Phil was born April of 1946 His wife was born dec 1950. There was never a time when they were together when she was 16 and he 18. They are consistent about hiding the fact that he was 18 and she was 14 when he impregnated her. In other words statutory rape. Fortunately for Phil in the good ol “Christian” confederate states statutory rape is legal if the rapist ends up marrying the victim. Must be a lot of rape goin on in the south if they had to make a special loophole for rapists like phil to stay out of jail and not be a registered juvenile sex offender. They must really want to keep it a secret if he’s been telling the lie for over 50 years.
I'm a JESUS CHRIST guy. I'm a Phil Robertson guy. In the Bible, the Apostle Paul tells us how we should have GODly role models here on Earth. Phil Robertson is definitely one of mine.
Preach on. Enjoyed that. Iron sharpens iron. I know some are offended by what Phil says regarding sin and the bible. God's law is good in that it causes us to realize our need for a savior. The law is dropped down to show us our faults. The law is like a mirror, it doesn't make you ugly it just shows you that you are.
This pretty much sums up Phil Robertson. “The Baby Boomers: whiny, narcissistic, self-indulgent people with a simple philosophy: “Gimme that! It’s mine!” These people were given everything, everything was handed to them, and they took it all, sold it all; sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll, and they stayed loaded for twenty years and had a free ride. But now they’re staring down the barrel of middle-age burnout, and they don’t like it. They don’t like it, so they’ve become self-righteous, and they wanna make things hard for young people. They tell em abstain from sex, say no to drugs. As for rock ‘n’ roll, they sold that for television commercials a long time ago so they can buy pasta machines and StairMasters" -George Carlin
Only thing I cant stand to hear from the Robertsons is there preaching about baptismal regeneration and lordship salvation. It is heresy. Simple faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ is all that is required for salvation.
Faith alone cannot save though, nobody in the bible was saved by simply having faith. They were saved by acting on that faith and being baptized. Haven't you read Mark 16:16? Jesus himself says all those who believe AND are baptized will be saved. Baptism is necessary for salvation.
usmcbess Salvation is by the grace of God and it is through faith in God that He saves you but it is also required of believers to act on that faith, to follow all the commandments of God. Eph. 4:5 says there is One Lord, one faith, and one baptism. Jesus says in Matt. 28:19 to his disciples to baptize people in the name the Father, Son, and Holy Spririt, and again says in Mark 16:16 that people who believe and are baptized will be saved. If it was heresy or unnecessary for salvation, why would Jesus command it, or in Acts 22:16 Ananias tell Paul "Why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord." I know that you must believe in God and that we are saved through Jesus Christ, but you must be baptized to have your sins washed away.
It's not the baptism that saves it's the blood of Jesus, [NKJV] Luke 41-43 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” -there was no baptism just repentance and faith.
Livn G. Ford but when you think about it, Jesus hadn't died yet when that happened, so it would've been impossible for the thief on the cross to be buried and raised in baptism. Every person that has been saved after Jesus' death has been saved through baptism. Acts 2:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 8:36-38 are some examples
The truth? You can't handle the truth, Or he would understand where his religion came from. I know several people that refuse to do research on neighboring religions in fear it may make too much sense that they are probably wrong about there beliefs.
Some of the wisest words I've ever heard. Listened to this many times and it still inspires me to do better.
You're awesome Phil ..a man who truly sticks to his convictions.
Doyle Frankenstein What's awesome about that? Pol Pot and Stalin also stuck to their convictions...
