“One Big Escort Mission”
Sophie are you forgetting about RE 4? This would be “One Big Escort Mission 2: The cuter one”
But what about ICO?
Also The Last of Us.

Nippon Ichi holds *a competition within the studio for one of the dev's game idea pitch to become an actual game.*
Their previous "indie" games were Yomawari and A Rose in the Twilight. Last year's winner was turned into this game.
I really like that these things happen as
a) In a big company, not every dev's wish to make a game of their own gets fulfilled. This is a chance to make it happen
b) New and interesting Ideas for story/setting/gameplay get explored that wouldn't otherwise get realized in bigger projects.

Nice video, Sophie. As always.
If I had not found your channel, I never would have played nier games and gris, nor found out about Lost Soul Aside and many more games that have been released or have yet to come. So I thank you! You evolved my taste in video games .
Finding her channel made me realize how much I want to hear her do an audiobook or voice act
Ended up buying the digital version, and i love it. I want to grab the collectors edition for the story book.
I'm not gonna lie. This game also seems like it has a very calming and beautiful atmosphere to it. Just look at the background environments. The details seem very aesthetic in beauty and fantasy. Which can be comparable to a white noise putting me to sleep, actually. It reslly seems like something I'd want to enjoy playing at night before falling to sleep.
Lucky for you, NIS has made tons of these cute ass puzzle platformers.
Was just playing this and thought "hey I wonder if shes going to make a review for this game. It's right up her alley"
Oh shit she said right up your alley in the first 5 seconds. Lol
Have you seen the "Storybook Edition" (Collectors Edition) of this game? It comes with a CD Sound track and a storybook with the story full of pictures.

This game gives me the feels with it's cuteness. PROTECC THE PRINCE
I strongly recommend getting the physical collector's edition that includes the actual storybook. Its binding is gorgeous and the art inside is just as whimsical and cute as it appears in the game. The soundtrack included is fine for what it is. I like the compositions, but each track is very short and they all sort of blend together. I was hoping for more interesting vocal tracks like the song by Akiko Shikata used in the trailer for the game.
The way they fall but smile and carry on is just hhhnggggg!
Not only the game is cute but the review is also very good, straight to the point and it shows perfectly for who this game is
Please do some audiobooks! Your voice is so soothing.
Edit: Noooooo! It's not available on the PC? I'm sad...
I saw the trailer for this just a few days ago, and looked really interesting.
The Liar Princess looks like a Chibi Sophie.
The ending exceeded my expectation. I need a bear or two to kill just to get back my manliness again
Hahaha Thanks! I was wondering if the ending is good. :) Now go get that bear! lol
Something that personally stuck with me as I played through the game was personally leading the prince around. He never felt like an abstract gameplay element to me. Directly leading him around via the wholesome act of holding hands really helped me grow attached to him, the princess, and their quest to reach the witch deep within the forest.
Excellent review, and I hope your video helps this game reach more people!
I think this is the earliest I’ve caught one of your videos!
Some toddlers frequently visit at my house, so I’m always looking for enjoyable games to play that they can watch, and this looks perfect!
really enjoy your reviews cus of how smooth and relaxing your voice is!
Im obsessed with your intro because it fits every topics u talked in your videos very well. *^*
God I️ am early, great video and I️ love the look. I️ would play this for how cute it is
Thank you for actually having comments AND criticism. Most reviews I see are either "yes game is good" or "no game is bad" but never a "ya its good for this reason but, its not so good for this reason or if you dont like this style". Basically, no hate or favoritism in your comments
your voice is so crystal clear I had no need for captions at all, and that great because the art style of this game is so beautiful I couldn't get my eyes off it!
Your videos relax me. Love the fairytale story. Going to check this out.
Your voice is always an eargasm for i dont know why i love your voice!!! Also nice review id never know about some of these games
I saw this game just a few days ago and wasn't sure if I wanted to get it or not. This review definitely convinced me to check it out. Thanks for the vid, it was great!
I love the little detail on the princess's face when she doesn't hold the prince, where she looks worried, but the moment they are back together she starts smiling
Thank you so much for sharing. I love the style in which you review games!
The story kinda reminds me of Little Mermaid.
TFW you realize VA could probably make oodles of monies narrating children's story books.
So Disney's The Little Mermaid except instead of wanting to meet the prince after having previously saved him she wants to meet the princes out of guilt for accidentally mutilating him lol I dig it.
Just bought the physical version because this looks right down my alley.
Thanks for the review Sophie!
awesome video as always I love Ur reviews Aurora 😁
Thank you thank you thank you, I forgot about this and your review convinced me to get it, thank you always for covering this sort of thing!
Aw, I was hoping you'd go a bit more in depth with the music, but that's only because Akiko Shikata is one of my favorite composers/singers.
Still a great review, so thank you for that!
As always review is well edited and written especially that soothing mumbling voice of yours but the game looks adorably amusing like one of those fairytale children books that your parents used to read for u to put u to sleep or even just u reading the and visuals are truly cute and stunning like u said but I’m glad it was released for the Nintendo switch too portability and cuteness love the OST already yeah already Bought it can’t wait to play it!! Have a good one and I’m out
Thank you for the video. I'll be picking up a copy soon.
Great review! I just finished the game and I agreed with your review. This game was definitely frustrating to play during some sections, but overall I loved it so much. I just adored the prince and the princess and the ending brought me to tears. These characters are so cute and charming!
I bought this game because of your review, good job.
Can't wait to play this game
Now we need a children's story book called "The Princess Liar Stole my Pie".
Thanks for making this video Sophie! I've been looking forward to this game's international release for a while, and am glad that it's getting some attention from the people who would enjoy it.
I really loved this game. Saw the trailers and weeks later, I had a very bad break up. I saw the special edition with the book at a store and bought it at a whim. It was very beautiful to look at, with a really lovely soundtrack, and although it's not very hard or super challenging, it was very relaxing and was one of the games that helped me feel better.
I do wish the game was a bit longer, too, and I really loved how the prince is a helper as well.
I'm glad the game gets more coverage! And glad you had a good time, too, playing through it
This sounds really cute I might pick it up
Yaaaaaay finally the Review video!
I was looking for a review, in the end, that was exactly as expected.
I love the way you review games! And this game is adorable!
Your video actually help me by the game. About the switch version that came with the story book in the soundtrack I got to say this is a beautiful looking game
This is just what I needed! Thank you!
Thanks for bringing this game to my attention. I'm gonna go play it now.
Also Akiko Shikata is amazing at whatever she does so I was hooked by the singing immediatly after I watched the trailers.
Appropriate that Sophie would mention bedtime fairy tale stories because I think she would have the perfect voice for that. Lol
I bought the physical editon today, and the storybook tackled only the first part of the story and the book cover alone is pretty neat(my wife loved it) I hope soon they release a full storybook in the future because my kid really loves it.
Awesome video as usual
Lol wow I was thinking of checking this game out and I hoped someone I follow would review it... so cheers! Your opinion seems about what I expected from this game and honestly does still seem up my ally, I can forgive some weaker gameplay if it’s stronger in other aspects.
The way she smiles once she grabs onto the prince's hand. 3:04
Finally, some good content today, love the work ❤❤❤
Great channel and review. Instant sub
I’ve been wanting this since I saw the teaser however long ago. It’s disappointing to hear that the gameplay doesn’t keep up with the quality of the story, but I might still be getting it, at least once I have more disposable income.
Okay, but look at her smile when she holds his hand
The one caveat with the game being extremely easy is the final level. It gets a bit more challenging towards the end, but the final level basically goes "HEY, WE'RE ACTUALLY GONNA MAKE YOU ABLE TO FAIL." Which makes sense in the story, but after being a leisurely stroll for the most part, it did somewhat catch me off guard and cause me a number of deaths.
But a good review, and its very much a good, average game.
The art is so cute that I'm dying, definitely going to my wishlist.
Right out the gate, and by accident! I can't wait for your next review!
U really sold me on this game. Definitely gonna try it out
The cuteness that gets cut by a sudden comedic fall on the face, i love it.
My eyes are still dry af from crying too much thx to this cute game
It looks beautiful the art style is very unique and it seems to have a wholesome story
If anybody is reading this please please please buy this game. I highly recommend it.
voice for human form... I swear I heard of that before...
Shut up fishes, stop singing, I'm trying to think.
This game is cute as heck. And as a fan of Spice and Wolf I am not adverse to wolves that turn into humans.
A 6/10 game? Girl no, only for the concept art, the unique style, the music being in perfect harmony with every stage and the fact that they broke the old concept of the princess being always the one rescued the game deserves a 7,5/10 at least. You should rate games for what they are clearly made for but I guess each person has different points of view.
When the title says Review but in reality its just a bed time story
I was debating whether to get this game after getting final Fantasy 9. Thank you I really needed this to further my interest
I was wondering if I should get it but now this just confirms my wanting the game even more! Haha thank you ^^/
Thanks for the review!
But what is substinence?
I loved this game's premise the moment I saw the trailer when it dropped. Needless to say it's definitely on my list of games I need to play this year.
I love your voice!
It's a storybook with platforming and action side-content, and it's beautiful.
Just to add a few things currently if you preordered the switch version or you got the storybook version of the game. It does include an actual storybook of the incidents that lead up to the main quest of the game and a music CD. I am fairly sure you can still get this version since this game is not a top the of everyones list as a must have game.
Hey Sophie, since you played MGR for your Ventures, will you review/ do a Ventures for Devil May Cry 5 next month?
Look at those little matchstick legs
I was sold once I saw the trailer and immediately preordered the Storybook edition. I ran into a couple snags in the platforming, puzzles were a bit simple but I'm too sold by the cuteness. I'd say it ought a be longer, but for a $20 game it's a good length.
Thank god it has a new game plus mode though. 6/10 sounds about right, but I'd say it leans to to the edge of 7
Have you ever played Fe? I would love to see one of your reviews on it
This is too adorable.
I've been debating on getting this. It looked so cute from what I so, but I didnt know the type of game it was. I might get it just to have something chill to play.
Yess new video by Valkyrie Aurora!
I’m attracted to the visuals, but considering everything else that is coming out, there are a lot of great games, I dunno. The play time is good considering I don’t get as much game time as I use to and the game not being difficult isn’t bad either as I sometimes need to play a game that is super chill. But still, I dunno. Money and time is tight.
I really enjoy this art style
This sort of reminds me of Li-Eat. Which, if you haven't played and enjoy storybookish sorta of games, I recommend. It's a quick play, but omg the music.
The premise sounds so gooddd! now i wanna know the rest of the story so I'll probably get this 😶
I will never play this game, but wow that character art is just too adorable. Thanks for sharing~
I love the design of the wolf
damn ur intro is so good
Love the art style and the fairy tale story presentation, so I'll be sure to check this game out. Thanks for the recommendation 🙂.
The blind prince kind of looks a bit like human form Emil doesn't he? Hopefully the prince gets a happy ending, but I guess I'll find out.
You need to do more reviews Valkyrie :D
now this reminds me of how long I have left my console untouch since I got a PC, but this seems interesting to me
Finally, someone is talking about this game. I've wanted it since it's japanese release and I'm glad I'm not alone.
I may have to play this now
thank god you post this video after valentine.....
It looks like the characters from Missing halloween by Mike Inel but as teenagers.
The way you control the prince reminds me of Abe Oddisey and Exodus, which are actually very hard adventure platformers despite having "clunky" controls (it's not hard because of the controls though), so they could have tuned up the difficulty in here but that's probably not what they were going for.
This looks like a honestly good game to give kids.
