I became disabled from a back injury, and was forced to retire early. I LOVED my nursing job, and truly felt that my fellow nurses were my family, after working with them for 24 years. I moved from Northern CA to GA, where I was born, bc of finances, and to be near my extended family. That was summer of 2019, just before the pandemic. All my friends said they would visit. It's almost 4 years now and nobody has visited. At first I thought it was just bc of covid, but now I'm thinking that nobody really meant it. My point is that you really have to work hard to stay in touch. I really miss my friends, I miss my career, and I miss living in CA. Your new home is gorgeous! I know your Utah friends and family will be so glad to have you guys back on the mainland.💜

Am I the only one who’s really happy for Stella? As a younger sister you often get the left overs because you just weren’t old enough to need something or knew better not to be tricked! It’ll be great for Stella to have the walk-in closet too… hope you don’t take it away from her just because Ozzy will see the benefits from it before Stella! They’re both amazing rooms though in a great house 🥰
Talking as an older sister, we might have some benefits but we have it a lot harder, parents are a lot harder on us than the younger ones, and younger ones are allowed to do a million things we could never. So as an older sibling I’d rather have the big room if I’ll have to deal with the worse of our parents, younger one can get the smaller room and live in peace.
@@micaelaiampietro1837 I get that! Tbh not my experience much, but there’s just two of us and even when arguments ensued we were generally both grounded! My parents were very good at balancing things out in making it fair but also knowing both their kids were completely different. My sister did open doors for me when it came to leniancy etc, but when I was old enough I also did for her many times. But we younger ones generally don’t get to fight for equal things until quite older because we’re just younger and naive and do get a lot of hand me downs or the less good choice. Balances out when we’re a bit older though.
It might be that Ozzy grows up and just isn't the fashionista type, but Stella will be. Or it could be the opposite, and Stella won't mind switching. You never know!
They want to have one more child so Ozzy will probably end up with the quest room, Stella will stay her room she has now and the new child in the smaller room, just a prediction.

Ah I feel you so much for this move! We moved to the Caribbean for medical school with our 4 kids and those Samsonite tote-a-ton bags SAVED our butts and we definitely had towers of those. You guys are doing awesome. All the emotions are so real. Let them flow, both of you! It's healthy. Good luck on your new beginnings! That house, oh my gosh, it's gorgeous! So happy for you. I wish I had started a vlog years ago. We've moved 26 times in the last 20 years and my husband is in the works of finding a spot for a residency right now so we will be moving again this summer... Our oldest is leaving for a mission next month, our second will be starting at BYU Idaho in the fall... All the changes this year. Prayers for all of us this year!!

Their whole family (except for his brother and Sarah) was waiting for them to get back from Hawaii. My real question is why they went to Hawaii in the first place, I have no idea 😂. But I know that Sarah and his brother Derik will be also moving back home to Utah. They all are from there. Hawaii is my question - how did that happen?! Now, they are just back home. I hope you could understand my explanation. :)

I love y’all so much for showing the raw and real emotions behind moving so many miles away from what became home. I feel like people don’t really show the hard side to move and just show the happy excitement. I moved half way across the country when I got married and it felt like the right thing but was SO incredibly difficult. I was broken. And I felt like there was something wrong with me but this makes my feelings feel valid and I feel like I was in good company with what I was going through ❤️

I feel the sadness you guys are feeling ever since you’ve moved. I’ve lived in Maryland for my whole life but just had moved and it probably took 2 years for me to stop missing my home and friends. It will definitely take you some adjusting and time but just know that it was the right choice and it’s just a new chapter in your life where you’ll make so many new memories.

Build an emergency fund 5. Save to invest, this is the most important because it's a proven way to get richer. Very important to financial success.

But we younger ones generally don’t get to fight for equal things until quite older because we’re just younger and naive and do get a lot of hand me downs or the less good choice. Balances out when we’re a bit older though.
It might be that Ozzy grows up and just isn't the fashionista type, but Stella will be. Or it could be the opposite, and Stella won't mind switching. You never know!
They want to have one more child so Ozzy will probably end up with the quest room, Stella will stay her room she has now and the new child in the smaller room, just a prediction.

Ah I feel you so much for this move! We moved to the Caribbean for medical school with our 4 kids and those Samsonite tote-a-ton bags SAVED our butts and we definitely had towers of those. You guys are doing awesome. All the emotions are so real. Let them flow, both of you! It's healthy. Good luck on your new beginnings! That house, oh my gosh, it's gorgeous! So happy for you. I wish I had started a vlog years ago. We've moved 26 times in the last 20 years and my husband is in the works of finding a spot for a residency right now so we will be moving again this summer... Our oldest is leaving for a mission next month, our second will be starting at BYU Idaho in the fall... All the changes this year. Prayers for all of us this year!!

My real question is why they went to Hawaii in the first place, I have no idea 😂. But I know that Sarah and his brother Derik will be also moving back home to Utah. They all are from there. Hawaii is my question - how did that happen?! Now, they are just back home. I hope you could understand my explanation. :)

But the more I make this my home with my style and stuff the better it has gotten. We been here 3 years and we love it so very much. We inherited his grandfathers home here is why we moved here. I feel like people don’t really show the hard side to move and just show the happy excitement. I moved half way across the country when I got married and it felt like the right thing but was SO incredibly difficult. I was broken. And I felt like there was something wrong with me but this makes my feelings feel valid and I feel like I was in good company with what I was going through ❤️

I feel the sadness you guys are feeling ever since you’ve moved. I’ve lived in Maryland for my whole life but just had moved and it probably took 2 years for me to stop missing my home and friends. It will definitely take you some adjusting and time but just know that it was the right choice and it’s just a new chapter in your life where you’ll make so many new memories.

I just went through a unexpected move from FL back to WI and there are always so many emotions ; when you said "it seems like the right thing to do although it's sad" really resonated with me! Change is SO hard. Even if you know it's the right thing to do for your family, that doesn't make it much easier. You will adjust, and in time you will be comfortable. Home is where the love is .. and you brought that with you 💜

3. Save money towards retirement (Roth IRA/401k)
4. Build an emergency fund
