Thank you t.b 🤠 giggles 🤭 hopefully when she recovers I can start to shape her into a more glamorous style 🤩 thanks for the feedback & have a glorious week 🌱 Chip
Hi Sue, thank you so much so very kind of you to say, happy you enjoyed, really sorry again for the late response, I must do better 🤠 happy gardening 🌱 Chip
Thank you Angelakilrose , glad you’re liking the garden design 🤠 it’s still got a way to go but it’s progressing nicely , have a lovely day & all the best 🌱 Chip
This video was perfection. You had a good mix of talking and zen vibes with a theatrical ending of classical music. Your Miss Japonica is gorgeous. I think she looks fabulous in her new home. Such a good idea to place her there as to screen your neighbors yard. The mossy rocks were a brilliant dash of finesse. When you mentioned your next phase of adding a reflecting pond I said YES! Brilliant idea. Looking forward to the next stage. Toodles!
Thank you Maria 🤠 happy you enjoyed the mix of Zen & information together , all thanks to the feedback so thank you for yours & your continued support of the channel it’s very much appreciated, Hopefully the work on the pond will start soon but it’s all down to the weather now as suddenly we are in autumn, .. were has the time gone 😂 Have yourself a wonderful week, all the best 🌱 Chip
Awww so nice , Your very welcome Gypsyholler & thanks you for your continued support of the Chanel it means so much 🤠 have a wonderful week & all the best 🌱 Chip
Wow. Only just discovered you Chip! Roll on spring. I've had a bit of a flat period but now I'm inspired and reinvigorated to get on with my own garden. Many thanks for the inspiration 🌸
Hi Gord & thank you , I just wished I would of had some large bamboo poll’s to hand as I think this same design done in thick bamboo would have had more impact , but it will do the job & I knowing me may change it at some point 😂 have a great week & all the best 🌱 Chip
If you can light the tree from the ground up it will have an enormous impact at night with the pond. I have a swimming pool and at night the two multi trunk maples I planted above it reflect in the black mirror surface, it's very peaceful. Thank you for the garden update, it's fun to watch.
Hi Jlanvers 🤠 sounds like a lovely idea , I did think of maybe under lighting the three home oaks at some point so I may do miss Japonica also 👍🏼 thank you for your feedback & ideas very much appreciated, have yourself a wonderful week & all the best 🌱 Chip
What a magnificent centerpiece! If you could hear me being the couch gardener while you placing those rocks😂 No not there, the bigger one😂 But thankfully you knew best! It’s perfection ❤
I have to say ! Gipsy boy is often more of a burden then a help but hat’s off for his enthusiasm & effort 😁😂 thank you for words of encouragement Tricia 🤠 I really do appreciate, have yourself a glorious week , hugs 🌱 Chip
Hi Chip! It's been awhile but I am really enjoying the transformation you're doing in your new property. Love the formal layout! Great idea with the mossy stones, it made it look like the Japonica had been there for years. Can't wait for the pond project. Have a great weekend! - Evita😊
Hi Evita 🤠 thank you for your lovely message & so glad your enjoying the new garden project 🌳🌳🌳 it’s got a long way to go still but I’m very happy with how it’s looking so far , now Autumn has arrived I’m not sure how much more I will be able to get done this year , I guess it’s all done to the weather from this point lol 😂 hope your having a wonderful time in the garden, all the best 🌱 Chip
@ChipsGreenWorld Yes, Autumn 🍂 is around the corner and I'm not finished with everything I'd like to do😖. Done or not, Spring will arrive for sure next year. 😄Have a wonderful weekend! - Evita
Morning from British Columbia Canada! So glad I found your channel. In addition to learning so much I love the Zen like approach you take Your eye for design is amazing Keep up the good work 😍
Hi Sandra, I can’t really be sure without seeing it ? But Is the one box getting more sun then it was getting before , a different position maybe? & has it picked up or getting worse? I Hope it’s not anything serious 🧐 fingers crossed 🤞 All the best & have a lovely week 🌱 Chip
I have a ficus benjimina that is approximately 30 years old and he has relocated with me three times. For the last 20 years he has lived in Florida, died twice, and came back again. His name is Lazarus!
Hi Krisgeringer, some times it’s quite difficult to explain what I’m doing but in short I’m talking about 12 inches of the top so it’s a better shape than come next summer I will be able to shape all the new growth into something more tree like 👍🏼 hope that helps, all the best 🌱 Chip
Giggles 🤭😁 thank you Neens, I’m sure she will love it now she’s in the spot light & now she has light from all directions 👍🏼 have a great day & all the best 🌱 Chip
Hello Chip and I am loving what you’re doing to transform this beautiful front garden. Miss Japonica looks amazing, and your moss covered stones are beautiful. I didn’t know why you added the wooden supports around the tree though and interested to know why you did that? Looks amazing and oh wow a pond next! ❤
Hi Janette, thank you for your lovely message, the supports are just to keep Miss Japonica stable whilst she roots in as she has such a small root ball for her hight which is over 6 foot tall, any wind would move & disrupt her rooting in progress so these temporary stakes should help her for the first six months 🌳 looking back I just wished I would have used large bamboo instead, it would have looked more in keeping with the design style, knowing me I may change it 😂 hope you & yours are well, have a wonderful week & all the best 🌱 Chip
Lots & lots still to do on this garden Richard , iv only set out the framework for now , lots more lovely things to come so stay tuned 🤠 have a fun week 🍂 Chip
What type of compost did you use was it soil based nothing extra added to it . Just found your channel ,i done a few topary box so i need your help to maintain them thanks
Hi John it looks like gypsy boy got here before me sorry for the late reply. The soil I used was topsoil. Now it’s in the ground there should be no need to feed thank so much for the message and all the best 🌱Chip
Chips, I greatly admire your work. I wonder if you can help me. I have a small backyard on a slope and don’t know how to make it beautiful. How much would it cost to get a design plan for my garden from you?
What hardy evergreen plant would you recommend for a container. I live in Scotland and was thinking either Bay tree or Portuguese Laurel. Was interested to know what would be your choice. I would like a lollipop shape
Hi Nick , I have two lollipop Bay trees 🌳🌳 they are my pride and joy & sit ether side of my front door , saying that last year I got four lollipop Portuguese Laurels but as I only got these last year I don’t have much experience with them as yet & I’ve had my Bay trees for over 15 years years & they are very beautiful & reliable so I would go Bay tree 🌳🌳 all the best & let me know what you decide, have a fun one 🌱 Chip
Sure looks amazing Mr Chip. Out here in the high Mohave desert I plant a lot in raised garden boxes and yard sale planters and rock beds it gives the roots a chance to establish in amended soil as well as keeping that clay soil underneath moist. I have to say any great garden improvement is not instant gratification it takes time to sort through. But the end game is so worth it. I love your designs. See you next time.
Hi Kelly, thank you very much indeed 🤠 lovely to hear about your raised gardening in the Mohave desert it sounds wonderful & your so right about a garden design , it takes time & a lot of effort to develop & also things can often change over time too , have yourself a wonderful week, all the best 🌱 Chip
You make a god job.

That is so beautiful. I'm inspired!
Instant gardening ! Looks great with the mossy stones and the fern and it makes the temporary stabilising look less noticeable.
