    It's impressive how such a complex film-making program was made by a few people at Valve making use of Source. This is something I would expect from a large company purely dedicated to these types of software (Adobe, Autodesk, etc.). Kudos to you guys, Valve is awesome!

    Tutorials 1 through 4 were pretty well done. They were presented at a pace suitable for their complexity. This tutorial, on the other hand, features a similar running time to cover a much more complex subject. As a result, it's rushed and simply not taught very well.

    If your confused like I was at 3:00 as to how he's creating the soft fall-off, what you do is hold on shift and scroll with the mouse wheel, it's simple, it was just unclear in that bit. So far these tutorials have been pretty good, but this bit was confusing. I get it now though, hopefully that helps someone.

    OH MAN I get this now! It's actually pretty brilliant. If you're familiar with Keyframes, think of the start and end of a time selection as two keyframes, and all of time selected is just like editing a value universally rather than over a span of time.

  • @Segab
    @Segab 12 лет назад +4

    "If we want to make a soft time selection, you can go ahead and drag out a fall off by either clicking and draging at the edges of the time selection, or holding down the shift mose wheel."

    • @fellll9774

      What it does: if you make a change, it can make those changes happen gradually rather then suddenly.
      How to do it: you can create a soft selection by clicking the time selection and then whilst pressing shift, using the mouse wheel.

  • @IsaacA192
    @IsaacA192 12 лет назад

    No my argument is perfectly valid, you make yourself out to be better then everyone else because apparently you find the program and the tutorial easy to follow, some people don't and yet you insinuate that they are intellectually impaired, so i say just because you find something easy doesn't mean everyone does, there for i present the expression the world does not revolve around you, the meaning is in context to what you said there for its valid.

    I just think people were upset with the way you had to say it. There's no need to be disrespectful, dude. Some people learn at a slower pace, but they still learn. Some people get scared at the daunting tasks and the time it'll take to learn to master them with something like this, and just give up all together.
