What it does is increase the velocity of the air entering the throttle body. If you have a adequate Air Filter with a funnel getting cold fresh air from a front Splitter, yes, it does give a little more power. Not much, but noticeable power increase. It depends how you install it and what you use to help it reach its goal.

Its like having a neibour next door driving tundra with trying all little things you dont have time for.without guessing.
    Thanks man
This little throttle thing didnt give me rest, because it says it gives you that missing throttle response before 2000-2500 revolutions on tundras.
I drive it every day,i feel that every time
Stupid ads almost convinced me buying it.
Dude you saving my time and $.
    Thanks again.😊

Did you actually Dyno test it before making this video? Dyno test it and see if it backs up your claim.

IT's funny how people say open air intake does nothing, but a drop in filter will be an improvement. Boring out your throttle body is an improvement, but not a spacer. Other than at standing traffic idle, these will help prevent heat soak, at the minimum. Worse case is no peak HP gains, but you will maintain HP under full throttle. Dyno is for show, time trials is for go.

Well within the margin of error (for an eight cylinder Tundra). Statistically insignificant.

Thank u 4 ur honesty i loved it, and u r right works they work with carburetors because they help the air and fuel stay together. with throttle body injection all that goes through the spacer is air

If the air intake system is a straw. You just made the straw longer. The fins on the throddle body obstruct air flow and make it more turbulent.
I would predict this would decrease overall performance.
Want to increase air flow. Reduce the length of the air intake tube & increase diameter.

Used one to make a custom fogger plate for my Nitrous system LOL. I didn't like the idea of Drilling permanent holes in my new intake manifold and nobody made a fogger plate for my Tundra at the time.

I just wondering what happens when You give as much air the engine needs without restriction ?Is the cpu will give more fuel or runs leaner and more efficient?

  • @kennethlittleton8549

5.7s have ACIS Acoustically Controlled Induction System that controls the airflow into the intake already at different RPMS so you're wasting money with a spacer

Giant waste of money on basically anything even remotely new. Supposedly they help on vehicles with throttle body injection but that hasn't been used in decades.

Thanks for the video! I have a 2014 Tundra, added an S&B intake and a cat back turn down exhaust, but haven't installed the TBS, but I want to try it out to see if there are any gains to be found. I'll get back to update on the sound and gains. If you know about the noise my intake and exhaust make I doubt I'll hear much of anything. I've added a throttle commander as well, which is also a loved or hated item. That instant Go, off the line is ridiculous when paired with intake and exhaust noise.. lol too fun..

Its most likely the throttle body gasket. I changed mine out from the stock honey comb gasket, to the hollow option. Genuine toyota part. Contact sales@sparksparts.com to inquire about the “hollow (non honey comb) throttle body gasket. Took care of my whistle. Use promo code TundraDude34 and save 5%

Put throttle body spacer on and got 8' pounds of torque at the wheel and only one horsepower, When you add it with other stuff in the grand scheme of things 8' pounds of target the wheels pretty good

  • @stevenp3176
    @stevenp3176 5 лет назад

Wrong that is not how an spacer works on a intake track. Read how carb spacers work. You will quickly see why there is zero point of this on FI. The fact they don’t work has nothing to do with the engine management.

  • @alfredocalpito9439

I think they are worthed. It does increase a little in low end torque, and you can use it for nitrous or water methanol for extra power
    increase...

The volant throttle body spacer is not effective I started with a Airaid and wanted to try the other design the Air Aid is the only one I noticed a difference in mileage and low-end torque you do lose high-end horsepower at wide open throttle typically one to two miles to the gallon better fuel mileage

so you need to get the trd radator cap and trd oil cap I got mine today really nice parts. install tip put the trd sticker on after you put the cap on the truck. F me it tighten up upside-down and I needed to get another for my OCD. you know how it is.🤔

Zlatko Porobic did u unplug your batterie for 15-20 min after intake install. If you didnt then you wasted your money. The ecu in the tundra has to be disconnected from 🔋 for 15-20 min to reset. That is the only reason you didnt see any gains. When you unplug the 🔋 it relearns the mafs settings giving you more power tq and better fuel economy

    • @zlaninomma6986
