Thanksgiving is a holiday where many American families get together and celebrate together giving thanks to the pilgrims of the Plymouth colony. Basically, Plymouth was founded right by Cape Cod, Massachusetts and there were local Indians there and they had some problems with another tribe. So the Plymouth colony decided to help out this group of Native Americans and ended up defeating e other group. Showing thanks, the two groups had a dinner together which formed he holiday of Thanksgiving. It's celebrated the 3rd Thursday of every November
