This is a heartfelt confession, Julian. I am pleased you have shared your story because it would help many who even admire you as a musician to give a belief in God at least a thought.
For it's hardly a religion as per se, but your faith in Christ Jesus, God the father, and the Holy Spirit, whom you mentioned at least a couple of times.

Wonderful testimony! Thanks for sharing this. Your initial encounter was similar to the one I had with Christ 50 years ago. It came suddenly out of the blue. A Damascus Road sort of experience like the apostle Paul had on the road to Damascus. ACTS 9:3-4 Wishing you and family a blessed Christmas.
Thank you Moto. Yep, I wasn’t looking for it, it came out of the blue, a ‘road to Damascus experience’. I attribute it to a couple of friends who were praying persistently for me for years. But since then I’ve seen too much that continues to confirms the Word.

Yay! I’ve followed you for a few years but didn’t know you were a Christian!
Thank you Julian. This is just what I needed to hear. My dad had a ministry traveling to the US training church leaders. During Covid, he set up a media ministry and asked if I would do the music for it. At this point he couldn't travel due to restrictions. I realised that I had been sitting on my gifts and that I needed to get serious about my music. So I started to learn in-depth music theory and putting in a lot of practice every day. Eventually he got the jab in order to be able to get back to the States. He was there for three weeks when he caught Covid and died in Pittsburgh and 66. It was a difficult time and I wanted to give up on my music as I could not see a future for myself, but I felt God telling me that He had given me that desire and that to quit would be a form of disobedience. So I continued. Your videos have been invaluable to my journey. I still don't know how He wants to use me, but He knows the way that I take! Job 23:10

Julian, there are not many christian jazz pianists about but my daughter Jasmine is one, she is 18 and has just started her own channel called Jasmine Leah. She hopes to be a Christian jazz artist and I am going to pass your channel onto her for inspiration becauae your teaching is fabulous. She has 12 videos on her channel and is starting to take the videos more serious and step up the quality. We haven't quite mastered the audio quality yet bit we are getting better with each attempt.
I love your piano Tutorials , Julian, which you offer for free on RUclips . I could tell there was something special in you and of course it’s the presence of the Holy Spirit ! Bless you in your ministry .
