Lee was a CIA contractor through and through. He was told to fake a shot at General Walker so he could claim to be left wing and return to Russia via Cuba where he had a small assignment to deliver. He probably fired the only shot that missed JFK as he was instructed then realised he was the patsy when others fired as well. On both occasions he told Marina what to do if he was in jail or prison or dead because he knew there were risks.
Honestly, the most suspicious thing of Oswald's history, for me is when he was given (by Soviet standards), a pretty upscale apartment while he was working in Minsk, incl. a higher salary, this arrangement just doesn't make sense unless he was there for other purposes aside from defecting and integrating in to Soviet society.

In that time there have been some bizarre and outlandish theories put forward (which can mostly be easily debunked). But there is also a vast ocean of material that shows it's utterly certain that the US public was never given even a fraction of the whole story. I would point anyone towards the work produced by Douglas Horne (of the ARRB), Barry Krusch, Steven Airhart, Fletcher Prouty, or John Armstrong, or the story of Victoria Adams who worked in the TSBD, or Plausible Denial by Mark Lane, or the life story of E. Howard Hunt and James Jesus Angleton - and especially the historical timeline of the copies of the Zapruder film, which is far more intricate and, frankly, disturbing, than the standing story that old Abe sold his one single copy to Time-Life and that was the only one there was (check out Douglas Horne's 5-volume AARB work to delve into that). Or the fascinating (and again disturbing) story of what happened to the Nix family when it tried to revcover Orville's home movie in the decades following the shooting (read the book by Gayle Nix-Jackson). Every one of those sources (plus a thousand others) will fail to give you the final answer, but will convince anyone whose not utterly incapable of rational thought that there was far more to the story than Warren allowed. I remind American friends of the "lone nut" camp that several characters who were personally implicated in the events surrounding JFK's demise were the very same men who later were involved as the "Plumbers" (and their organisers) as part of the Watergate conspiracy. And that tens of thousands of witness/evidence documents are still classified even now, 50 years later - Oswald's school and tax records for instance - to protect.... who? Those few things alone should be enough to make a reasonable person accept that it's VERY foolish to stand on the ramparts and shout "Oswald dunnit and conspiracy theorists are mad pinko nutcases". That enormous weight of alternative evidence means there is at least a CHANCE that more than Oswald alone was involved. It can't all be "co-incidence" or "lies" - much of it is provable fact. The lone shooter theorie is clean and sensible. In fact to deny it requires a massive group of conspirators in Dallas that day...including regular citizens, police, coworkers, eye witnesses and more. Boy hundreds in Dallas came together to frame Oswald, if he wasnt the shooter. Its the only story that makes sense.

(Please read the whole thing first before responding) Oswald being a primary suspect while also not being a suspect at all is totally conceivable because Oswald was a CIA agent. He had been working for the CIA, unknowingly set up to be the assassin. This is a fact. He had defected to Russia the previous year where he worked as a radar operator. He then was ordered and paid to come back and stay in New Orleans, where he was duped/manipulated into carrying out missions that were basically him digging his own grave, instructed to hand out communist pamphlets etc. (Hands Off Cuba) make him seem like a communist, set himself up as the "killer". There were easily at least three or four other gunmen as proven by the HSCA years later. It's inconceivable that a lone gunman in the TSBD at the 6th floor corner window is responsible for killing the President. Way, way too many inaccuracies in the story, not to mention the impossibility given the location, and the type of gun. The Warren Commission was a conspiracy from start to finish. The type of gun, the duration between gunfire, the location of the sniper's nest in the TSBD, the contradictory witnesses that were silenced after testifying, all the witnesses, conspirators and CIA agents involved that expressed admission of a conspiracy and subsequently killed. The forged autopsy. The contradictory testimonies of Parkland doctors. The evidence spans out for decades. It's unreal how obviously conspired it was. And, there's tons of footage and even a recording of the shots that was taken from one of the police officers on the motorcade, sounding out at least 5 shots, a few of which are close together and refute the possibility that all shots came from one Carcano rifle. The reason why a "patsy" exists is because, for the CIA, a cover story is just a routine part of a coup cover up. It exists to ensure that nothing of the truth can possibly come to light by congregating all the blame and pointing it at one individual. In other words, exploiting the public's most primal instincts, the cult-inclined mindset to burn a witch at the stake. It's just easier to say it was one person.

I love how the police claim to have interrogated LHO for hours, but very little in the way of notes were made. And when he was presented to the press he said that nobody had told him what this was about during "that short and sweet hearing."
I find it very odd that Lee would take the rifle out of the blanket that it was wrapped in. Why wouldn't he leave it in the blanket to obviously conceal it as he transported the rifle? Even more strange that first time marina checked on the rifle, blanket looked untouched, like the rifle could still be in there. Why would police, or whoever , ask for that rifle if they were pretty sure they had their man and his weapon?

Many of the conspiracy people simply don’t know the facts. The police went to the Paine house. They asked Marina if Lee owned a rifle. She said yes. They asked her to show them where he kept it. She led them into the garage. When they picked up the blanket and there was no rifle, Marina nearly sunk to her knees, because she knew at that time that Lee was the assassin. Oswald wrapped the rifle in brown wrapping paper and claimed the bag contained curtain rods, even though his room already had curtains. Why would he take the blanket to work? That would draw attention. The bag was easier to explain. The rifle and the brown wrapping paper found on the sixth floor contained fibers from the blanket retrieved from the Paine’s garage.

It's obvious to me that she believed Lee was capable of assassinating somebody. I think she thought he was the shooter ( or one of the shooters ) then and perhaps her first reaction was the most judicious.

That's why he was stopped by Officer Tippit. He killed Tippit and hid in a movie theater with a loaded revolver. His rifle was found on the 6th floor of the TSBD, and he had not been with coworkers watching the president go by. He was absolutely one-hundred percent guilty as hell.

Honestly, the most suspicious thing of Oswald's history, for me is when he was given (by Soviet standards), a pretty upscale apartment while he was working in Minsk, incl. a higher salary, this arrangement just doesn't make sense unless he was there for other purposes aside from defecting and integrating in to Soviet society.
It's amazing to me, given the vast amount of conflicting information and evidence which simply does not fit with the standard "lone nut" explanation, that so many people can pronounce with supreme authority and "brook no argument" certainty that Oswald acted alone, and that anyone who thinks there may have been a conspiracy is a completely insane nut job. I am not supporting any of the theories above any other, but even a vaguely rational person would conclude, having read a sufficiently balanced range of material on the shooting, that the Warren Commission version simply doesn't stack up. I wouldn't dream of putting forward a suggestion of what really happened - I just want to point out that it takes a peculiar sort of self-opinionated arrogance by anyone to pronounce that they KNOW the answer and that everyone else's opinions are garbage. I've been studying the JFK case in detail for 50 years, as a dispassionate Englishman, detached from any of the inevitable US patriotism or anti-communist rage that taints almost every pro-Warren Commission argument, as well as some of the anti-establishment paranoia that undermines the conspiracy camp. In that time there have been some bizarre and outlandish theories put forward (which can mostly be easily debunked). But there is also a vast ocean of material that shows it's utterly certain that the US public was never given even a fraction of the whole story. I would point anyone towards the work produced by Douglas Horne (of the ARRB), Barry Krusch, Steven Airhart, Fletcher Prouty, or John Armstrong, or the story of Victoria Adams who worked in the TSBD, or Plausible Denial by Mark Lane, or the life story of E. Howard Hunt and James Jesus Angleton - and especially the historical timeline of the copies of the Zapruder film, which is far more intricate and, frankly, disturbing, than the standing story that old Abe sold his one single copy to Time-Life and that was the only one there was (check out Douglas Horne's 5-volume AARB work to delve into that). Or the fascinating (and again disturbing) story of what happened to the Nix family when it tried to revcover Orville's home movie in the decades following the shooting (read the book by Gayle Nix-Jackson). Every one of those sources (plus a thousand others) will fail to give you the final answer, but will convince anyone whose not utterly incapable of rational thought that there was far more to the story than Warren allowed. I remind American friends of the "lone nut" camp that several characters who were personally implicated in the events surrounding JFK's demise were the very same men who later were involved as the "Plumbers" (and their organisers) as part of the Watergate conspiracy. And that tens of thousands of witness/evidence documents are still classified even now, 50 years later - Oswald's school and tax records for instance - to protect.... who? Those few things alone should be enough to make a reasonable person accept that it's VERY foolish to stand on the ramparts and shout "Oswald dunnit and conspiracy theorists are mad pinko nutcases". That enormous weight of alternative evidence means there is at least a CHANCE that more than Oswald alone was involved. It can't all be "co-incidence" or "lies" - much of it is provable fact. As famously said, there is none so blind as he who cannot see - or will not.

Oswald being a primary suspect while also not being a suspect at all is totally conceivable because Oswald was a CIA agent.
He had been working for the CIA, unknowingly set up to be the assassin. This is a fact. He had defected to Russia the previous year where he worked as a radar operator. He then was ordered and paid to come back and stay in New Orleans, where he was duped/manipulated into carrying out missions that were basically him digging his own grave, instructed to hand out communist pamphlets etc. (Hands Off Cuba) make him seem like a communist, set himself up as the "killer". There were easily at least three or four other gunmen as proven by the HSCA years later.
It's inconceivable that a lone gunman in the TSBD at the 6th floor corner window is responsible for killing the President. Way, way too many inaccuracies in the story, not to mention the impossibility given the location, and the type of gun.
The Warren Commission was a conspiracy from start to finish. The type of gun, the duration between gunfire, the location of the sniper's nest in the TSBD, the contradictory witnesses that were silenced after testifying, all the witnesses, conspirators and CIA agents involved that expressed admission of a conspiracy and subsequently killed. The forged autopsy. The contradictory testimonies of Parkland doctors. The evidence spans out for decades. It's unreal how obviously conspired it was.
And, there's tons of footage and even a recording of the shots that was taken from one of the police officers on the motorcade, sounding out at least 5 shots, a few of which are close together and refute the possibility that all shots came from one Carcano rifle.
The reason why a "patsy" exists is because, for the CIA, a cover story is just a routine part of a coup cover up. It exists to ensure that nothing of the truth can possibly come to light by congregating all the blame and pointing it at one individual. In other words, exploiting the public's most primal instincts, the cult-inclined mindset to burn a witch at the stake. It's just easier to say it was one person.

Those in search of a straightforward answer tend to get frustrated and fall back on the only simple answer out that has been proffered even if it is incorrect: Lee Oswald in the Texas Schoolbook Depository with the Mannlicher-Carcano.

I love how the police claim to have interrogated LHO for hours, but very little in the way of notes were made. And when he was presented to the press he said that nobody had told him what this was about during "that short and sweet hearing."
I find it very odd that Lee would take the rifle out of the blanket that it was wrapped in. Why wouldn't he leave it in the blanket to obviously conceal it as he transported the rifle? Even more strange that first time marina checked on the rifle, blanket looked untouched, like the rifle could still be in there. Why would police, or whoever , ask for that rifle if they were pretty sure they had their man and his weapon?

She led them into the garage. When they picked up the blanket and there was no rifle, Marina nearly sunk to her knees, because she knew at that time that Lee was the assassin. Oswald wrapped the rifle in brown wrapping paper and claimed the bag contained curtain rods, even though his room already had curtains. Why would he take the blanket to work? That would draw attention. The bag was easier to explain. The rifle and the brown wrapping paper found on the sixth floor contained fibers from the blanket retrieved from the Paine’s garage.

Hang on a second, why on earth would lee even have his own rifle at ruth paine's residence and michael paine working for the CIA at the time, these are all facts and true ,so to me it looks like lee was set up as apasty by the CIA full stop and if you think about how hard it is for well trained current snipers to shoot at moving targets at training, then you know its impossible to hit jfk in the head while moving with a ww2 surplus ammo and also with a misaligned scope to the point when the FBI tested the rifle they found out the scope was at least 4" to high and 4" to much to the right in adjustments, plus they had to put 3 metal shims under the scope just to make it line up with the end of the barrel and this is the rifle they said was used to shoot jfk in the back of the head while the car was driving downhill and away from you, even a currently trained marine scout sniper if given the rifle as it was and ask him to try to shoot at 100 yards at a moving target and hit the head, i bet my life he will never hit it even if he tried with 3 shots full stop?

He was seen on the 6th floor of the TSBD not long before the assassination. A man fitting his description was seen in the south-east 6th floor window of the TSBD at the time of the shooting. That's why he was stopped by Officer Tippit. He killed Tippit and hid in a movie theater with a loaded revolver. His rifle was found on the 6th floor of the TSBD, and he had not been with coworkers watching the president go by. He was absolutely one-hundred percent guilty as hell.
