Tre showing his comic book acumen and knowledge and Tasha with the dry humor and whimsy making these reactions dope
What a great summary as to why I love this channel! TY!
Tre is the Wikipedia king
tbh norman osborn always had waves, so this family ethnicity switch was destined to happen eventually (shocked that it took this long) 😭💀
Nico minoru (aka sister Grimm)a very powerful witch and she had her own show called the runaways and she has been in midnight sun so I am exited that they bought her back in the mcu
Hudson’s comment about “not being woke” was extra stupid to me, because this is easily the “wokest” thing Marvel has ever done, and it’s one of the best parts of the show. That stuff with Lonnie on the subway and walking home? Come on now. That’s good content, YFNSM
@jasonmarbach
Imo, I think people use 'woke' when being 'woke' is the sales pitch
It's like if a person that is pretty racist person goes "I'm not racist I have a (insert here) friend"
But now it's the phobs/ists goes "see? (Insert here) in our show we dont mind you guys in charater roles"
It's not woke because the characters have traits beyond just being a checklist.
Nah, nobody that’s used the word unironically in the last 5-6 years has ever, ever had any genuine ethos behind it. The term has long been co-opted and, for years now, has only really meant “this thing has diversity of a racial/gender/sexual preference nature and I’m a stupid cis mayonnaise-colored btch who’s mad about that.” Anyone who says otherwise is lying, to themselves and to the rest of us.

Nah I’m sorry, bullsht. Nobody gets to pretend like “woke” has (since it was co-opted by the dumbest, most evil people alive, anyway) any meaning to those who use it other than “this thing has diversity and I, a brainless, soulless mayonnaise person, am mad about that.”
I knew Tre would know who Lonnie is!
Loved the first 2 episodes of YFNSM.
Shoutout to Coleman Domingo that voice can’t be mistaken. I like how the show gives you calls to recent Spider-Man movies and comics and does it in its own universe
I love the fact they made peter have a type of girl in the mcu😏😂
What
@ black girls 😂(Liz in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Mj in No Way Home and now pearl in this show)
Super Cool start for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!!
I will say this, the showrunner and executive producer of this show, Jeff Trammel worked on “Craig of the Creek”, one of the blackest shows to date. In the vast Multiverse that is Marvel this is meant to be its own universe despite originally being a prequel to the “Home” series. Between the pedigree of Trammell, the base of the “Home” movie series, Marvel’s progressive history in general and being a show of today, people should know it’s modern and diverse. Plus that adds new perspectives and storylines that make great entertainment. For those who know all these specific facts but choose to fall back on the “woke” copout please do everyone a favor and don’t watch this show. But if you consider yourselves comic fans, Marvel fans, or Spider-Man fans, this is a treat for you and the merits of the show being a hit and/or well received will be based off of whether or not it’s a good show or not, rather than it’s depiction of life reflected ever so accurately.☝🏾🤓❤️😉

Seeing Lonnie with his great family I was like 'damn, another beautiful black family about to suffer some tragedy.' I really liked the show overall and how we didn't just focus on Peter but other characters.
Great first episode.
Come on, we all knew Norman was secretly black. I mean look at those waves😂😂
I want spiderman 98 too, but surely there’s no way they double dip with two different Spidey shows at the same time, right? When they confirmed this show is picked up for 3 seasons I immediately said “welp, guess we don’t get spider-man 98, then”
“I’m glad you know all that.” Lol I can’t with yall 😂
Edit: sad to see some action scenes, jokes, and emotional talks edited out 😢
whole vid on patreon, first episode is free
The spider drip kinda clean, though. 😏 🕸🕷🕸
That was a very strong start. I love all these characters for now, Nico and Peter have a good chemistry, but I just KNOW she will get hurt by Peter’s multi-commitments, and it already hurt. :X
And I love the diversity and change they did to many of the characters. This show feels both “nostalgic” and completely “fresh” at the same time. XD
I rather just have a miles show....or why not just make peter black
@@Blufishii ...Because no.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 y not everyone else is black but peter gotta be white...
@@Blufishiiwhy make Peter black? If miles is there?
This show is just like a whitewashed miles Morales
@Starsdealer because they change harry and norman to black...WHY. if they were gonna do that why not just make peter black as well. Or they could of just gave us Miles show. I get annoyed when hollywood does this. Like yall change people poc Why not just change everyone if you dont orginality.
Example: little mermaid arielle was black cool but why eric still gotta be white especially if his mom in this version was black. Why not just change everyone.....
Norman and Harry being black makes full sense. They always had waves in the comics. Seriously what does it matter what color their skin is? Are they still acting and behaving like the character?
Still waiting on that 90s tas revival
So far, I'm digging what I'm seeing.
Yes, the animation style is wonky, but I'll get over it.
Colman Domingo as Norman Osborn is peeking my interest. Hudson Thames, despite his pathetically idiotic comment about being afraid of the show being "annoying and woke", is enjoyable as Peter/Spidey.
I'm also surprised at the level of fun it's having, as well as the many easter eggs throughout.
I'm curious if the batch of episodes next week and the week after that and the final 2 a week after will help the show's viewership. Then again, it got picked up for Seasons 2 & 3, so we should be fine.
Intrigued to see more.
Tre and I remain ready for #SpiderMan98 :) #MCU #Marvel #MakeMineMarvel
Its woke, but im really enjoying the show. Definitly ready to see the rest of the season.
Nothing wrong with being woke.
@@LA-cl4cc Unless the writing suffers.
I need 90,spider man to come back
