- Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel ヽ(^。^)丿
Today, I want to share my advice on how to score in the 4th QUARTILE on the CASPER exam in ONE WEEK. These are tips I have gathered from my CASPER exam prep, but I found that a lot of the advice also applies to INTERVIEW PREP, so be sure to co-opt what you learn during CASPER prep with interview prep for even more practice and experience.

Here is the summary from the back cover:
Chronically Ordinary is Rachel Elisabeth’s fourth poetry book. This poetry collection explores themes such as chronic stress, feeling trapped, and falling into slumps. The work touches on the constant need to catch up and distinguish oneself, along with the simultaneous feeling of getting lost in the crowd and feeling inadequate, uninspired, and ordinary, sentiments that often arise from life in a digital age. The book reflects on one’s journey with conflicting emotions, discovering oneself, and ultimately accepting and embracing one’s uniqueness.

Great video! Would love to hear more on how you made the comprehensive centralized document with scenarios, like how you extrapolated a scenario to a more general question type. Are there any particular youtubers you used as reference when making that document since a few of the give conflicting advice?
Hi, thanks for watching!!
I watched several different channels on YT covering CASPer that have example scenarios like Shemmassian, Bemo, and other premed creators so some of the general responses did vary between different channel perspectives
Bemo was a super useful resource for breaking down the different general question types but generally searching “casper examples” on YT led me to several good videos but since there are many videos there will be ones that say diff advice so definitely go with what you think best after watching and synthesizing this info
@@geniuspeng Thanks!

Hi Rachel thanks so much for the tips and advice! How long did you take to prepare for the exam. I am currently prepping but am not sure how long i should, there is an exam july 27th and then later July 9th. Its a bit of a gap which is why I am debating on whether or not to take it earlier.
Hi Nayna, thanks for watching! I took about a week to prepare but this was more dedicated time. I think 2 weeks gives you plenty of time but it also depends on other obligations you have rn.
Great insights! Straightforward! Can i get a copy of the doc?
Thanks for watching! The link to the doc is in the video description😃
Thank you for sharing your tips! Will you mind sharing the document with your advice and strategies for CASPer (the linked document seems to be for the MCAT)? Additionally, how did you plan your studying within the week before taking the CASPer?
Hello Saya, here is the doc, thanks for watching!!
docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1BbMAd4LYxk93rQ93mMTC-QXaSVdT0ijgEx-3DlQt93I/mobilebasic
The week before CASPer:
1. I started by first going onto the website and familiarizing myself with the formatting of the exam
2. watching as many example videos as I could to get a feel for answer structure
3. While watching vids taking notes on keep pts (reference my doc for examples of notes I took)
4. Taking the free practice exam offered by Altus who is the one making the exam
Hope this helps, feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions!!
@@geniuspeng Thank you Rachel!!! This is so so helpful - I really appreciate you sharing your insights with us!! Best of luck this cycle if you are applying
@@Saya-dv2sz you’re welcome!! I applied this cycle, thank you for your well wishes 😃
Thanks for this very useful video. Is it ok to type your answers in bullet points as opposed to writing long sentences?
Hi Grace, thanks for watching!! General rule of thumb is best to write in paragraphs but I don’t think they’ll penalize you for writing in bullet points since they don’t penalize for grammar or writing errors. The Altus Suite website says the graders are trained to ignore spelling mistakes as well as any written formats like bullet pts and incomplete sentences.
Thank you!
@@ioannamariakarantza2405 thanks for watching!!

Hi where can I accesss the document? This video was super helpful!
Hi !! Glad the was helpful :) the doc is in the video description
I know this might be a bit tedious for you but i was wondering could you show us how you actually answered capser questions with the thing you talked about two columns as i have my casper in a few weeks time and I'm completely lost where to start. If not All good but great video 🙂🙂
Hello, thanks for watching! Though I won’t be able to make a full video on this specifically I would like to address your question
Regarding the two columns I created this to ensure I addressed multiple sides of an issue (most of the times there are 2 sides/perspectives to balance so that’s why I suggest 2 columns but this number may very but 2 is a good starting point)
On one column side I wrote down things to consider from Person A’s point of view and then in the other column I wrote down things to consider from Person B’s point of view
Once again this ensures you are fairly addressing and considering both sides of the situation
However this must be a quick jotting down as you don’t have much time so don’t make it too detailed, only use if you try it and it helps you organize your thorughts
great video
Thank you!
thanks for sharing your tips i will be having my exam this wednesday and i don’t really understand the çäspēr text can you explain more ?
Hi, thank you for watching! Which part do you need clarification on?
Thanks for sharing your experience and tips. Also, do they penalize if I don’t use certain things like commas, capital letters? The shift key takes long while typing out my response in small letters. Also, I’d really appreciate if you can provide me your document. Thank you.
Hi Oat, thanks for reaching out! No, they will not penalize if you don’t use proper punctuation. CASPer graders are trained to grade based on content and not grammar or other writing technicalities, so don’t worry if you have multiple mistakes, incomplete sentences, lowercase, etc.
The link to the document is in the video description! 😃
Question. 🙋🏽♂️ do you have to show the blank sheet of paper 📝 before you start? If the camera is only focusing on you (like in your video), how would they know if someone has a cheat sheet on their desk
That’s a good question, I don’t remember showing blank paper before question but they may have changed it this year, I would def double check before your exam!!
Hi Rachel. Is it possible to share the document where you compiled scenarios and responses. I’m testing soon and do not have a lot of time. It would be very helpful.

Hey thanks for the video! What was ur wpm just so I know?
Hi, thanks for watching! My wpm is around 100.
However, don’t stress too much if it isn’t high, as long as you can type fast enough to match your thoughts. If you want, you can practice some typing games but not the end of the world if you can’t increase it by a lot, as they’ve also added a video section to CASPer to sort of control for the typing speed bias.
@@geniuspeng Thanks, I'm around 70, so I hope it is enough
@@nbveneno9452 np! I think 70 wpm is definitely enough and you should be good to go since the average is around 45 wpm.

Hey i have one question ...that in case of video responses, the video is automatically sent after a particular timing. Is this the same case in typing section..like do we have to press enter to send in our response or will it be automatically sent to them and we can move on to next question ?
Hi, the text responses are automatically sent just keep typing until the last minute, everything is basically automated. Thanks for watching!!

@@geniuspeng hey..just one more question. While recording video answers, what if our response ends before one minute ? Do we have to sit still and wait for next question or we have the option to send the response if we're already done with it ?
