The turtles face a new challenge when Shredder escapes from custody and joins forces with Baxter Stockman, a mad scientist who plans to use a serum to take over the world. Along for the ride are Bebop and Rocksteady, two dimwitted henchmen who provide plenty of muscle. Luckily, the turtles have their own allies in April O'Neil, Vernon Fenwick and Casey Jones, a hockey-masked vigilante. As the pizza-loving heroes prepare for battle, the notorious Krang also emerges to pose an even greater threat.

I might be in the minority here, but this is my favorite TMNT movie.

Please react to TMNT 2007, it's the most overlooked of the movies and it was a theatrical release.
I like how this sequel is closer to the 1987 cartoon, and introduces more characters from the original cartoon into this movie.
A pretty good follow up to the first, and even better, in my opinion. Bebop and Rocksteady were a lot of fun and the Kraang are one of my favorite villain factions.
That’s why I don’t understand why this did so poorly at the box office, which in turn caused them to scrap the third film.
Yeah the script needed a little more polishing, but this had many more source material characters, though I will admit bringing back Shredder was kind of pointless. He doesn’t really do much and his defeat was anticlimactic
I honestly liked this movie, I don’t understand why people give it so much hate.
It might be the CGI but I’m not complaining
I just love they got Beebop and Rocksteady for us finally and captured them well (not enough of them though) and even Krang too. Something the originals didn't give us. Not as bad as people make it out to be.

In the 2012 cartoon, Mikey actually tried to mimic the elevator scene, but Raphael just punched him instead of everyone joining him.
I remember watching the trailers and TV spots for the sequel. I know everyone probably hates this movie, but I say there’s a lot to appreciate. I like how they put in other characters from the 1987 cartoon, like Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady, Krang, they even brought back the 1987 theme song for the end credits. Even though not everyone’s a fan of it, this movie is definitely a nostalgic trip.
I actually really like this movie, more than the first one. The only thing that disappoints me is the lack of focus on the Shredder and Krang (except for the final battle, of course). I'm also not a big fan of how they changed Casey, and the Vernon stuff could be reduced as well. But the rest is just excellent.

Part of me wonders if it would’ve been better had they just kept him absent from this film

Sheamus and Uncle Ruckus as Bebop and Rocksteady was great in this movie. Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman wasn't a bad choice either. His laugh is hilarious.

15:52 Fun fact bebop and rocksteady are also original characters from the cartoon but their origin was completely different.
If that 90s tmnt sequel was your first exposure of humans/animals turning into mutants, yeah that didn’t really originate from the second movie in 1990s. That actually happened first in the second episode of the tmnt 1987 series involving these same characters, Bebop and Rocksteady. Originally they were the ones who were supposed to be in the second movie in the 90s but they got replaced by two other characters. Bebop was turned into a warthog and Rocksteady was turned into a rhino.
10:28 fun fact Krang is based on a character first introduced in the original cartoon who is design was inspired by the Utroms from the original comics the cartoon was loosely based on

The Music was composed by Steve Jablonsky he did the score for all michael bay transformers movies. he did a great score for this one too
In one of the cartoons Krang was Shredder I immediately thought the 3rd one would pull that lol sucks they never made it cause I really loved these movies.
There was a third planned, but unfortunately because this film performed poorly at the box office they cancelled any more plans for another film
10:59 also his war machine the Technodrome is also a original creation from the cartoon The main differences it was much smaller in the cartoon, road wheel and was also the shredders/Krang’s base (whose name was spelt Kraang in the cartoon)

If there's any vehicle from any series I love, it would be from the TMNT - it's multi-purpose, handmade, and shoots manhole covers. It looks ridiculous if you looked at the 1987 iteration of the van, appropriately named "Party Wagon", but the 2016 movie made that ridiculousness cool. No one would ever think to nick manhole covers and use them as ammunition but guess what, these four turtles did it

I think you're missing a Ninja Turtles film: It's called "TMNT" (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and is from 2007. It's an animated film that is very underrated and also one of my favorites.
4:07 anybody recognize that Baxter stockman is played by Tyler Perry the one who made all the Madea films
i have this 1 as well Tim, it was also good at least somewhat. i saw the krang betraying shredder thing coming a mile away tho & bebop & rocksteady weren't all that
One thing cool about this movie is theu finaly gave us Bebop and Rocksteady
Kevin Eastman who created the Ninja Turtles was the pizza delivery guy that was waiting on the corner for them to grab the pizza. I believe they even call him Kevin. 15:04 Bebop & Rocksteady are from the comics and the original cartoon series.
The villain are very amazing.
Hopefully you do get a chance to see the 2007 movie that was easily the best
Dave Green had a lot more passion directing this movie than Jonathan Liebesman, who was just doing what he was paid to do, nothing more

Because a lot of people saw the first one and didn't liked, so they assumed the sequel would be just as bad, and so they didn't wanted to waste their time watching it like they did with the first one, which was a real shame since this one was a lot better than the first one
@@LeonardoKlotz That is unfortunate, ideally speaking if the sequel to a film is better it should be more successful.
Using the dislike of a previous film as a reason not to see the next installment isn’t a good excuse IMO

This movie is really fun. I love that Bebop are Rocksteady finally made their movie debut in it. They were going to be in the second movie, but there were some sort of issues (I don’t exactly what it was), so they created Tokka and Rahzar for that movie instead.
I like ninja turtles movies and so funny moments 😂❤ movies

Unfortunately, the disappointing box office for OOTS killed any chance of a third film happening.
Sadly, despite feeling a lot like the classic turtles at times and introducing the classic characters, the script still felt like it needed a bit more polishing. And bringing back Shredder felt very pointless as he didn’t even really have much to do. His defeat was also quite anticlimactic.

This is surprisingly good film as Moichael Bay is first and foremost action director who places action, CGI and explosions first, story and characters usually suffer (the attrocious Transfeormers: First Knight is example of that) but You get Krang, Bebop, Rockstead from the original cartoons. I can forgive alot. They were also pretty well done. I just hink Casey was quite poorly written. Stephen Amell can bear hero's manstle or vigilante's for that matter. His character was just poorly written I feel. Still very enjoyable film

Oooh #PowerRangerd2017 would be lit! That movie is way too underated for what it was trying to accomplish as far as story and cahracter development
It wasn’t necessarily a bad film but I can see why it did so poorly at the box office. It took far too long for them to suit up, and the action was lacking. The tones also felt disjointed at times.
There were plans for sequels but unfortunately because it did badly at the box office and lost the studio money, they cancelled those plans.
Which makes the first film harder to rewatch, as they clearly were setting up a franchise but now it’ll never come.
@ryanblanche1726 Nah it was a story focused on team building, character and getting control of their new powers. The villain was an actual threat, the stakes felt serious, the acting was awesome as well as the music. As a die hard power rangers kid it was everything I wanted to a T

That was a major criticism of the film
18:31 Well bebop and rocksteady’s mutation is different than their mutation with their mutation being like advanced steroids with bebop and rocksteady’s mutation giving them the genes of their animal ancestors however in the original cartoon they both got mutated by the same substance with a substance mutating them into the last things they touched, West bebop and rocksteady turning into a warthog in right now due to the shredder having them touch that and the turtles becoming humanoid since their master started out as a human before mutating into a rat in the cartoon.
