The sad condition Ronnie is in today could have been prevented had he properly recovered from his surgeries. The kinds of surgeries he had requires a complete change in training as well as a lot of time to heal and recover. I cannot say I respect that kind of disregard for one's health.

Working out with heavy weights wasn’t the issue. He suffered a back injury while playing high school football and his Mother had bad hips. It was bad luck and the evidence of that is him being the only one suffering like that while thousands of other guys lift heavy and retire just fine. I watch my coach Andrew “Bull” Stewart lift 800+ for 20+ years and he’s fine at 65 years old now.
