in cut, make for a dark center in my opinion. I have one and notice this all the time.

    The thing is, if you know the dimensions of a super ideal cut diamond: crown/pavilion angles, depth% and table size you can pretty well guarantee how the diamond will perform.
    It's all geometry.

    • @betaomega04
      @betaomega04 Год назад

      Not really. You could have perfect angular geometry, perfect symmetry, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the physical facets are properly and optimally aligned. It's impossible to measure through a conventional GIA grading process; GIA Lab Reports don't even grade performance, which is what actually matters.

    Your videos are very informative!! Where can we get an ASET scope and can we use it on diamonds that are already mounted on a ring? I saw a handheld one on AGS' website and am thinking about taking it with me to jewellery shops

    I was going to say the one with less light return look better, than he put it on his hand and i could see how the other one is way better.

    Great video. Does this only show up when looking under fluorescent lighting or sun light? Is this why you would never want to buy a diamond on line?

      Actually I already found out. My question is, are Super Ideal Cuts price more expensive that normal cuts? As in is it already price adjusted? Do GIA certificates already indicate which ones are Super Ideal Cuts? I guess the real question is, if I do my homework and buy the ASET and IDEAL scope, will I be getting a much better diamond for the same price? Thanks

      It's the larger one. The smaller one, the angles for crown and pavilion is what causes the light leakage.
