- Temptation. No one lives without experiencing it, not even Jesus Himself. But Jesus is the only one who never gave in to it. Though He was God, Jesus was also a man, and He felt the draw of temptation just as we do. Pastor Greg uses Jesus' temptation in Luke 4 as a model of how we should react when tempted. Greg explains several aspects of temptation, including what our primary weapon against it should be.

don't put the physical above the spiritual; don't avoid (forget) the cross; trust the Lord (do not test him); know the word of God - use the sword of biblical knowledge to fight temptation

Then the desired when it has conceived gives birth to sin; and when sin It is full grown brings forth death.We grow up to maturity in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, from children to young men and become fathers.

Whenever I'm tempted, I picture the girl (the one I feel attracted to) in my head without her skin. Yup, this simple trick does the job! Flesh and bones are not attractive at all. It's only the skin that seduces.

I mean this in all respect, We will all fall into sin we can resist and fight however you will have a moment when you sin because that’s in our nature we are formed in sin and shaped in iniquity. There is hope yes and Jesus will forgive us yes!! That is the truth however we must not pretend because we live this life that we won’t ever fail again, this is a constant battle for a child of God you must resist your old self everyday and your old ways. Be careful of what you put in front of your eyes and what comes through your ears, keep fighting but don’t beat yourself up “when” you fall get back up and keep fighting.
What is the purpose of temptation?
No doubt ...to get you to sin .

Pastor, so many times the Lord has gone before me and neutralized the situation. Probably, 45 years ago the Lord said "you will have a ministry to Recalcitrants" I envision when HE leaves the 99 and goes after the 1...I am one of the ones that gets to go with HIM...full and running over with AGAPE LOVE. When they turn...they follow hard and committed after HIM...watch...

It's really time for me to go...actually past time...I am working on it from this end...soon and very soon. The Brother is not going to change as long as I am tethered here. He is embarrassed, ashamed and should be, bless his heart. I was asked/instructed to help him and that is all and it has been done. God is in control and where the Spirit of the LORD is..there is Liberty...i.e. 2 Samuel 7:3...it's going to all turn out great...but not until I am gone...
Pray for the way GOD wants ALL of this handled...I have done everything I'm supposed to for it to be decent and in order...so we Watch GOD...in Jesus name...
But the heart cannot be wicked, in my view... perhaps the Bible passage was misinterpreted?
Better to say, tenptation poisons the mind such that the heart too is weakened... and resistance is shaken.

Just because you trip up at times in your walk doesn’t make you not a Christian. Every day is a battle you’re just trying to be better than yesterday and you always have to repent for your sins daily with God especially if you know what you’re doing is sin! But that doesn’t mean you can continue in sin either. It doesn’t matter if you are a brand new Christian or somebody that has been a Christian for many years, we all fall short in the glory of God. Don’t condemn yourself God wouldn’t even do that but your choices will have ramifications.
.God wants us to acknowledge our mistakes and sharpen your sword for battle meaning being read the word, pray, have an accountability partner, and be a part of a small bible study group so you
can have a support system

Instead of always resisting temptations to do what is evil, I simply get rid of the temptation with empathy, sympathy, pity, and love. No need for the help of a religion.
religion is not the answer Christ is the life giving spirit He has numbered all of you're breaths from the day you were made in the womb and in a love for you that is undying and woke you up this morning and He loves you and died to justify you before God - justification with God is by faith alone even if you don't get religion just do yourself a service and accept Jesus Christ as savior and love Him ad love you're fellow man by faith and let that virtue teach you a new life of love receive Christ and live forever death is defeated by the alpha and Omega Christ the king of souls all of us can be justified by faith in Him and what He did for us on the cross it will never be undone receive it and be glad it's good news

@@doctorwebman Hey bud I appreciate you I'm saying that it's ok if you don't know for sure bud - I'm telling you this out of love and without a revelation of Jesus as the truth then my words are far from you but I assure you He is exactly who He says He is and the way you find out is through seeking the truth - He was/is God in the flesh and I coming back just like He said He would all the prophecies are coming true - Her made us right with God the free gift is Jesus Christ - being born again is through repentance and faith just ask God to reveal Himself to you with a sincere open heart and live for the truth , whatever reservation you have God understands He is God after all and loves you and formed you in the womb you are a miracle of His wonder fearfully and beautifully made - ! For the sake of argument ask God to forgive you in prayer ask to be forgiven and ask Christ to be your savior and trust Him let it all go to God and receive eternal life He is waiting for you to love and embrace you're eternal love and life His name is Jesus Christ He wont fail you if you are sincere and ask Him - Even if you dont understand it ,its ok just receive Him and then let Christ reveal himself to you ! It's amazing the Love of Christ is amazing
