That's a good question. I'd say the longest trains were the ones that were 9,000 to 10,000 feet in length coming off of the Fostoria District. The manifest trains that come off of that route and come through town tend to be quite long.
True indeed; on CN many of the mainline trains are now up to 2 miles in length, and NS has a few on their system as well though they're much more common on other railroads such as CP and CSX along with CN.

N&W475 I've seen CN run up to 2 mile long trains and ns likes to run to 2 mile trains also
