Battle Bunny Haze It's because many people play Riven few games to learn the really really low-level basics, and then are basically unbeatable anywhere below Gold 5, and the people who think Riven needs no skill are wrong because they play at such a low elo, when its not about the opponent its about the bad player itself. But those who master Riven can really easily snowball and carry in higher elo. I agree with you.

they dont know how to deal with her ;) since riven is a "perfekt" champion on the paper. High mobility, high burst, tankyness through items/shield, good early/mid and late game and not THAT hard to play for beginners(but hard to master i guess? idk , i never play riven D:). Its the same thing with yi and kata in low elo. Just because a champ has huge damage doesnt mean he is op(veigar says hi). The answer for the perfect riven coznter is the same as the answer for the perfect counter for every champ in the game , cc~ Except for gp, our 1 true god(praise him). Just want to comment on this, even tho it's been almost 6 years I still come to this video because it was the reason I became a Riven main and ummm... Yeah that's pretty much it I have a milli points on her now and I don't play the game anymore but at the time it was really an inspiration seeing this vid (ngl I did underestimate how hard it would be to master her)

Artur Gomes But Kata's ult can be stopped by any cc and it doesnt burst down tanks with some mres. Meanwhile vayne deals true damage based on max health - armor doesnt counter it, hp stacking only makes you get more damage on da face. Then comes the new Darius with +200 ad from passive, titanic hydra and full tank still ultying for 1k true dmg. Or new Fiora actually bursting people for 100% of their max hp just by ult+passive. Tell me more about how Riven is "unblanced", "bullshit" and "easy" champ.
if the shield didnt scale with ad, riven would get deleted by any champion that could survive her qqqwr basically as soon as he gets out of cc. riven to be effective must build plain damage, so if you played against eg. a shyvana, you wouldnt be able to win any trade at all. Or darius, QWR-death.
Im not saying its weak, im saying it's just enough. its 3.6 sec cd, but takes 1.5 sec, so there is still a gap where you can burst her down. besides, it doesnt have that big scaling that it cant be forced down. at full build it goes to maybe 500-600, which is to be burnt with basically lowest poke skill of an apc.

actually in my 3rd game i went mid into fizz and got fed as fuck to the point where i ulted > w > aa > hydra everyone die before I activate my ult again

I don't see why people complain about him being above average, or not. Riven mechanics, to be honest, aren't hard to learn. Maybe learning fast q animation cancel can be hard to get used to, and of course the wall jump locations, but it's all quite easy after that. What makes a good riven player after learning these mechanics is that they know how much DMG they do, and when to do XX at XX point. This ALLOWS these 'fancy' plays to be made. And of course, this Riven ain't gonna be equal to top tier Rivens ( he might be, who knows ) but you shouldn't say that he's copying other famous Riven players. Most people main one to two champions, and Riven isn't made just for BoxBox or BRNA to play, it's a champion open to everyone. If someone wants to main Riven, they'll main Riven and eventually get good at her (hopefully). Just my thoughts :c

+Blackjax137 i tried her out for the first when i was bronze time, played againist TONS of silence (garen old kassadin old soraka) and still got a 1v5 penta by just mashing qwer with a keybord that went out in the middle of the fight. people... sh*t i offended everyone in the world who doesnt main riven... things like you just mash buttons kill everyone and then pretend to be skilled when in reallity you went 0/15 then get a kill and proceed to snowball.

Riven , the only reason why this trash champ was not yet nerfed enough is because Riot wants a champion that can go full ad, that needs no brain to play but hard to master that also has a big ass sword , instead they just beat around the bush and reduce her ultimate travel speed , because yeah that's the problem with her... And even worse than the champion is the player's attitude : "I hit every ability on you because it is impossible to miss and you have no way to avoid that , unless you flashed , so you are noob and I am pro" . God , people will start telling me how retarded or how bronze I am for saying this , so I will say one last thing , you can't ignore the amount of time it takes to master Riven , to learn to cancel animations perfectly , but that will become a habbit , it will remain in muscle memory so then there will be no more risk to playing Riven , you can't fail with her and the enemy has no say in this matter because she's packed with aoe stuns and knock-ups with no cooldowns at all and she has enough damage to kill you in a second. TL;DR : Riven players are trash.

VenikH - Gamer so basically there's two parts to Qing on Riven. The first part is simply making sure to Q right after your auto attack has gone through, cancelling the end lag of the auto attack. The second, and more difficult part is clicking away right after you Q (issuing a move command) so that the end lag of your Q is cancelled as well. For an example, one auto would be Q, click away, click target, Q again, repeat.

If you have the time to master her. Riven is a really hard champion and you need to practice a lot to be useful with her ( animation cancel, fast q combo, etc ) but if you learn you become really good with her and can snowball games pretty hard. If you would like someone that doesn't take hours of practice go for wukong.

I miss the old fast Riven ult so much I mean cmon the current slow one just looks stupid. The old one looks so cool and stylish - it just doesnt matter if you make a shit play or a good play; with the fast ult everything looks fucking awesome. I got a question concerning animation cancelling : If you cancel your ult animation by using the third q proc, do you press r and then spam q or use q and then press r ? I can't get it either way...

Doffblock Depends on which champ you have to face in the laning fase, but start Ravenous Hydra always
Doffblock Usually you want Brutalizer, if you want to roam go cdr boots, if you think the lane favours you you can go pick axe/vamp scepter into tiamat/hydra, then boots after hydra you can usually get LW/hexdrinker/BT, but always choose what to buy after what you are going to need in that specific game/next play/lane etc. Some times black cleaver/bloodthirster/maw/qss/mercs/ or even IE can be the best buy. Other times GA, thornmail, randuins, banshees or spirit visage might be better. All depends on how you play riven. If you are good at doing clutch plays you can go extremely glass cannon and still stay ahead, if you like playing safer you can always go for lifesteal+cdr+ armorpen then a GA/Banshees. Bruiser Riven can be really good at peeling for team and keeping adc safe vs champions like pantheon/lb/ekko etc. The most consistent way to play Riven is fairly defensive agressive, let them overextend and then capitalize. After a bit of practice you get this feeling when they are inside your killzone, which is especially easy to notice when playing vs bad players. They walk all up in that zone :P.

people who are talking about riven being op are whining about the wrong thing here, these are all late-game "i'm 6+/0/0 and 5-6 levels above the people i'm killing in the clips" clips.. no actual skill represented, just showing off that when he's fed he can do well.

I've recently started picking up Riven, just to see how she plays. As much as Riven mains can make me mad at times I have great respect for their shill and dedication to her. Could anyone help me out with her? I feel like I know the basics of her kit, AA animation canceling a bit. But I can never kill anyone. Any help or video or anything with some tips would be more than appreciated. Thanks in advance!
