This movie was supposed to come out on my Mom’s birthday, but the date got moved up. She passed away in January of last year, and I made myself a promise that I would go and see movies that I know she would have loved. As soon as I heard the premise, I knew this was going to be one of those movies. I’m so, so glad to hear that all of these reviews are pointing that this is going to be a great film.
If that’s the case be prepared to cry. I saw it on weekend at uk advance screenings. With the story you’re saying it will most likely touch your soul hard
This is so good to hear. The trailers did not have me excited... but I was really hoping it would be a nice one to take my daughter to. She has cerebral palsy and loves to go to the theater with me... I'm so happy to hear this is a good one.
Fabulous movie went to see then ended up seeing it again the following day in fact enjoyed it mire the second time around. There was a special preview screening in the UK last weekend. I highly recommend it
I have never cried so much at a film and I am a 6ft 2 tough acting man 😂😂. Think it was more to do with me thinking about my childhood and missing the past.
Unfortunately this movie will flop. This is why I don’t get ppl saying Hollywood doesn’t make original films anymore. This will be a perfect example of there being a great original film and no one will see it.
Even though projections are around 40 million opening 😂 plus word of mouth why would you think it would flop until you see what it does opening weekend smh
@@LSDJ4Ycompletely agree with you i am not hearing many people talk about it and also the trailers just weren’t great imo. But who knows maybe I will give it a chance
I'm definitely intrigued by this movie, it has a Greatest Showman-ish kind of vibe where it catches your attention but you're unsure what to expect but then (hopefully) you come out stunned and surprised by the results! We shall see, looks fun!
I’m incredibly curious about this movie, because it looks like one that can either be super cute and charming or absolutely blow, watching the marketing for this movie makes me go “I can’t tell if I hate this or love this” Like I’m serious, I genuinely don’t know, and so I’m very interested to see what side of the spectrum it actually ends up falling on for me
This movie 🎥🍿 looks Awesome 👍 I hope it does a Trillion dollars 💰 💰 💰 🤑 we need more feel good movies like these. Movies with Heart and emotions. Just like back in 1980s to 2000s Cool movies even 2010s had Awesome films
Rob brought up Van Wilder, I'll bring up an earlier work: Two Guys & a Girl formerly known as Two Guys, A Girl & A Pizza Place. Even in the rough 1st Season you can still see Reynolds has that IT factor. But of course he really explodes in the 2nd Season where he shows this guy is here to stay & he's a leading man/romantic lead. Yeah I'm not gonna pretend I love everything he's been in (* Cough* Origins/Red Notice *Cough Cough Violent Cough*) but I've never truly got this Vitriolic Hate that people have for him.
Reminds me of Wonka. Didn't get excited from the marketing, though it would be another dumb kids movie, but it wound up surprising me in the best way. Maybe this will be the same.
Early reactions are almost always positive and provide no real indication if the movie is good or not. Case in point, IF is rotten on RT right now. Not sure why a segment is always designated to them when they’re consistently misleading.
It's fun to look at early reactions and compare them to how the movie actually turned out. I gotta admit though, this is a very jarring contrast because usually when a movie is scoring this badly on rotten tomatoes then at least one single early reaction hint at it not being perfect
Why are people calling this complete ripoff of Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends “original”? It looks so predictable. Gaurantee Reynolds will end up being an imaginary friend. The humor in the trailers is cringe af despite me loving almost everyone involved
@@gabewhite9182I’d probably trust the guy who worked with him then a rando on the internet, then again it’s not unrealistic that he might also be a liar.
You Do Know That's On Purpose Right? It's A Movie About Imaginary Friends. You Really Think All Of Them Are Going To Be Designed By Picasso? Come On Bro It's Kids. Majority Of Them Can't Draw That Well Yet.
@eurongreyjoy2 Because That's Some Kids Imagination Lmao. You Really Think All These Kids Got Imaginations To Think Of The Most Beautiful And Artistic Creations? No, They Just Know How To Imagine Stuff. Some Kids Imaginary Friends Are So Simple And Some Are Weird And Some Are Creative. Just Like They Showed In The Trailers.

Awesome movie made me cry like a baby 😍So great congrats for the director love it 🥰
Sawing this last night at the red carpet was awesome, for sure, had me in tears
The film is amazing, absolutely amazing. One of the best family films ever made.
(Walking Dead cast for the win, again!)
Having seen an advanced preview last Saturday, I can concur with these reactions. It's terrific!
saw it at the cinema last weekend, thought it was wonderful
My daughter is 10 and this is one of her most anticipated movies of the year. She’s so excited about this film. I’m taking her on Friday.
Believe me you will enjoy it as much as she does
Now, I'm just waiting for Krasinski to make his Oscar movie.
It's going to be a big hit this summer

What are you talking about. Im certainly intrigued. Id actually go
It’s Because they’re marketed so poorly that they flop
The studios don’t have faith in originality so they spend as little money as possible
@@LSDJ4Ycompletely agree with you i am not hearing many people talk about it and also the trailers just weren’t great imo. But who knows maybe I will give it a chance
Not to be like that but my issue with this movie is that it's kind of not original. A lot of it bites off of Foster's home
Asa Walking Dead fan, I’ll go see it for Cailey Fleming. Her plus Ryan and John K, I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.

Greatest showman had the advantage of coming out at Christmas when word of mouth works cos theres nothing out for another month
@@mk6rfc1 that's true, I didn't think about that, but you're right! Maybe I was getting at that too and didn't realize!
I think it’s live action Toy Story type of vibes
Matt Damon is the sunflower and I cant wait to see it this weekend

Garfield may join billion dollar club
No shot
more like the LASANA dollar club
Can’t wait to take my daughter to see this. I think she’ll enjoy it.
It looks like a live action Pixar movie. And I mean that as a compliment.

Today in burbank, a giant double decker bus drove by covered in fur for a Garfield ad. I was like holy fucking shit lol.
I've been interested in it because of the people involved. The trailers have been okay. I'll most likely see it the first week.

This movie look interesting
I like the trailers. I thought they were cute 💜 I'll watch it 💜

Just based on the reactions, I'm guess Ryan Reynolds will end up being the girl's IF. Maybe a version of her father than she imagined.
fosters home for imaginary friends
This film i think will have legs
Honesty the trailers just aren’t great they don’t show enough of the film imo. I just don’t have an enough interest in it but maybe I will go see it.

I want to see this. But with all the movies coming out, I’m going to wait until this hits streaming
Great film maybe, but i can bet will flop in theatres
I think last I heard tracking was actually pretty decent
This movie is a big green splat on RT.
I think it’s the Anne Hathaway vibe I may be completely wrong but he can come off as insufferable for some people
More people like Ryan Reynolds then hate Ryan Reynolds, Only one guy doesn’t like him far as I know.
