    I think we all are forgetting something very important, Colorado for the last 2 years have not had a run game if I had to break it down I would say they are 90-10 pass/run and that's being generous to say the least. Now think about that for a second, teams are already anticipating its gonna be a pass heavy game which means more often or not they are gonna cheat on majority of the time. Yet Shedeur still put up the numbers he did, another point I'd like to add is that I rarely got to see sheduer do a full fluid motion most of the season so I think in the NFL with a better line he will be able to get full motion into his throws.

    Shedeur is a first round pick now you can argue where in the first. He has great accuracy, poise and, he is deadly when he is on time which is evident in two minute situation. Watch him in go ahead situations, he is great. The issue is when he tries to play outside of himself. Shedeur for two seasons has had to be Superman. He has had no running game and, a shaky line at best and, still produced. I think he would actually be great if he had some resemblance of a running game. Also the scheme does him no favors. It’s not a lot of in breaking routes, not a lot of rub routes, angle routes so, it makes some of his weaknesses even more glaring. Which is why I think he will be a better pro than college player. If he was in a timing offense I believe he would be deadly. At Colorado Shedeur hasn’t been able to play his natural game because so much is on his shoulders so, he forces the issue a lot. I don’t think he will play like that at the next level nor will he have to. To me his comp right now is Teddy Bridgewater but, with a better arm and, a more sturdy frame, his mid is Tua Tagovailoa if he gets better pocket presence and, his ceiling is Matt Ryan

      I like what your comp. I was thinking a healthy and more accurate Michael Penix but I can agree with Bridgewater. I like Shadeur and felt the offensive line and lack of running game did not help him as a college Qb. If he doesn't go to the Browns, he will be fine.

    • @wil404
      @wil404 24 дня назад +1

      I just see too many throws that will be picks at the NFL because of their low velocity. He's a great decision maker, and really accurate, but DBs are gonna have a lot more time to disrupt his passes than you'd like from a 1st round prospect. That, along with holding on to the ball, makes me think he'll need to sit while he puts on some weight for durability and ball speed.

    • @nicholasbraxton1342
      @nicholasbraxton1342 24 дня назад +2

      @@wil404 I don’t think so because I don’t think he will have to play the same way in the pros. Also when his feet are set and, his base is right he has enough zip. The problem is when he plays outside of himself. At Colorado he was asked to do so much. He was not allowed to play his natural game. He is at his best in the short to intermediate areas. I think he will be really good once he gets used to playing on time more

    • @wil404
      @wil404 22 дня назад

      @nicholasbraxton1342 All of the teams QB needy at the top of the draft have poor o-lines, and this is an especially poor o-line class. Also, he's had the same head coach since hs so I guess I just don't assume he'll adapt well to a new offense/coach. He may thrive, but he just hasn't proven it yet. I think he'd be better off going to a team with a veteran QB and sitting for a bit.

  • @wil404
    @wil404 24 дня назад +5

    His arm strength makes me nervous. I see him make a lot of NFL interceptable throws in the intermediate to short because his ball stays in the air too long. I wish he could throw more heat. That, along with the sacks and low athleticism, I think makes him a 2nd rounder. I don't think he'll work in the NFL right away. He needs more physical development.

      I don’t agree with this for a multitude of reasons. I have watched all of Shedeur’s film since Jackson State to Colorado and, I don’t see that. I will start off saying his physical traits don’t wow and, he definitely has things to work on like his pocket manipulation/ presence and, better weight distribution on his deep balls but, I believe he is good enough to stabilize any franchise. He reminds me a lot of Teddy Bridgewater coming out of Louisville except he has a bigger arm, a more sturdy frame and, Teddy had better footwork at this stage. Their skillset, measurables and, play style are very similar. Some of Shedeur’s weaknesses were more glaring because what was asked of him at Colorado especially. They didn’t play to his skillset the way they should have in my opinion. Besides bubbles and, hitches most of their routes were long developing routes. It wasn’t many in breaking routes, drags, or even angle routes in front of his face. That forced him at times to improvise more than he should have had to. Shedeur also has never had a running game of any sort. To me he is at his best when he is methodical and, efficient. It was a lot of pressure on the passing game to carry the offense. I do want to see him speed up his clock. A lot of times he held on to the ball forever rather than throwing it away. I want to see him hit his last step and let it go more often. I want to see him step into his deep balls more which will help him have more consistency on those throws. He has enough arm strength to make them which is evident when you go back and, watch some of his 2023 tape ex TCU, Nebraska, USC, Arizona. I think he is stable. He doesn’t make a lot of bad decisions besides the sacks he takes, he doesn’t turn it over and, he is very poise which is evident when you look at his 11 go ahead drives at Colorado. I think in a timing/ west coast offense he could really flourish

    I don't think Shedeur is very good. Average arm strength, panic throws or takes sacks, seems like he has struggled with those two his entire career. He better learn audibles to make up for that arm strength. To me he is a second to third rounder but of course Deion will use PR tactics to help him land in the 1st round. Shilo is also a third round or later type of player, possibly even undrafted, but of course, his dad will be putting on a show for the public for his boys bc he can. All in all, the league will expose the sanders overmarketed skillset.

    • @wil404
      @wil404 24 дня назад

      @heywardreed5921 Shedeur has no heat on his throws. NFL DBs are way faster and will pick him off on sideline out routes and over the middle. He holds onto the ball way too long, has cinderblocks for feet, and is undersized. He's had the same head coach since high school, his dad, so we don't know how he'll fare when that consistency in his environment is gone. Cam Ward has played for 3 different college teams. He's elevated every program he's gone to. He's got a special arm. He's a more creative playmaker. He's more mobile. He's bigger. He makes some bad decisions and has some technical flaws, but he hasn't had the access to a legit QB coach for most of his career and has shown improvement in the pocket at Miami. Right now, Ward is a better NFL prospect.

      Joe Flacco, Carson Wentz, Josh Allen, just to name a few, all played for schools we've never seen play before and were successful top picks. Meanwhile no Alabama QB has been successful. Competition only means so much in football because the better the competition, the better teammates you play with, hence any Bama has no successful QBs

    • @wil404
      @wil404 24 дня назад

      His ball speed is slow, his running speed is slow, he's undersized, he holds on to the ball too long, and his dad has been his head coach since high school. All of these negatives are far more concerning than his level of competition. Mahomes played at Texas Tech, Lamar played at Louisville, and Josh Allen played at Wyoming.
