How can aesthetics be explained by the brain and its underlying biological, chemical, and physical processes? Neuroscience is explaining ever more about art, but will neuroscience ever explain everything about art?

Just let people be free, the same as you want for yourself, or later you become a subject of your own art.

I read Plotinus on Beauty last night, again, and he doesn't discuss only the concept but rather What Is Beauty in principle? Therefore stepping above the subjectivity of it. Ultimately he states the one who sees Beauty is the Lover. Although, to see this Beauty one must become beauty. In the bible somwheres: "as a man thinketh so shall he be". If somebody is addicted to serious drugs everything around him becomes potential money and the drug itself. Yeah. And what's really interesting about this Beauty: it's not seen with the sense perception organs, rather with the soul. It's why such men are drawn to philosophy, metaphysics, theology, God, Spirt, Truth, Wisdom, Justice, Beauty, Harmony.... and is why others rebuke it - for they only see through their sense organs.

Thank you! It is interesting that the meaning of art or meaning of beauty, or aesthetics changed during its long history. For Plato and Aristotle art was legitimate if it reveal in sensual and visible entity intelligible beauty or significance. That's why the art had to nourish the super-consciousness or human's spirit ("Nus"). For Kant the art or beauty educated the human's taste, his conscious capability to divide the beauty from the ugliness, it made us more enlightened and reasonable. And according to modern concept of art it must be cause of pleasure and be directed to human's subconscious level. The source of pleasure is always beauty, and the source of suffering is always ugliness. We have to recognize that our relationships with the art will be subjective and our criterion in order to divide beauty from ugliness will remain relative.

    "Physics and Neuroscience in Art"
The freedom to chooose to explain art is not a property of physical matter being enslaved by natural physical laws...
and the brain is a physical matter, so, the topic's subject is not coherent...
..it is our AWARE SELF who is our free immortal soul, who already had experienced Heaven and hell before coming to earth, who can understand the beauty or ugliness of any art that conveys the beauty of Heaven and the horrors of hell that can not be conveyed through traditional, normal, or common forms of clear communications...
..the reason is because this Universe was created to represent Heaven and hell to provide as hints to believe that there is better or worse place hereafter so to hopefully find faith in a loving GOD for our souls' salvation... and because Heaven and hell is beyond the reach of humans' limited physical senses, we can only express it through ART since our souls can sense it.
