- The Muk Yan Jong (Chong) also commonly referred to as the Wooden Dummy form. This version is based on the 116 movements from the book by Ip Chun and Leung Ting both grandmasters from Wing Chun and Wing Tsun. The form is divided into 8 sections which all cover different solutions to specific objectives in the fighting system.

My Si-hing once told me "You can not practice with the wooden dummy as long as you are a man of wood". Honesly I just see two wooden men holding each other. Continue pratice, you can be and do much better than this!

Which lineage of Chun is this form considered?....My Sifu's Sifu was non other than Sum Nung, yet the form he taught me on the Jong is exactly as you do here.....for the most part. My Sifu's son used to brag that His father taught him the Yuen Kay San Stlye, which is considered the best....combined with Cheung Bo Lineage. Sum Nung was revered as The Grandaddy of all Win Chun.(by the way I put my Sifu's son on the ground quickly and easily right after he bragged how he got the better goods than I did....apparently it's not the goods that determines how well you can handle yourself.)

yes this guy is bad. He should not be releasing videos. But the lineage is not relevant - you can have bad students in any lineage.
If you really cared, you would have seen it from the description anyhow. You just wanted to throw a number of chinese names in here, and hope we would be impressed.
This doesnt look like the leung ting wooden dummy I was shown exactly changes at the end no tan sau with the kick before scraping kick didn’t keep the wu sau up when doing those last movements but then again maybe its been modified
Very impressive very nice I'm glad I watched it I wish I could have been doing this when I was at my karate class that could have helped what waterpark is one of those or bought one of those wooden training dummies Groupon karate or Kung-Fu or any other martial arts 🥋💪😉👍🥋

Lower arm should be navel height when in stance.

i dont like that wing tsun is always teached as a big secret with all forms only for insiders ...i think its for all people and so i am a big fan of your channel!!
People misunderstand the forms and exercises of wing tsun, thats why it does not worth it to avoid experienced masters who did fight as well in their young ages and then dedicate their lives to teach...Maybe if most of them agree it can mean something.
There is not much respect for the practitioner who preforms this wooden dummy form, with an attitude like that you better not train. If you train you do that to make yourself better and it is not about feeling better then another what is disrespectful.

Might consider this is an instructional video where you are supposed to be able to see the different moves. Having seen him practice in the flesh I can tell you he is fluid and fast.
SERIOUSLY? Sorry but working on wooden dummy it means use the centerline...move qith the feet.... everything about wing chun that u are not using or u simply don't know i don't know... but this is not a wooden dummy form ... not correct XD

Don't generalize, not everyone from Leung Ting lineage is bad, not everyone from yours is good
bitching between different schools is as old as different schools (lineages) - especially in hongkong.

Emin Boztepe , Martin Dragos and so many more are from the "leung ting crap" line - and they deliever high class wing chun. I guess you still have to train hard if you want to be good :-)
pro tip: leave youtube, and go visit a kwoon from inside. Ask your sifu what is the meaning of respect. Maybe he knows, and just has forgotten to teach you.
