Best places to shop for games in Japan are in either Tokyo Osaka or Kyoto from either Hardoff Bookoff Hobbyoff Traders Suragaya Thrift stores or Sweet Potato seen all from all 1980-Now
8:23 - That girl, Tokai Teio, is from a mobile game/anime/multimedia franchise named "Uma Musume Pretty Derby". Most people just call it "Umamusume" or just "Horse Derby". I don't know anything about it besides the fact that the girls are horses, and the horses are girls.... or something...
You’re epic Paul. I think you should bring back the endcard you used for an episode of F&D a while back. Your vids seem to end pretty abruptly. I know some people just like it that way, but having that couple of seconds at the end with links to the subscribe button and/or other videos really does make a difference. Just a suggestion, can’t wait to see more!
I like a good end card, and outro, but I’m doing some experimenting with completion rates and how that effects views. Nearly all my subscribers are from my shorts feed, so my long form content is basically like I’m posting content on a brand new page. Most of what im doing is fighting for every other view so that I can justify making long form content. Right now it takes 50x as long to make one of these videos, and I’m getting 1/10 the amount of views as a short. To be completely honest a lot of this is all testing and learning
@@ThePaulWeberI’m glad you’re experimenting, and it looks like it’s paying off so far! I’ve seen steady growth on this channel and that’s really great to see. You’re right that completion rate is a huge factor for growth with the current algorithm, though I would still say you should consider audience retention methods like endcards and in-video links once you’ve finished collecting completion rate data. Getting people to watch all the way through is important, but getting them to watch even more of your videos and stay updated on your new uploads is important as well I love all your vids, and I hope you keep seeing that growth!
It’s the art half the time that makes me pick it up. And these pick ups I mostly went in mostly blind, wasn’t sure if I could play it or not until later so I just gambled
I don’t fully understand your question. Most of the games that are retro and in Japanese stay that way. It’s more of a recent development that games are region free and buying a Japanese version may have an English translation
That intro sequence was gold! Seems like you’re having a great time in Japan; loving the vids as always!
Thank you, I thought I’d have some fun with it.

I'm not into retro gaming but somehow i really enjoy listening to you talk about it lol
Hey, thanks! I feel like I’m passionate yet accessible, and I’m happy you watched!
Production value sky rocketed
🙏🏼
Love the new intro. I need to make my way to Japan one day.
It’s a great trip

Thanks! That’s exactly what I was looking for

Galaga 88 is top tier, good pickup there. I've got one Wii U Japanese exclusive myself, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars.
Hey, 👋🏼, I got tipping stars too, picked it up at a department store in Okinawa 5 years ago, it’s a good pickup, now I just need to mod my Wii U
We need a collection of all these cool
Jackets you have!
They are mostly Chalk Line jackets. They make a lot of wrestling, gaming, and nerdy jackets
Thx for the experience, appreciate it.
My pleasure
new intro is crazy
Thank you. I low key think it’d be funny to keep pouring time into the intro until it’s 9 minutes of intro, and 30 seconds of game huntingz 😅
Love the new intro!
I thought I should do an anime intro for akiharbara
So cool!!!
We love u 🥰 Paul Weber 🎉🎉
Thanks! 🙏🏼 spread love, it’s the Brooklyn way
Just watched Star Virgin (1988)! Thanks!
It looks fun, I ended up researching it after. I lowkey want it, but maybe for less than $150z 😅
I dont need this, i wont be able to play it, but it looks cool......ill pick it up.

Will you visit 1up retro in Sacramento
Maybe if I’m in Sacramento, I still have some spots in San Jose I need to go to, I could hit those then see what’s in Sacramento
It's okay, you can mispronounce Akihabara like everyone else.
Do they translate to english
