    That's actually a really neat history for a popular model numbered tractor. Awesome job finding this one

    My grandad's neighbor used to remove the glass from the SoundGard cabs and run them like that. He did not like tractor cabs at all. Tough old buzzard. LOL

    Fun Time Friday. Oh boy my favorite era of ag equipment 1930s through early 1980s. Just love the look of John Deeres of that era. So simple to work on making maintenance easier than todays electronics in modern machinery. The tractors are well cared for, likely to be washed after each days use by the operator. Wide open spaces in that part of our great nation look so beautiful. This was a great way to end the week or the start of the weekend, watching farmers doing what they do best, grow crops & livestock. Be well to you your family & staff @ BTP 🚜🇺🇸👍

    The 4455 is probably the best tractor John Deere ever made. I can imagine this configuration would be at the top of the mark for such things as planting. I imagine it would handle a 12-row no-till planter quite nicely while giving the operator unmatched visibility and maneuverability.

    Very cool. I was raised on a farm in eastern Iowa town of dyersville. We had a 4440 with chrome stack and 2 x 4020. One 4020 was narrow row with a scoop on the front and no cab. The other 4020 was cabbed and was for grinding feed and other jobs around the farm.
    They were awesome and always started right up no matter how cold it was...as long as it was plugged in of course.

    At 3:31 I recognized the dealership decal on the blower. Valley Equipment, Hortonville WI. My grandpa got a lot of his equipment there. I remember riding along when I was 3 or 4 to get a brand new 4050. The salesman is still a family friend, and he gave us Packers playoff game tickets in '97 when they won the superbowl. Small world. • @user-jq1nn3ut5s
    @user-jq1nn3ut5s 5 лет назад

    Can tell just by looking at it that it doesn't have the same fenders as a 4020.
    As far as the transmission and rear end, neither a 4020 synchro nor a 4430 rear end would hold up to a 4455 powerplant. They may be the same design but are definitely not "the same".

    The fenders on that 4455 are not even close to the same other than the fact they are both fenders, the fenders on the 4455 are the same fenders you would have on a open station 4030,4230,4430,4630 and they only came with one headlight and a tail light housing and had the square look to them , the 4020 fenders were rolled on the top with norrow trimmed back edge with no tail light housing.

      Very cool. Thank you for sharing. What implements do you use with your 4455?

      @@bigtractorpower We don't use it too much right now because we got newer tractors but when my dad used they put a monosem 6 row precision planter and a John Deere mx425 disk

    Had a neighbor with a tractor like that all the warning labels were written in Spanish

      Tyler Jansen those open station 4455s were built in Mexico. We asked our local dealer about them at the time. Salesman said someone got ahold of the molds and started making parts. Thats why they were only made them one year.

      That’s a good one, our neighbor had a decal “the Mexican” painted on the fenders when their son began pulling it at the local county fairs

    It’s unique because it’s not a 4455

    Its a 4440 trans and rear end. 50 series engines. Built for export and not at all rare. There everywhere. Do some research before producing videos. Next thing you’ll be telling us a 4320 came with a power shift
