Already this show is looking great and the Steve Ditko art coming to life is so incredible. Already Captain America: Civil War as a way to start of the storyline with the same music from the film playing in the background to Norman's introduction like Tony Stark at the apartment it's just perfection. This storyline is a slightly altered timeline from the main MCU Earth-616 (Earth-199999) almost like an adjacent story. The dynamic between Peter Parker and Nico Minoru is very similar to Billy Cranston and Trini Kwan in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The introduction to Doctor Strange with the same musical score from the first film making his entrance at Midtown High School is great. If you look at the animation there is little bit of Spiderman: Unlimited style with certain characters for example Venom. I love the whole 2D mixed with 3D animation style that plays in this series.
It was originally going to be a prequel, and it was gonna tell the origin of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, but midway through. This show really surprised me. I’m so happy that the show takes the time to make you care about Peter both with and without the mask. As a huge Spidey fan I’m mixed. There’s some good stuff in these episodes but this Peter is just the same kinda mischaracterization we’ve gotten with recent adaptations where he has like no edge to him and he’s just a super nice awkward kid. Oh wow, didn't notice Invincible S3 coming out next week. 3 eps of Spider-man and the next day 3 eps of Invincible, some quality animation coming our way
Hudson Thames Peter Parker is Tom Holland's Peter Parker in this series and that's why he sounds like him as it's kind of a parallel storyline. Lonnie Lincoln's journey to Tombstone I am excited to see. Seeing that the jock is on par with Peter Parker is great.
I like that show that he had the hero in him before he got bitten. That’s what makes him special kinda like Steve Rogers was special before he got the serum.
That Lonnie scene was some real shit man. Also when Spidey brought that woman back I thought he was going to help her get a job there because of the hiring sign. But that it was still a good moment and both really encapsulate the street level and friendly neighborhood vibe.
I definitely love this double premiere and I'm loving the series so far. Aside from the Spiderverse movies, I haven't been gotten fully invested into animated Spider-Man material until now and the style of this show is very intriguing to me.
Honestly feels like they wanted to do a What If…Norman Beat Stark to the Spider. And how that shapes the narrative because everything else feels plausible in this universe. Love the vibe of the show, that scene with the thief is so important. We often see friendly neighborhood spiderman to children, or to general neighbors like the woman with the churro in homecoming. But this is the first time it’s towards a generic criminal.
I’m totally done being gaslit by these anti woke losers. They claim that art used to be non political and that artists injecting their personal politics is some new phenomenon. I decided to watch smallville on a whim and I was shocked and aghast to see that they were race swapping characters way back then. There’s even an episode where Clark harbors an illegal immigrant and even argues against his mom who wants to call the cops on him. There’s nothing wrong with artists putting themselves into their art or crafting messages. What the hell is the point of consuming art if not to experience the expression of another human being?
"Oh comics are supposed to be non-political? You mean comics like the X-Men, who were famously a metaphor for the Civil Rights movement, with Xavier as a stand-in for Dr. King and Magneto as a stand-in for Malcolm X? Or comics like Superman, created by two Jewish immigrants after WW2 to show the world what a *real* übermensch would look like? Or the ones about, i dunno, PICK A BILLIONAIRE that uses their power for the good of more than just themselves? Those are the non-political ones, right?" (this is me agreeing with you, in case the quotation marks weren't a sufficient indicator :) )
I will never understand the disdain aimed towards the "Ultimate Spider-Man" series. As a long time (Since my childhood...I'm currently 61years old), and avidly read/watch Spidey, and really enjoyed it. The naysayers are talking out their fart maker.
Want to excited got this but got my expectations blown away these first 2 episodes were genuinely great and pulled me in fast can’t wait for more of this

Epic remix! Damn i was hating on the animation when the first images came out... but this is an amazingly awesome use of comic interior art and paneling.
I like how it’s a mix of the MCU prequel show and an original show. It’s like a what if version of Tom holland’s Spider-man like what if Norman Osborne hired Peter for a internship instead of Tony
I thought this show was almost always advertised (at least the majority of the time, I do remember the early, early concept was Spiderman Freshman year and then it got changed) as a sort of "What if" Spider-man show. I remember one of the first things they said about it was "What if Peter met Norman Osborne instead of Tony Stark" in that specific scene. I personally am happy this is it's own thing with MCU touches!
I can't help but look at the art style of this show and think of the game Façade from 2005, where you're typing out things to say to this AI couple at a dinner party.

@@ptona3287 I’m saying that here he is not such a little shit. He stepped into to save that girl before he was even bitten
In the Steve ditko comic he didn't act like that before he got bitten,
He's more angsty ,selfish and has big ego in the true canon
Was it supposed to be Tony Stark? I don't remember that from Homecoming so I only expected Norman the whole time😂
I think Silk picked up the Backpack...
In this universe
John: you killed it with the dance moves during the intro 👍
Sweet old Aunt May T_T. I miss her in the movies
The animation is really charming it reminds me of a video game/comic book
It reminds me of the ultimate spiderman game
That Lonnie scene was some real shit man. Also when Spidey brought that woman back I thought he was going to help her get a job there because of the hiring sign. But that it was still a good moment and both really encapsulate the street level and friendly neighborhood vibe.
I don't care about the whiny fans are yappin about because these first two episodes where great already!
This Norman gives me spectacular vibes and i love it
Great start and cant wait for the rest of the episodes
26:39 I absolutely love this Captain America: Civil War Peter Parker introduction reference! 😁
The 90s spiderman had episodes talking about race too with tombstone and Robbie's son from the bugle
Dont fucking listen to subhuman retarded degenerate incel racebaiters who are worthless piles of burning dogshit.
Those are the non-political ones, right?"
(this is me agreeing with you, in case the quotation marks weren't a sufficient indicator :) )
Exactly 💯
I will never understand the disdain aimed towards the "Ultimate Spider-Man" series.
As a long time (Since my childhood...I'm currently 61years old), and avidly read/watch Spidey, and really enjoyed it.
The naysayers are talking out their fart maker.
Want to excited got this but got my expectations blown away these first 2 episodes were genuinely great and pulled me in fast can’t wait for more of this
I didn’t know this was out already until you guys posted. So I went to Disney + and watched before continuing this video and I can see myself enjoying this show further. Excited to see the journey of this show with you guys!
OMG !! its da F4 reacting to Spidey!! 😂
The animation style is still really weirding me out and some characters changes I like more than others, but there's more cameos and easter eggs than I thought! I recognize the name Lonnie Lincoln as a certain character for example!
I love how they remixed both old school spiderman themes...intro and the credit theme.
Love that this show reminds me of the old Spider Man shows from 60’s - 80’s. Really fun nostalgic throwback
Bentley Whittman is the Wizard from the Frightful Four in the comics.
Butane reminds me of Scorcher from Untold Tales of Spider-Man #1.
Like if you wanna see this universe’s spider-man in spider verse ‼️‼️
Love it . Man I just wanna tell yall my marvel routine …. Watch it ….. then watch your guys reaction video …. Then jump to new rock stars … been doing this for years
22:25 Notice how Nico waves at Peter but his attention is on Pearl.
Really enjoying this Spider-Man show so far
35:53 Fun Fact: Jeanne Foucalt is a superhero named Finesse, who has photographic reflexes, the same ability that Taskmaster has.
Yeah idc what people are saying about this show, I like it so far. I just hope that the backlash doesn’t prevent this show from having another season
Shills are gonna shill eh shilly?
Lets gooo been waiting for this one !
The first two episode are great can't wait for next week
Alright, some of Spider-Man's quips in this were pretty solid. Hope the Greater MCU takes notes so we get these kinda quips in the movie
I love your friendly neighborhood spider man
14:56 Is that a Batman reference with the hockey pads?
4:31 up and drinking an smokin an thinking I need something to watch! This is perfect
As a huge animation fan and dc and marvels too I’m loveing this
9:31 I know her because of the Midnight Suns game
Aaron & Greg’s fit is on point today!🎉💯💯
I thought this show was almost always advertised (at least the majority of the time, I do remember the early, early concept was Spiderman Freshman year and then it got changed) as a sort of "What if" Spider-man show. I remember one of the first things they said about it was "What if Peter met Norman Osborne instead of Tony Stark" in that specific scene. I personally am happy this is it's own thing with MCU touches!
I can't help but look at the art style of this show and think of the game Façade from 2005, where you're typing out things to say to this AI couple at a dinner party.
16:10 Wave has finally made her TV debut!!! 😁😁😁
Spider-Man
TV Series
1967-1970
Here’s the original tv series : cartoon I use to watch on tv . It leaped into the 90s
The theme for this show goes HARD 🔥
Ngl I want Nico and Peter to get together through the series
20:24 ,"wow we can't be friends anymore, don't come by my house no more, don't talk to me,we not friends" 😔
4:58 CHEDDAR MENTION!!!!
Pleasantly surprised by how pulled in I was into these first two- excited to watch the rest of the season.
