    A ketogenic diet is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that can lead to the production of ketones in the body, which is known as nutritional ketosis. This is a normal and healthy metabolic state that can occur in response to carbohydrate restriction and is not harmful.
    Ketogenic diet does not cause ketoacidosis, which is a serious condition typically seen in people with diabetes, particularly type 1 diabetes. Ketoacidosis occurs when the body is not getting enough insulin and produces high levels of ketones as a result. High levels of ketones can lead to a metabolic imbalance and an acidic environment in the body, which can be dangerous.
    It is important to note that a ketogenic diet may not be suitable for everyone and should be followed under medical supervision especially for people with diabetes, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and individuals with a history of disordered eating. People with diabetes, especially type 1, should be extra cautious and should avoid ketogenic diet without medical supervision.
    Doctor need to specify that this mainly occurs in type 1 diabetes not mostly with type 2.
    Intermittent fasting can produce more ketones than keto diet

    Ketogenic diet useful to loose weight for dose people having bmi above 25+. Persons with kidney,liver,heart,problems and below 23 bmi diabetic patients it not advisable. It's only for short term use like 2 or 3 weeks.

    This guy does not have any knowledge on keto diet. Humans lived on animal fat/protien with out Carbs for about 2.5 Million years.
