Lin this is James Helms from SV CODDIWOMPLE me and Nicole love you so much. 😘 We hope that our RUclips channel 🙏 will bring some joy to your life. Your life and documentation of yours has been very inspirational part of ours. God speed and fair winds.
Do you remember in the early eighties, we met in Montague Harbour, Galiano Is., you were with family, Larry was not aboard, I gave you a tow through Active Pass (strong currents) into the Strait of Georgia with my Alberg 37. I think you were on your way to Vancouver. So nice to have met you. Ken Kirkpatrick
I just learned of the Pardey’s story, and they are worthy of the adulation. I’m just hoping to walk for a while in their footsteps with my family one day. Best wishes to Lin and their families. RIP to Larry who was the greatest sailor ever, but somehow an even better man. ⚓️
Sorry to hear about Larry. Your adventures have been my adventures through your books in my life. I remember reading next to my wife while she was in labor. Never reading your books before, she had me me read a bit to her out of 'Cruising in Seraffyn'. She said it took the edge off thinking of wild winds, poor anchorages, or pelicans awkwardly running with fish heads in their mouths. Needless to say we 'both' still read your writings. Thank You for sharing your stories and guides over the years!! Cheers to sailing into a calm sunset!!!
Hi Lin. I've followed you and Larry for the past 30 years. You've greatly influenced my approach to sailing. Thank you for continuing to share your lift-after-sailing with us admirers. Wish you all good things and hope to meet you someday. -Gene
So sorry to hear about Larry. You are an amazing couple. I have a book of yours and a dvd. You are my inspiration to go sailing which I intend to do when I retire next year at 65. I won't be putting in 47 years, but 3 or 4 years will be enough i hope. Wishing you both the very best.
Hi Lin, What an absolutely beautiful video. Your wonderful kindness shines thru and your loving references to Larry are extremely touching. You don’t know me, but I know you… or maybe I should say that I know of you. My name is Dan Streech. I met you and Larry in 1971 when we were all anchored in Portobelo Panama. We were a family of 6 aboard a 54’ yawl called Malabar VII and we visited your boat. You kindly gave me great advice and made a big impression on me. You went on to become famous for your passagemaking, writing and speaking and I was able to follow you. We completed our cruise to Ft Lauderdale and I went on to enter the boat business first as a salesman and eventually as President of PAE/Nordhavn…. which has been my only job for the last 41 years. I know that as odd as it might sound, Nordhavns have a few molecules of Pardey DNA. But alas… time has marched on…. Appreciative, Dan
Yes, of course I remember you and the merry crew of Malabar. Thanks for your kind words. I have lead a most fortunate life and continue to do so. Still voyaging, thanks to the skills Larry imparted. You can check this out on my Facebook page, Lin Pardey.
A wonderful gift of inspiration you both have been and continue to be. Thank you for sharing the truth in taking risk and living life fully. Best wishes Lin!
Charter days..... now sixty nine years, masters experiences ... great to see you and hear your stories, Larry sat with me at the bar, and fascinated me... and motivated me Thank you Pardeys....Love your island home....
Lin, In watching this video I've realize we have something in common. I've put a deposit on the same little boat that you have. I take delivery in a few days. I think it will suit my purpose exactly, a small boat that I can handle solo but is stable and fun. What are your impressions of your Bullseye? Any tips? I've read and enjoyed your books over the years. All the best.

Lin, this is both inspiring and sad at the same time. We, like many, hope to follow in your footsteps - even if only a few years.
