Back in those days he probably didn’t make it as an accountant because of his race. 😢 he’s obviously quite intelligent and graduated with honors from his college and I personally can’t foresee any reason besides discrimination that he wouldn’t get a job somewhere.
The energy on this episode between these two great people warms my heart man. We’re blessed to have someone like Joe Rogan to put things like this on for us 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
No one ever said Ronnie was smart. Even Ronnie admits he doesn’t know anything about nutrition. So just ignore half the stuff he says he doesn’t know any better 😅
Back in the early 2000’s King Ronnie showed up as a guest bodybuilder in a competition happening in the Caribbeans. We were all impressed with the local talent until the king got up on stage and dwarfed everyone else. I kid you not, he looked at least 3 times bigger than the rest. There was just a shocking silence in the crowd. Everyone just stopped clapping and making noise. It felt like seeing an alien on stage.
Total humble guy. We know in the mid 80s, in absence of diversity requirements, a southern big black guy from an HBCU, had little to no chances of getting an accounting job but made no mention of race. Gets lemons and finds a way to make lemonade. Doesn’t make it ok, but his grit to ignore societies ills and find providence for himself is heartwarming.

Ronnie is the goat , backstage in the pump up room all the bodybuilders knew it was over when they saw Ronnie before the show even started . I m glad to see him healthy.
Big Ronnie still lives in Arlington, TX! Same city where he was a cop for years. When I was 19, me and some friends were pounding beers in front of this dance hall called Cowboys. Next thing we know there’s a massive, huge, black cop with a Mike Tyson voice ask “what you kids drinking?”. Me and my buddies just stood there staring at him with our beers still in hand... this was in 2005, during his prime. We didn’t say a word.. he made us pour out our beers and followed us to a friends apt down the road. Something me and my friends still talk about, this day. One of the most nice, genuine person I have ever met.

Powerlifting deals with weight and he STARTED with powerlifting in his youth, he said so in the first 2 minutes. Get good scrub

if he did he would be dead humans can't live under 3%
Lot of pills and hard work. Steroids, hgh, Creatine, fat burning pills,
i hopped thaat one day ill be half of this guy size...i cant belive that im bigger that Mr Olympia of my childhood
Most bodybuilders you see ripped on stage aren't even below 6%. Lying about how low you are/used to get is basically the norm in the industry now, it has completely modified the vision that people have of fat to the point that many believe 17% is overweight.
You would literally have almost no brain mass at that point. The tests have a 5% fluctuation though so he probably got that from a misreading

Damn. Humble dude. Never had a big head about being famous. Just a dude striving to survive. Going with the flow of life. Awesome.
I say “LIGHT WEIGHT” to hype myself up for lifting light weight.
Nothing like showing those light objects who's boss!
Right On!

Same!! LIGHT WEIGHT!!
I’ve always thought Ronnie was the most humble champion I’ve ever seen , what a great dude!
He was. A lovely guy!
Not to mention he can maintain such a pleasant disposition while being in constant pain. That's not easy. Awesome human being.
Ronnie seems like such a light-hearted, pleasant, honest, and humble guy. It was great to listen to him talk.
I love Ronnie Coleman. A gentle giant, i could listen to him for a long time.
He is. A true gentleman.
What a humble man in Coleman, and Rogan shines in his interview style here from years of work interviewing and in an area he is comfortable with (smarlty grinding to achieve results...physically and mentally). He let's Coleman talk and matches tempo, effortlessly directing the conversation naturally. I am really proud of what these two mean achieved in life, and happy to be alive in a time when I can watch this on a magic hand held light emitting world knowledge device.
Haha you said it man!
I think he is one of the most extraordinary human beings on the planet. Hes so humble even after all the work he put in.
He seems like a humble dude and also a freakin legend at the same time.
Exactly 💪🏻

Tell Douchette to even win ONE world title and then he can talk. Otherwise he's just a loser with short man syndrome who also cycles a ton of juice but looks nowhere near the best.
I'm pretty sure even Greg has respect for the GOAT.
Perhaps his 0.33% body fat claim shows why he was never hired on as an accountant.
You deserve more likes 😂😂😂😂
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 This is a fantastic comment!
He didn't say .33%. He said .33, which would be 33%. I think he meant to say was .033 which would be 3.3%.

Ronnie probably meant 3.3% bodyfat which is very low but doable (considering he ate clen as a side).
3.3% was his highest.
I read that 0.5% was the average amount of fat bodybuilders have on competition day. It’s the fat behind their eyeballs or something. They only keep that level for the few hours, for the show.

The energy on this episode between these two great people warms my heart man. We’re blessed to have someone like Joe Rogan to put things like this on for us 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Not too sure about the bf % there but he’s still a legend anyway 🏆
yeah haha, I mean simple maths proves him wrong. 330 at 3% and then 290 at 0.33% doesn’t add up😂
I know its BS. He'd be dead at .33%. But hes a legend so he gets an excuse.
His Nutritionist probably lied to him just to make him stop from killing himself!
No one ever said Ronnie was smart. Even Ronnie admits he doesn’t know anything about nutrition. So just ignore half the stuff he says he doesn’t know any better 😅
Definitely wrong. You can tell Joe doesn't believe him, but he didn't want to put him on the spot. He even gave him a moment to correct himself.
13:25-14:50 onward was a good life lesson in terms of the practicality of degrees, jobs, and your own personal situation.

Ronnie is a legend! Got to meet him in 2003 at a small local bodybuilding event. Awesome guy.
I met Ronnie at a police/ swat competition in Arizona when I was younger. He was fucking huge and so many guys where asking how to get that big, he would just say lift heavy. He flexed his arms next to my head as a size comparison and jeez is arms where swoll. He was awesome to talk too.
The Judges probably saved his life by encouraging him to get smaller. His heart probably would have given out.
Bs his health was always good
@4 Scoops epitome of what health, he uses crutches to walk you moron...
We should be thankful to all those firms who never hired Ronnie as an accountant. If he would have gotten that position we probably would have never heard about him, one of the greatest, most inspiring athletes we've seen. There's a lesson there. Funny how life works out sometimes.
Great point!
