I remember back when I was in junior high and high school we would sell pigs for 60 cents a pound go out and catch several a night with dogs and had some homemade traps made from hog panel and t posts we would catch a few with them as well!! Made good money in our eyes being kids!!
What county are you in? (native Texan wants to know, ya know?) Looks like ya got a Jager Pro too. Oh! you ain't never done this have you? This oughta be interesting. Gettin' 'em in is one thing; keepin' 'em in is a whole nuther thing! Your 'helper' needs some basic instruction. He wasn't even at the trailer! Sheesh!
❤Wow, I just rolled up on your video. Fun to watch and a good deed done. I'm in Sunny Southwest ,Fl and there are soooo many wild hogs. Tearing up new housing devolopments, I live on a golf course and those hogs are havin a hay day. I saw 12 pigglets n mama in the IKEA parking lot, they are everywhere.
Haven't been here forever was down a different Rabbit hole for awhile, have been thinking about I hadn't been here that should get back to your channel then all of a sudden the Mullet ends up on my feed so now it's time to get caught up again
I didn’t even know that people bought wild pigs!!! I thought that anyone that caught a wild pig would just butcher it themselves and eat what they wanted and maybe have some to friends!!! I’d definitely say that it would be worth getting a big hog trap and after catching so many to pay for the trap the rest would just be pocket change and help to buy the corn for baiting the pig trap up to get them to come in!!! It could definitely be some fun also but here in Iowa we don’t have any wild pigs running around tearing up are ground either!!!! Awesome view and great info also for every one to know that didn’t have any idea about selling wild pigs!!! It is to bad that the prices aren’t still like they used to be because I’m sure more land owners would be catching pigs and selling them to help get the population down so that they don’t end up taking over everything!!! A buddy of mine that I went to school with his mom goes down to Texas probably a half a dozen different times a year and has dogs that are trained to hunt the pigs down!!! She absolutely loves hunting the pigs with her dogs for sure!!! She alarmed raises dogs to hunt the pigs and sells the dogs!!! By raising the dogs for hunting the pigs helps her fund her to be able to go down every month also!!!!
Great video. I didn’t know that was legal. I think you’d get more return on payed hunts or selling whole hogs. Providing that’s legal. More work but probably 3 times the amount of money.
It's illegal NOT to hunt and kill feral hogs. But, the Nation Wildlife Federation makes an exception: you cannot hunt and kill pigs inside of police precincts!
@ I didn’t know that it was leagal to sell wild game meat. I can’t fish or hunt deer in Iowa and sell the meat. That’s what I’m basing my legality portion on.
Another amazing video! I feel like if someone wanted to get into just selling pigs the ROI could be ok have a few starting investments. I was wondering what shoes you’re wearin? I like a good moc boot and liked the lighter soles on yours!
Like the info but hard to see the value time you buy traps trailer feed two hundred for 7 hogs with an average weekly even at 10 it’s two years before you recover your investment. 50 lb bag corn run from $10 to $17. You would need a holding pen to corn out under weight. You still would be adding to the debt more time and trouble. 90 days to corn one out that’s lots of corn even purchased by the ton. Then trap savvy hogs by the end of 90 days lucky to catch two a week. Not counting escaping or parish 80 hogs in three months maximum $2400 watering feeding daily.
@ no catch and feed out 80 hogs for 90 days is only a profit of $1000 dollars averaging 100 lbs each. As the months go you will catch less due to hogs get trap savvy. But possibly sell 80 your first 90 days. You are still out the price for traps cost for building a pen why it takes two years are more to be in the black. Basically working for free!!!
Please do not cut and let go! The destruction they do is devastating to hay fields and pastures! Once they are caught once in a trap they wont go back in!
If you could butcher and package them yourself you could sell them on a website and charge top dollar for “natural and wild grown pork”. People pay good money to have meat shipped straight to them if it’s all raised natural and wild. Many farmers and ranchers are going that way now, and I even know hunters that are hunting for meat you can’t get in a grocery store to sell online. There is good money in it but you HAVE to be able to butcher, package, and ship yourself.
It awesome to see there are still sale barns buying hogs. Back in 06, i used to trap hog just to have some extra cash for hunting and fishing gear. South texas barns stop buying soon after that
Welcome to the world of hog trapping! I’ve been delivering them alive for a bit now, and realized it alone won’t pay the bills! It’s enough to cover the costs or travel and corn, so it’s worth doing. In Palo pinto county they are paying .25 a pound for 70-101 And .35 a pound for 101 and up. They were paying $10 a pop for smaller pigs, but that’s changed here recently. The trappers are now letting smaller pigs go and creating a bigger pig problem!
Do some trappers have a place where they can raise the smaller pigs to a perfect size to sell and not lose money in the process, or is it cost prohibitive. The guy in the video mentioned a bonus for 200 pounds or more, but didn’t mention if that bonus is still paid, even if it’s less.
@ a guy near me does raise them until they’re of a good size to sell. But it’s a big operation that most people don’t have the time or money for. I honestly think the state should pay a price per a head for the smaller ones so they don’t get let go
Many years ago I met a woman in Medina County who rigged up hog cages on her farm trailer. The hogs could climb up a ramp to get in where she seeded the floor with corn. They had to wind around from cage to cage and finally there was another ramp down for them to get out. After training them to eat the corn on the trailer for a week, she was able to shut the cages front and back and simply drive them to the abattoir.
Soooo, I’m curious.! Why the hell would you cut the young boar hogs and let them go instead of harvesting them.?!!!! I live/hunt in Arkansas, in the delta where hogs are a HUGE PROBLEM!! So I don’t understand!! And me watching you for all the years, it shocks me to see you gonna do that.!
If you ever want to make the drive and come to Dale Tx I am a hog buyer and we pay pretty good. 60-99 .35 cents a pound 100-149 .45 cents a pound 150-199 .55 cents a pound 200+ .60 cents a pound Same kinda of set up weigh them alive and give you check on spot. Central Texas Hog Buyers
Those are damn good prices, I'm up outside of Wichita Falls and I thought I was getting good prices but you guys are beating it by 5 cents a pound down the board.
Catching and releasing varmint pigs that destroy food crops that costs billions of dollars. Sounds like you are on the wrong side of the equation of controlling pests.
Wow. You only made $202?!?! That sucks. 100lb pig is only $25-30? I would be buying pigs from you for $60 each but then again I’m on the west coast. When I visit Texas, can I contact you for some pigs?
Awesome video. Would love to see more pig catching and selling videos.
When you gonna make a video about your dogs
Thanks man, I'm working on it!
@@MulletMan definitely a good video I’d like to see more hog catch & selling plus the whole breakdown of the sale 👍🏼 keep on keeping on brother
I remember back when I was in junior high and high school we would sell pigs for 60 cents a pound go out and catch several a night with dogs and had some homemade traps made from hog panel and t posts we would catch a few with them as well!! Made good money in our eyes being kids!!
Same here. I still have one of the blood line of catch dogs i hunted. She is to good to risk hunting her, I fixed her so I guess the lineage is done.
Fantastic video, I had never seen the sale part of the process and also didn’t know the market for these animals was in Europe. Thanks for posting
I haven’t seen a video from you in a long time!!!! Great to see you again
Like that little deviation from da norm 👍🏽 Very interesting 💯 Thanx Mike, Happy New Year 🎉
Right on! Happy New Year to you too!

Man can I pay you to give me lessons on hog trapping?
Dude I just don’t understand why half of America isn’t subscribed to you .
RUclips. That’s it. Haha!
Because half the people in this country are psychotic liberals!

Good job, love the trapping and hunting👍👍🐗🐗🐗
Appreciate it!
Awesome video Mike, thanks for sharing 🤙
Lampmans! Was a fan of theirs back when they ran the store. Had no idea they were in the pig business.
I’m diggin’ the catch, load and sell!
That was pretty cool. It is a good way to make extra cash and get rid of them at the same time. Mulletman the pig hunters.
I thought it was illegal to catch a invasive species and release back into the wild
It definitely is, people who do that are part of the problem
@Ktimms-k2m So is speeding, but we all do it from time to time.
it is but they released 2 that had been neutered
Exactly where is this legal
It's definitely not illegal in Tx
It's only illegal if they are released in another county
Easy money 💰 happy new years you guys
Now that's some smooth Hog Wranglin🎉.
Not a bad afternoons work!
JO JO IN VT 💞☃️

@@j.j.clingman4083 yeah, selling these hogs and selling hog hunts, is the reason we will never get rid of them
$202.....better off spending a few days processing all that into a year worth of sausage. $200 dont even buy half a cart of groceries nowdays.
Great video.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️
Thank you 👍
That is really cool. Helping the farmers and ranchers by getting rid of them, and making a few bucks while doing it. Great work.

Appreciate it, more coming soon!
Now why would you release a hog for? please explain. Isn't that got trap trained now learned to not go in there or will still do damage to property
Can we get an update on the rabbit dogs brotha ? 🔥content
Yessir it’s coming very soon
check out pig brig, catch 20 or 30 at a time.
Bro we should go fishing. If u come to Florida everything things on me. Have a blessed day and HAPPY NEW YEAR
It's always the same story when selling any kind of livestock, fur or farm produce. "The prices are down right now."
What’s the reason for cutting the boars and continuing to let them go?
They can’t breed and they are amazing to eat
Where is this place at that buys them hogs? I could catch 100 plus a year on my lease
Great catch
Can’t feed em corn and get them a little bigger?
Were I can buy wild pig meat? I live in Virginia.
Those barrow hogs will Do as much damage until they are eliminated as a boar or sow. They just don’t reproduce. I don’t agree with releasing them.
Down near Brenham, they don’t buy them unless they’re at least 60 lbs. Where bouts are y’all?
What brand shoes are you wearing?
Brunt
That's why you use dogs..Texas state dog, the Blue Lacy..or airedales..bear dogs..need dogs, Hollar put to Possum Kingdom
I would love to have one to put in my freezer. In Indiana we don't have any wild hogs
They coming, when they do you will wish they never did.

i’m located in texas and trap pigs where is he located?
YOU SHOULD DO MORE OF THESE VLOGS!!!
Why did you let go of those two bar pigs if they have no nuts can they still produce
How many pigs are on the Brady List?
Hola amigo feliz 225. Sigue cazando. Me gustan. Tus videos y de cocina. Eres exelente.mi amigo buena trampa. Espero q atrapes muchos
Just did the math on corn to corn out 80 hogs 90 days $1440 profit $1000 for three months.
I don’t quite understand your comment. Are you saying you spent $1000 to corn out 80 hogs for 90 days and then sold them for $1440 profit, so $2440?
@ no catch and feed out 80 hogs for 90 days is only a profit of $1000 dollars averaging 100 lbs each. As the months go you will catch less due to hogs get trap savvy. I'd do that for a living if I lived there. Better working for yourself and seems like a good idea
Please do not cut and let go! The destruction they do is devastating to hay fields and pastures! Once they are caught once in a trap they wont go back in!
Really thought it would be more per pig.

Smart lady! 👍
Here in Louisiana it’s illegal to take a wild hog out of the woods alive
Those would be $200 each in CA. Find yourself some Asian customers
I wish oklahoma would let us sell like texas.
Last time I try to trap some hog they dug their way out lol
I am watching your video after watching videos of rude Chinese tourists raiding food buffets. Your wild hogs are more civil!
Catch, load, and sell baby

Omg, I can’t watch anymore. Keystone cops.
Not a bad hustle imagine if caught 20 pigs a day
Set up 5 pens to catch pigs every week. 1000$ extra a week. 👍
What would you do if you accidentally trapped Ricky Bobby?
I’d have to let him go
like your vids but never let a hog walk . cut hogs still destroy property
So much food going to waste wild hogs plus Asian carp WHAT A waste
If you ever want to make the drive and come to Dale Tx I am a hog buyer and we pay pretty good.

Planning is Not yalls strong suit
You shouldn't let any of them go with the damage that they cause
I sent you a DM on instagram with the info about hog transpiration in Texas
