- Südwestlich der Hafenstadt Newcastle, liegen im Herzen Nordenglands, von Nordreisenden gerne mal übersehen, die Nationalparks Lake District, Yorkshire Dales und Peak District. Wer jedoch zu ihnen vordringt, der wird mit einer atemberaubenden Landschaft aus einsamen Hochmooren und Jahrhunderte alter Geschichte beschenkt. Hier ist England rauh und ursprünglich.
Wir haben die Nationalparks im Sommer 2018 mit dem Motorrad bereist. Gleichzeitig war diese Reise auch eine Premiere für mich und meine Frau. Es war die erste längere gemeinsame Tour auf zwei Rädern. Seit dieser Zeit ist das Motorrad unser liebstes Reisevehikel.
The North of England is home to some of the UK’s most stunning countryside - with The Yorkshire Dales, The Lake District National Park and Northumberland all within this breath-taking area.
We've made this Journey in Summer 2018. It was the first time together with my wife on a Motorbike for longer than 2 days. Since this vacation we really found love for traveling by bike.In 2019 we travelled across Europe for six weeks on our trusted Africa Twin. Traveling by bike has become our favorite style of traveling.

Tausendmal besser als Reiseberichte im öffentlich-rechtlichen. Nicht von einem Konsumtempel zum Nächsten, sondern wirklich Natur und Kultur. Und dazu noch mit einer sehr angenehmen Stimme vertont. Vielen Dank das macht Lust auf Motorradreisen und Reisen im Allgemeinen

Perfectly well shot, edited and told itinerary. I am blown away by its quality. Definitely one of the best motorbike travel stuff here at RUclips.
Only downside, you‘ll get addicted watching it and procuration of fresh stuff isn‘t that easy these days. By the way, beautiful landscape and great places to go up there in England, I agree. Keep it up!

@@AlexonRoad Yes, most head for the A1 North to Scotland, I just wish riders would take a different road through Northumberland and Borders, the A1 is a terrible road! Its a shame most miss NCL City, buit like many cities it has many hidden gems :D Cheers!

Sehr sehr schön! Und sehr professinell gemachter Reisebericht. Unterhaltsam, informativ, kurzweilig. Super Tonqualität, der Mix aus Kommentierung aus dem Off und vor der Kamera/im VLOG-Stil gefällt mir sehr gut. Filmschauplätze sind auch eine Art von Sightseeing, klasse Idee.
Auch an dieser Stelle nochmals willkommen in unserem Reiseforum. :) Da bin ich gespannt auf die nächsten Reiseberichte in Filmform. Ich schaue mich mal noch in den anderen Videos um, was es da so gibt.

I am lucky enough to live in Harrogate close to the Yorkshire Dales and know the areas you visited very well, there is lots more to see and visit - and did you realise you missed one of our National Parks - the "North York Moors" which is to the East of the Yorkshire Dales". I hope you come back and visit it, you can get to it quickly if you take a ferry from Zeebrugge to Hull. Thanks again

Wunderbares Video. Seit 25 Jahren bin ich UK affin veranlagt und habe das Land intensiv mit Auto und Motorrad bereist. Beruflich bin ich jede Woche in England/UK unterwegs und liebe das britische "Hinterland". Tolles Video, sehr professionell gemacht. Habe es mit Begeisterung angesehen!

Eine absolut gelungene und sehr schöne Reisereportage. Bilder, Musik und das gesprochene Wort aus dem "Off" passer sehr gut zusammen!
Es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht den Film anzusehen und sich dem Fernweh hinzugeben.....
Du hast mich fast dazu verleitet, meine Africa Twin aus der Garage zu holen und direkt los zu fahren. (Ach so, das geht ja gerade leider nicht)
Nun ja, dann nutze ich die Zeit Zuhause und fange mal an zu planen, für die eigene Reise nach Nord England.

Starke Reise-Wie macht sich die Afrika Twin denn mit vollen Gepäck und Sozia? Ich muss noch etwas sparen und dann soll’s auch eine werden...du fährst sie ja schon eine Weile, wenn du in der Coronazeit auch zu viel Langeweile hast, kannst du ja mal ein Pro/Contra zum bike machen...bleib gesund 🙋🏻♂️
Hi Eric, es gibt einige, die die Federung bei voller Beladung furchtbar weich finden, trotz Druckstufenanpassung, die ich natürlich auf Reisen mit dem Gewicht auf Maximum einstelle. Berichte darüber finden sich auch in viele Foren. Ein guter Freund von mir hat die Touratech Suspension eingebaut und ist mehr als zufrieden. Ich empfinde das eher angenehm. Zusammen mit Helga und Gerödel macht sich die Twin auf Reisen mehr als gut, vorausgesetzt, das zulässige Zuladegewicht wird nicht überschritten, aber da wir beide nicht sehr schwer sind, passt das mehr als gut. Eine schöne Idee, nach nun 4 Jahren AT einen PRO/CON zu machen, ich denke mal darüber nach. Danke Dir erst einmal für Deine Rückmeldung und bleib Du bitte auch gesund... Liebe Grüße Alex

Hi John and imagine, we did that last year, we went round Ireland in 4 weeks with our Motorbike. And you're really right, it's simply the best. We fell in love in Ireland. The travel documentation is still on my hard drive waiting to be edited.

Die Qualität deiner kleinen feinen Dokus ist wirklich unglaublich. ich wünsche euch noch viele viele weitere schöne Reisen und dass dir die Lust am Filmen nicht vergeht. Dann kann ich euch noch oft folgen. - an Irland hättet ihr glaube ich auch mächtig Spaß. Bisher war ich dort immer mit den kleinsten und billigsten Leihwagen an der westküste unterwegs bin im Geiste aber immer Motorrad gefahren 😇

Toll gemacht, ein richtiger Hingucker. Chapeau! Toll ist vor allem das lebendige Kommentieren, etwas vor dem ich mich immer gescheut habe. Aber ihr macht Mut und Lust, dass auch mal anzugehen. Das wirkt einfach seeehr lebendig. Ich bin begeistert!

@@AlexonRoad Ich lebe in Thessaloniki, von wo es wirklich tolle Möglichkeiten für Touren bei gleichzeitig guter touristischer Infrastruktur gibt. Chalkidiki, Meteora, das Bergland an den Grenzen zu Nordmakedonien und Albanien - dort finden sich Ziele ern masse. Schade eigentlich, dass Griechenland bei den meisten nur für die Inseln im Süden steht.
Carsten Mueller In Griechenland habe ich Helga kennengelernt, also haben wir eine ganz besondere Beziehung zum Land und ich war in früheren Jahren öfters in Katerini... ja traumhaft, es wird Zeit diese Gegend mal ein bisschen populärer zu machen und eine Reisereportage darüber zu schreiben. Ich habe den Norden gerade auf meine Reiseliste ganz nach oben gezogen. Die Chancen stehen gut, dass wir zusammen eine Tour machen. 😁👍

Nein, fürs Fernsehen arbeite ich nicht, dann wäre ich mit Filmcrew und Skript unterwegs und das wäre dann eine große Sache ohne diese Freiheiten, die es jetzt gibt. So steht die Reise im Vordergrund und dann entsteht daraus der Film und ich kann ich alles selber machen 😀
@@AlexonRoad darf ich mal Fragrn mit welchem Programm du den Cut machst, also die Filme? Ich aehe teilweise 3-4 verschiedene Kameraeinstellungen, das ist massiv viel Arbeit.

Als Braunschweiger muss ich leider etwas Wasser in den Wein gießen. Im Bradford Industrial Museum (24:05) stehen keine Panther Motorräder aus Braunschweig sondern die englischen Panther Motorräder die von Phelon & Moore in Yorkshire gebaut wurden. Die Pantherwerke in Braunschweig haben auch Motorräder gebaut, so weit mir bekannt, gab es aber nur Modelle mit Sachs 2-Takt Motor.
Das nenne ich beste Aufklärung. Danke Dir herzlich dafür und überhaupt für die Mühe zu schreiben. So lasse ich mir gerne etwas Wasser in den Wein kippen.

We made a similar trip autumn 2016: 4 days from Newcastle via darlington; Yorkshire Dales; Lake District to Carlisle and then into Scotland. Overhelming nature, stunning scenery.

Excellent video. You've made that area look very enticing. Normally it's cold, wet, windswept and miserable, which is why I've not visited, but it can look very nice if the sun makes an appearance. It's a barren, treeless area for a reason!
During summer in the UK the rain is warmer and you can see it for longer.
You may wish to visit Wales and Cornwall which are also very picturesque, but as usual ensure you bring your waterproof clothing.
However, at least they don't close roads off to motorcycles at weekends and national holidays! 😁
Hello and thank you for your feedback. We have experienced this region as we have described it. But we were also very lucky with the weather, then it looks inviting and friendly. You must go there sometime. Wales and Cornwall are at the top of our list, probably in 2022. Best regards

Good video. You should have visited Hardwick Hall on a hill on the eastern edge of the Peak District between Chesterfield and Mansfield. It was also a Cavendish/Devonshire property a sort of weekend hunting retreat. It featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The Lake District is so beautiful you only touched on such a small bit of it. There is so much beautiful walking to do there.

Toller Bericht mit viel Information! Leider habe ich die Tour im den Lake District nicht mit dem Motobike unternommen, aber deine Aussage zum Lake District teile ich! Echt eine andere Welt ganz ohne Bausünden. Die Tour mit dem Boot ist ein muss! Danke hat meine Erinnerungen aufgefrischt!

Yes, editing is a great pleasure for me, but it takes time. From GB to D and viceversa is currently only possible with quarantine, we have postponed our travel plans to Wales until next year.
