I can't say enough positive things about this vlog! I just LOVE that you pushed yourself to do something new and scary. When you put your hair in a bun for work sometimes, you remind me of "Moana." I’m from Australia & we’re surrounded by White Pointer Sharks -the ultimate killers, so I don’t wanna risk it!! But, I sort of understand the feeling… it was similar to how I felt when I was around Lions in Kenya many years ago. Just to see them, so big, so powerful, but when they’re not being bothered, they are amazing to watch… Just respect them and don’t annoy them!! Great Vlog! Kirstey xx
Hi Julia. It’s great to see all the fun mini adventures you go on during layovers. Never sharks but I once snorkeled near barracudas which was a little unnerving. If you ever have a free day in San Francisco, I have a suggestion you might like. If you go to the decommissioned Nike missile site near Fort Funston during any nice day, you can watch hang gliders launch from a high cliff over the beach and soar nearby for about as long as the flyers want. The San Francisco Zoo and Lake Merced are also within easy walking distance. These are all about 15 minutes by car from SFO.

Hello Julia!! I was so happy to see this video!! I watched a show on TV that was about a Shark Researcher that takes people under the water to get up close and personal with sharks. He believes sharks attack people by mistake. Also, that they respond positively to touch. When he gets in the water a female shark rushes over to him and rubs up against him. And, nudges his hand. She wants to be petted! And, she obviously loves it! The other people pet the sharks, too. This is a group of sharks that are used to people. He wants other countries to quit hunting sharks, or cutting off their top fin. My favorite jet is the Boeing 777, because I love the monster GE90 engines. Great vlog as always! Sharks, cool! What I have notised on the bus is that is loud and noizy in the cabin compare to the 737.
When I was like 18 years old I wanted to do this, go shark cage diving...now that I'm 30 not so much! I applaud you for being brave!
Did cage-shark diving in Haleiwa (Oahu, Hawaii). Boat took us out, many people got sick, depth at anchor pretty deep……once was more than enough.

My dad used to be a commercial diver and he had tons of stories about encounters with different fish and even a few sharks. I've always wanted to get my SCUBA licence and go diving as a thing to do on vacation. I'm thinking I should pick that dream up again !

I missed it once I left the Airlines and thought I could not use it anymore, because usually you had to have an airline email which of course I didn't have once I left the airlines. But sounds like you're saying I can use it now without that affiliation. Cool!

I'm so glad you had such a marvelous time! Also, I find it so incredible that you are such an "ocean girl," given the fact that you hail from the U.S. Desert Southwest. Not gonna "flame" ya, but I'm one of those people - "if it ain't Boeing, I ain't going!" LOL!! Well, maybe not quite so extreme. But I do prefer Boeing over Airbus. I don't hate Airbus - in fact, I quite like the A320. However, the A319 drives me around the bend!! As many times as I've flown, I have never had a decent ride on that "baby bus." Not a comfortable ride at all. But that's just MHO.

Julia, you are looking happy, healthy and gorgeous today😊. That was quite exciting seeing you swimming with the sharks. Glad that everything went well. I agree with you about Airbus planes. They tend to be more quiet than Boeing aircraft generally speaking. Have you ever flown on the double decker A-380? That is a real experience to enjoy, though right now most airlines that own them aren't using them because of reduced loads. The A-350, a wide body and a favorite of mine, is a super quiet and comfortable plane, usually used for long haul flights. Hopefully, you'll get a chance to fly on one in the future. Congrats on the shark 🦈 swim. I’ve swam with nurse sharks not sure how I am still have a fear of sharks but also a fascination. I would like to try cage diving with great whites, now that’s bucket list! 😳

That’s awesome that you got to shark dive and see at least 5 of them. I honestly though prefer Boeing over airbus even though I like how airbus operates more smooth as well. I still never flew on a wide body aircraft before but I was able to fly on one with propellers for the very first time a couple days ago at a local airport festival. It was also the first and only time this year I flew on a plane.

Fly fishing in New Zealand as a former UA onboard service manager my mom dad and brother flew business while I worked the flight LAX to AUK. I we had the best time 6 days unfortunately this was the last flight series I had with my parents a month later mom and dad were hit by a drunk driver and passed but was so happy my last trip with them was this...love your vlog miss flying so much 💗💖❤
