My favorite LOTR trivia Peter Jackson was directing Christopher Lee for Saurman’s death scene saying “Grima will stab you in the back you yell out and collapse” or something like that. Lee advised Jackson he would not be able to yell out if he was stabbed in the lung stating "Have you any idea what kind of noise happens when somebody’s stabbed in the back? Because I do." Peter acknowledged citing that Lee was in Britain's Special Air Service during the war, and would not divulge further on how he knows that particular detail.
Fun facts! Another is that when Boromir first held the shards of Narsil, he cut his finger with the blade, and said "Still sharp." Earlier, the actor, Sean Bean, had made a commercial for a razor blade, and had the same line!
I read somewhere that during a travel by helicopter, two naughty Hobbits (guess which ones), knowing how much Sean hated flying, asked the pilot to do some stunts just to scare him off.
The one fact I still have a hard time believing is that Sam is not gay and isnt in love with Frodo; he acts just like someone who is head over heels in love and would do anything to protect them.
1:11 Adding to this, the two became so acquainted that Tolkien gave Lee his blessing to play Gandalf, which became a point of contention with Peter Jackson who specifically wanted him for Saruman
A Kiwi here I am a co-owner of a sheep ranch a large one just south of ChCh of the Waikeri Valley. Two tidbits I'm surprised didn't make this list = (1) Viggo and many of the cast members well known to come into town wearing mostly or full makeup rigs and head over to The Bog a very favorite hang of ours as they thought it quite fun to terrify tourists and make them laugh. Viggo quite know to carry that "real" sword and brandish it about yelling all sorts of the crazy yank things till the local Bobs had to ask him to stop it. (2) Also Viggo know to be quite smitten with a Rider of the Rohheririm a South Island Lady with her own horse dressed in rig and beard to look like a man and nope. Quite a looker. She was pretty hot as I recall. The Mauri who are NOT known to hang in town yet did so as they were asked to and they were grand fun mates as they came into The Bog and guzzled down their brews. It was all just in great fun. No harm done or meant. Mauri do not often at all hang into town as that's where they get into the beefs and wind up in gaol from a smasher but the locals protected them so the fool idiot tourists wouldn't fuck with them too much as that can lead to very bad things with them. FAR too many of our native Mauri wind up to prison terms from a combination of booze and idiot tourists taunting them and they learn fast that's not a wise idea. That's it. Just a toss here from fun memories.
@@Donathon-f6f I believe Justified was originally a short story that was turned into a series, that makes sense. I keep hearing rumblings about a Rendezvous with Rama movie, but it needs to be a well planned out TV series lasting several seasons. Sometimes they do a good adaptation and sometimes its bad but it can not be the same.
7 was really enlightening..now, am I telling the truth or just messing around. If I'm messing around is it because it's true and I don't want you to know or just playing silly buggers.

Thought to be a reference to Sean Bean's character as Richard Sharpe in the television series.
I thought almost all thing like movie weapons vases nad things are made of hard rubber.😲

Such a fantastic trio of movies! Nothing had caused this much excitement in movie fans since the original star wars movies.

Went to some of the sites on my trip to New Zealand. Best vacation ever!
I'm too tall the hobbit house is not one of my vacay hot spots.
Anyone who has watched the Appendices pretty much knows all this.
Good video. Learned some stuff
Thanks!

Another fun fact is that the 9 actors that played the 9 characters of the fellowship all have a 9 tattooed somewhere on their persons,
I heard it's actually the Elvish character for the number nine.
John Rhys Davies had his stunt double get one, declining a tattoo himself. There were 9 received, though!
🤣🤣😂😂😅😅 so nice thx

I"m One thousand ........Score!
The Lord of the rings by J. R. R. Tolkien is a book.
The films are something very different
Yep... should have said 'inspired' by Tolkien ❤😊

100% spot on...
The films are obviously not a book.....
The Oscar should have gone to 1st film
N
The first five are all well known. I am not going to watch the rest.

The mistake was giving the final film the Best Picture Oscar, when it’s actually the second film that is by far the best in the series.
The third film might still be the best of th year, while there was an even better film the year before.
I thought Fellowship was the best of the trilogy. I'd have given all 3 best picture.
@@maxpiemuse9584Same. All 3 films should have won best picture.
Nerd rensasone fair
What’s weird? Bloody clickbait
