Thank you, we are really glad that this video helped you on your project. Trolls are just going to troll, you think they'd have something better to do with their time, we just ignore them.
Hey man! Thank you so much for the video and part link. I bought it and installed it on my 95 YJ and it works perfectly. Also what part of Florida are y’all in?
@@ChrisDoesWhat I was also stranded on the side of the road the first time it happened hahah. But that’s sweet! Me as well. I’m close to Panama City Beach.
@@ChrisDoesWhat So was the clutch stuck in the engaged position (as though the pedal were up), or disengaged (as though the pedal were down). I'm having a tough time understanding what's keeping it stuck with the pressure from the whole diaphragm spring trying to push it back
@@ChrisDoesWhat Great- that's probably my problem then! That's such a weird failure mode though. You'd think the big diaphraghm spring on the clutch would force the slave cylinder to react if it failed. It's as though it's snagging on something.
Thanks for the instructions. Did you pull the retainer off the push rod on the slave cylinder? Others have say to leave on. Is it still good after 2 years?
No... this set up won't work on your '89 YJ ... Those jeeps have an internal slave/throw out bearing combo. The only way to replace it is to drop the transmission
Great video. It appears mine has failed, so this video gave me the confidence to do the job myself instead of towing it in. Thanks!
If you need a new one, these are pretty cheap on Amazon. Good luck with the repairs!
Very helpful instructions. Thank you! Whoever the one guy is that gave the negative comment is just a troll. This is spot on thank you!

Very helpful video, thank you!
Welcome. glad this helped.
Thanks looks pretty easy, I just bought from your link. Cheers
Thank you, it's still working.
Great job keep making videos you made a great video.
Thank you, we have over 700 videos with new videos every week.
Thanks! Excellent video.
Thank you.
Awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it
Great job guys.
That’s a really clean Jeep for a ‘94
Thank you, we try to take care of things.

Glad this helped! This stranded us on the side of the road when it first happen. We are on the Gulf side of Florida.

So the slave cylinder was stuck "down" (disengaged)? I wonder why? I think the same thing happened to my TJ yesterday
The pushrod became stuck because as it wore out, it allowed the pushrod to move out of position and hang.

The slave cylinder was stuck in the position of the clutch pedal being down.

Wish you the best on this, we have bigger issues since a snowbird hit our jeep. Those repairs will be coming soon.
Very good instructions. Usually I have to replace slave and master at the same time on my car as well.
Yes, it just makes sense to do them both, thanks for the support. Don't think the stuff I do is quite as hard as what you work on in your videos.
@@ChrisDoesWhat well, you do some really good stuff.
Thank you for your help 🙏
You're welcome 😊
Very nice job. Thank you
Thanks for watching! When this broke on us our jeep was stuck on the side of the road, towing is quite expensive.
Thanks for the instructions. Did you pull the retainer off the push rod on the slave cylinder? Others have say to leave on. Is it still good after 2 years?
We haven't had an issue since install. If you are talking about the plastic thing that gold the push rod for the slave cylinder, yes we took that off.
Is that part specifically for the 94 ? I have a 92 with the same problem and the amazon post says it wont fit my jeep
This one fits a 94 to 95 YJ Jeep.
You have internal slave
Steven Clarke
ya 1987-1994.5 is internal slave cylinder, some 1994 and all 1995s are external slave cylinder like this one.
"And find the socket after you drop it." LMAO... The powers of the universe also responsible for single sock stealing.
LOL, have lost so many tools from them falling in mystery cracks in car engine bays. Bet they are discovered on trails.
Thanks man
Welcome. glad this helped.
thank you sir
Most welcome
I know this is for a ‘94, but would it work on a ‘93 YJ?
Don't think so, this says it is for a 94 to 95.
Do you think this assembly will work on an 89' jeep wrangler 4.2?
Could not tell you if it would fit, look on the internet or reach out to a pro parts supplier.

shujin12345678 - What about for a ‘93? I think I have to drop the tranny just like the 89 but I’m not 100% sure. That sucks.
Spencer Brady
1987-1994.5 you have to pull the transmission
You didn’t show what to do with the plastic piece holding the space shut
You mean the piece of packaging to get the rod depressed, well you don't install it with that on.
Thenz good.
thanks!
