I’ve been an evangelist for Harley Benton for a few years now. A dear friend, who since passed away, was what I call a “proper” musician, not a fumbling amateur like me…he had about 60 guitars of various types, formats and quality, and about 15 were by H.B. I now own three H.B guitars, an electro- acoustic parlour guitar I got for £90 (I live in the U.K.), a matt- black telecaster copy with 2 hum buckers for £80, and an HB35 Plus, in frosted Green with gold-plated hardware and an arresting orange finish to the back of the neck an body. She cost me (and my long- suffering partner who went halves with me as a Christmas present) £219.00. Average delivery time from Germany to North Yorkshire is seven days. I love all my H.B guitars, and I’m glad to see you putting yours to such great use!

Iv'e played for 30+ years. I've had all sorts of expensive guitars over the years (Patrick Eggle, Washburn, Jackson, Ibanez etc) . I now own 7 HBs ( bass and guitars) after "discovering " them about 4 years. They are my "everyday" guitars for gigging and recording. I even sold my Ibanez Prestige as it was covered in dust as my Fusion 3 took its place. They are amazing, and I'm baffled why people pay treble the amount for a "named" instrument. My money goes on good effects, tuners, cables and amps now.

Hello! Congratulations on your guitar. I am thinking of buying one myself. Although I am in a great deal of pain in choosing a color and an AMP for it. (I'd appreciate any advice on that as well). Anyways, my question is, did it come with some sorts of tools that allowed you to do the adjustments, or have you had to use your own tools? I mean lowering the bridge, pick-ups and dealing with thrust rod. Thanks in advance!

Thank you! These are Great Guitars! Color is purely a personal thing....this was the color that I preferred...and had to wait for a short time for it to come back in stock. Amplifiers are also a very personal thing depending on many things. Modeling Amps (or that style of digital amp) are becoming much better in emulating a tube amp, which is what I prefer, but use many plug-ins when recording. I like to use a clean amp with pedals for my overdiven or distorted guitar tones....some will use a tube amp on the verge of break-up using an overdrive pedal to push the amp harder into tube overdrive. There is the Marshal Sound, (a few "flavors" of tone there depending on how much gain you want) couple of different Fender sounds, Vox sound, etc. Many of the Modeling Amp style will give you most of these in one place. That is one benefit for going that route. Power needs are another consideration. Is this amp only going to be for home practice? A small 5 or 10 watt amp will be fine. On stage Performance will need a lot more volume to carry the sound out to your audience and play over the drummer. Listen to your favorite Guitar Players and the sounds that you like from them...and then try to find out what they are using for amplification.

I've been happily playing my cherry lefty HB35 plus since December 2021. Out of the box, the set up was just right for me, 4/64" at the 12th fret on the high E and 5/64" on the low E. No fret buzz. It's just a great R&B machine.

Thanks much! Glad to hear that you are still happily Rocking' yours! This one wasn't terrible by any means, but it needed a turn or two on the truss rod (it had zero tension on it...and I like less relief on the necks of my guitars) & lowering the pickups a little helped to get them more to my liking.

Corvallis... very cool.. my son is a sophomore at OSU... love that little city... and it's shocking how fast stuff comes from them.. I bought one if their 212 cabinets with the celestions in it.. it took right about 1 week.. I've had stuff shipped from 3 states away take longer than that..

What do I think of lemon-drop? Beautiful, and I own one. The only thing I have changed is the bridge for an all-brass one. The price, around $90, is high compared to the price of the guitar, but the result is a perceptably better tone.

Maybe you should have got the PRS SE standard hollow body very light weight and narrow across the body. With a Jazzy tone. Harley Benton does provide excellent products and service. Nicely recorded and the guitar sounds good.

Thanks Paul! Did you watch the video? I got the Harley Benton CST-24HB and have been happily using it for the past 3 years! Price to feature set the H.B. is a winner ($205.00 delivered! ...at the time I got it) and I love the way it feels, looks and sounds! I'm sure the PRS is nice, but it still isn't the same as the ES335 styling that I have been missing a little (this was $308.00 delivered!). Play LOTS, my Friend!
