@Mephiast Itallians are pretty good in overall... they have a great discipline and thats what makes them really good on live technique... But I think thats what makes a vocalist a GOOD vocalist... everyone sings everything in studio... even brithney spears sings in studio... Now try to hit a D5 on belting voice like James LaBrie Used to do (Back in 92) in a live show... pretty RARE...
well, lets not be to harsh bout the vocals! He could be sick, it could be the 13th concert in a row? I´m a singer to and in studio you can if it didnt sound good first time do it again and even take a short rest to hit the note! Live you cant do it again, and you cant tell the audiance that you are tired and wanna take a rest even if you have a flue and fever ha ha... Some nights are good some is less good thats how it works especially when you sing in a hard/tuff style like metal...
I agree. It just sounds like he's fatigued to me, which is part of being human. Can't be belting all those highs perfectly 100% of the time. He still sounds really good and singing in tune.
Dunno if they screwed up with this mix, but the vocals got no power live... specially on that "REVIVE" note, thats a C5, it should be brilliant, fat and high... and he couldnt make it... and before the solo he even scapes the note.. If you really pay attention you will see that the backing vocals are louder than he... and sounds better too...
Vocals were a bit harsh in this one, but I've heard them live and he sounds good. I love metal bands that have singers that can hit high notes. bands where the vocalist has super deep, cookie monster vocals sound terrible to me.
+jr4chargers i prefer more versatile singers like jorn lande or russell allen. im kind of bored with the traditional powermetal singers they want to sound like michael kiske or tobias sammet
Versatile Singers are awesome, but I'm talking about a lot of the death metal vocalist, where they have super deep voices, but that's pretty much it. Jorn Lande is pretty good, btw!

I love how the guitarist is singing the higher notes during the chorus.

Oh boy, this song is REALLY hard to sing live, to keep the high notes with drive and mix voice is a challenge. Triple the difficult live..
American tour??? (America is not only the US, I mean the entire continent) greetings from Mexico guys!!!!
